Abstract: GST is one of the most crucial tax reforms in India which was introduced on 1st July 2017. It is a comprehensive tax system that will subsume all indirect taxes of states and central governments and unified economy into a seamless national market. Under GST goods and services are taxed with rates 0%, 5%, 12%, 18%, 28%. It is expected to iron out wrinkles of existing indirect tax system and play a vital role in growth of India. However, there is a huge hue and cry against its implementation. This paper presents an overview of GST concept, explains its features along with its timeline of implementation in India. The paper is more focused on advantages of GST and challenges faced by India in execution

Abstract: The importance of MSME has been recognized in recent years in both developed and developing countries for its significant contribution in gratifying various socio-economic objectives such as higher growth of employment, output, promotion of exports and fostering entrepreneurship. They play a crucial role in the industrial development of any country. The MSME sector is an important pillar of Indian economy as it contributes greatly to growth of Indian economy. This sector even assumes greater importance now as the country moves towards a faster and inclusive growth agenda. Moreover, it is the MSME sector which can help realize the target of proposed National Manufacturing Policy of raising the share of manufacturing sector in GDP from 16% at present to 25% by the end of 2022. The present paper is an attempt to focus the present status of performance of MSMEs in India & future prospects. It is concluded that this sector contributes significantly to manufacturing output, employment, exports of the country.

Abstract: India is a developing economy, here Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) play important role in organizations. In Indian industry one can easily notice a paradigm shift from corporate philanthropist to being socially responsible. The importance of CSR is increasing in Indian corporate scenario because organization have realize that ultimate goal is not profit making beside this trust building is viable and assert able with societal relationship. The compulsion of CSR has emerged in last two decades when Indian organization realizes the importance of sustaining in this cutthroat competition era. Before this Indian industries had materialistic culture. In the hue and cry of LPG (Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization) companies were only focused toward profit maximization which led social backwash. To overcome this fashion CSR play an important role in sustainable development which is only possible when there is a balance between profit and lowering social backwash or eradicating it. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is gaining more and more importance day by day. Changing market scenario, globalization, ethical consumerism all are adding heat to the CSR concept. More and more organizations are showing their commitments towards CSR either for enhancing their corporate image or to be in competition.

Abstract: This paper is an attempt to understand the current position of The Indian Rupee as an international currency. The characteristics of an international currency such as reserve currency, hand to hand currency, currency for invoicing, currency for financial market, currency for pegging, currency for government intervention etc. are analyzed for rupee, to find its current standing as international currency. The future potential of The Indian Rupee to become an international currency is also explored, in the light of Indian authority’s effort to increase Rupee settlement trade. Further ,structural factors essential for making Rupee as international currency such as convertibility of rupee, open and developed financial market, less volatility of rupee, less inflation, trade dominance, share in world GDP, foreigner confidence in rupee, liquidity or availability to non-resident etc., are theoretically analyzed. Descriptive approach is followed, along with data from different sources.

Abstract: This study examines the Export competitiveness and Export performance of Indian textile with respect to rest of the world The study focuses on Export performance and competitiveness of Indian textile industry dur­ing the period of 2010-2013 Export competitiveness is calculated with the help of Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) of eleven dif­ferent product group of Textiles Our results show that seven out of eleven products have competitive advantage and rest four products don’t have competitive advantage The commodities which are more competitive in the international market are Silk; Cotton; Vegetable textile fibresnes, paper yarn, woven fabric; Manmade filament; Manmade staple fibers; Carpets and other textile floor coverings and Special woven or tufted fabric, lace, tapestry etc The commodities that are performing fairly well in international market with the highest value of RCA are Cotton and Carpets and other textile floor coverings
