TL;DR: The inputs from the complicated tributaries system led to a 20-fold increase of MPs flux, and would significantly improve their budget of downstream and estuary, so it is suggested the control and management on plastic pollution should be strengthened in all aspects.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of exogenous oxalic acid treatment on ripening attributes of banana fruit during storage was investigated, and it was concluded that the delay in banana fruit ripening was due to inhibition of respiration and ethylene production rates, and reduction of reactive oxygen species through increased antioxidant activity.

TL;DR: In this article, an electronic nose based quality predictive model of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) stored at 277 K temperature was proposed, where the changes of sensor array response to samples were caused by the new generated gas species released by microbial propagations.
Abstract: An electronic nose based quality predictive model of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) stored at 277 K temperature was proposed in this paper. The changes of sensor array response to samples were caused by the new-generated gas species released by microbial propagations. Principal component analysis method discriminated fresh grass carp samples from medium samples and aged samples. Stochastic resonance signal-to-noise ratio maximums distinguished fresh, medium, and aged grass carp samples successfully. The quality predicting model was developed based on signal-to-noise ratio maximums non-linear fitting regression. Validating experiments demonstrated that the predicting accuracy of this model was 87.5%. This method presented some advantages including easy operation, quick response, high accuracy, good repeatability, etc. This method is promising in aquatic food products quality evaluating applications.

TL;DR: This research utilizes panel data of 285 Chinese cities for the period of 2006-2015 to explore the spatial dependence of the MSW, and indicates that while road length, tertiary proportion, urbanization rate, and GDP per capita have significantly accelerated MSW generation, sanitation investment and education level are slightly negatively correlated with MSWgeneration.
