TL;DR: An effective algorithm is developed for multilabel classification with utilizing those data that are relevant to the targets, where the mapping relationship exploits the correlations among the instances, rather than the explicit relationship between the variables and the class labels of data.
Abstract: Multilabel learning has a wide range of potential applications in reality. It attracts a great deal of attention during the past years and has been extensively studied in many fields including image annotation and text categorization. Although many efforts have been made for multilabel learning, there are two challenging issues remaining, i.e., how to exploit the correlations and how to tackle the high-dimensional problems of multilabel data. In this paper, an effective algorithm is developed for multilabel classification with utilizing those data that are relevant to the targets. The key is the construction of a coefficient-based mapping between training and test instances, where the mapping relationship exploits the correlations among the instances, rather than the explicit relationship between the variables and the class labels of data. Further, a constraint, l¹-norm penalty, is performed on the mapping relationship to make the model sparse, weakening the impacts of noisy data. Our empirical study on eight public datasets shows that the proposed method is more effective in comparing with the state-of-the-art multilabel classifiers.

TL;DR: A range of hydroxypyridinone-L-phenylalanine conjugates were synthesized starting from kojic acid and showed potent inhibitory effect against mushroom tyrosinase, suggesting they could bind to both the free enzyme and the enzyme-substrate complexes.
Abstract: A range of hydroxypyridinone-L-phenylalanine conjugates were synthesized starting from kojic acid. Their tyrosinase activity was determined, and it was found that one of the compounds ((S)-(5-(benzyloxy)-1-octyl-4-oxo-1,4-dihydropyridin-2-yl)methyl 2-amino-3-phenylpropanoate, 5e) showed potent inhibitory effect against mushroom tyrosinase, the IC50 values for monophenolase and diphenolase activities being 12.6 and 4.0 μM, respectively. It was also demonstrated that these conjugates are mixed-type inhibitors, suggesting they could bind to both the free enzyme and the enzyme-substrate complexes. MTT assay indicated that 5e was nontoxic to three cell lines. This compound may find applications in food preservation and cosmetics.

TL;DR: This paper proposes a new data sharing protocol for cloud computing by using a new cryptographic primitive named online/offline attribute-based proxy re-encryption and the transform key technique, and is the first one featuring with fine-grained access control, flexible sharing, data confidentiality, and minimum online computational cost on the user side at the same time.
Abstract: Due to the convenience, the data sharing in cloud computing via mobile devices has become more and more popular. However, data confidentiality and online computational cost still present practical concerns to the deployment of data sharing in cloud computing for mobile devices. Existing data sharing protocols in cloud computing either cannot support the flexible sharing style for the encrypted data, or suffer from massive online computational cost that scales with the complexity of the access policy. In this paper, to cope with these challenging concerns, we propose a new data sharing protocol for cloud computing by using a new cryptographic primitive named online/offline attribute-based proxy re-encryption and the transform key technique. To the best of our knowledge, the proposed data sharing protocol is the first one featuring with fine-grained access control, flexible sharing, data confidentiality, and minimum online computational cost on the user side at the same time. Furthermore, the proposed online/offline attribute-based proxy re-encryption scheme may be of independent interest. At last, extensive analysis shows that our proposed data sharing protocol is secure in terms of data confidentiality, and suitable for mobile devices in terms of online computational cost.
