TL;DR: In this paper, the Coulomb branch is defined as an affine algebraic variety with a singularity and a Coulomb action in the form Ω( √ √ N 2 ).
Abstract: Consider the $3$-dimensional $\mathcal N=4$ supersymmetric gauge theory associated with a compact Lie group $G_c$ and its quaternionic representation $\mathbf M$. Physicists study its Coulomb branch, which is a noncompact hyper-Kahler manifold with an $\mathrm{SU}(2)$-action, possibly with singularities. We give a mathematical definition of the Coulomb branch as an affine algebraic variety with $\mathbb C^\times$-action when $\mathbf M$ is of a form $\mathbf N\oplus\mathbf N^*$, as the second step of the proposal given in arXiv:1503.03676.

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the fixed-point vertex operator subalgebra (T^\sigma) is regular under the action of any finite solvable group, and that the twisted twining characters for commuting finite order automorphisms of holomorphic vertex operator algebras are also regular.
Abstract: We show that if $T$ is a simple non-negatively graded regular vertex operator algebra with a nonsingular invariant bilinear form and $\sigma$ is a finite order automorphism of $T$, then the fixed-point vertex operator subalgebra $T^\sigma$ is also regular. This yields regularity for fixed point vertex operator subalgebras under the action of any finite solvable group. As an application, we obtain an $SL_2(\mathbb{Z})$-compatibility between twisted twining characters for commuting finite order automorphisms of holomorphic vertex operator algebras. This resolves one of the principal claims in the Generalized Moonshine conjecture.

TL;DR: In this article, the Coulomb branches of unframed and framed quiver gauge theories of type $ADE were studied and shown to be isomorphic to the moduli space of based rational maps from the flag variety.
Abstract: This is a companion paper of arXiv:1601.03586. We study Coulomb branches of unframed and framed quiver gauge theories of type $ADE$. In the unframed case they are isomorphic to the moduli space of based rational maps from ${\mathbb C}P^1$ to the flag variety. In the framed case they are slices in the affine Grassmannian and their generalization. In the appendix, written jointly with Joel Kamnitzer, Ryosuke Kodera, Ben Webster, and Alex Weekes, we identify the quantized Coulomb branch with the truncated shifted Yangian.

Abstract: In the literature, one finds several competing notions for the super (ie, Z/2-graded) analog of a monoidal category The goal of this paper is to clarify these definitions and the connections between them We also discuss in detail the example of the odd Temperley-Lieb supercategory In a forthcoming article, we will exploit the formalism developed here in order to define super analogs of the Kac-Moody 2-categories of Khovanov-Lauda and Rouquier

TL;DR: The cohomological aspects of Donaldson-Thomas theory for Jacobi algebras and the associated cohomologically Hall algebra, introduced by Kontsevich and Soibelman, were studied in this paper.
Abstract: This paper concerns the cohomological aspects of Donaldson-Thomas theory for Jacobi algebras and the associated cohomological Hall algebra, introduced by Kontsevich and Soibelman. We prove the Hodge-theoretic categorification of the integrality conjecture and the wall crossing formula, and furthermore realise the isomorphism in both of these theorems as Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt isomorphisms for the associated cohomological Hall algebra. We do this by defining a perverse filtration on the cohomological Hall algebra, a result of the "hidden properness" of the semisimplification map from the moduli stack of semistable representations of the Jacobi algebra to the coarse moduli space of polystable representations. This enables us to construct a degeneration of the cohomological Hall algebra, for generic stability condition and fixed slope, to a free supercommutative algebra generated by a mixed Hodge structure categorifying the BPS invariants. As a corollary of this construction we furthermore obtain a Lie algebra structure on this mixed Hodge structure - the Lie algebra of BPS invariants - for which the entire cohomological Hall algebra can be seen as the positive part of a Yangian-type quantum group.

TL;DR: In this article, a notion of mutation of subcategories in an extriangulated category is defined, and applications to exact categories and triangulated categories are given by Nakaoka and Palu.
Abstract: Extriangulated categories were introduced by Nakaoka and Palu by extracting the similarities between exact categories and triangulated categories. A notion of mutation of subcategories in an extriangulated category is defined in this article. Let $\cal A$ be an extension closed subcategory of an extriangulated category $\cal C$. Then the quotient category $\cal M:=\cal{A}/\cal{X}$ carries naturally a triangulated structure whenever $(\cal A,\cal A)$ forms an $\cal X$-mutation pair. This result unifies many previous constructions of triangulated quotient categories, and using it gives a classification of thick triangulated subcategories of pretriangulated category $\cal{C}/\cal{X}$, where $\cal X$ is functorially finite in $\cal C$. When $\cal C$ has Auslander-Reiten translation $\tau$, we prove that for a functorially finite subcategory $\cal X$ of $\cal C$ containing projectives and injectives, $\cal{C}/\cal{X}$ is a triangulated category if and only if $(\cal C,\cal C)$ is $\cal X-$mutation if and only if $\tau \underline{\cal X}=\bar{\cal X}.$ This generalizes a result by Jorgensen who proved the equivalence between the first and the third conditions for triangulated categories. Furthermore, we show that for such a subcategory $\cal X$ of the extriangulated category $\cal C$, $\cal C$ admits a new extriangulated structure such that $\cal C$ is a Frobenius extriangulated category. Applications to exact categories and triangulated categories are given. From the applications we present examples that extriangulated categories are neither exact categories nor triangulated categories.

TL;DR: In this article, a simple, finite-dimensional Lie (super) algebra equipped with an embedding of a simple Lie algebra with strong generators in weights $1,2,3/2, and all operator product expansions are known explicitly.
Abstract: Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a simple, finite-dimensional Lie (super)algebra equipped with an embedding of $\mathfrak{s} \mathfrak{l}_2$ inducing the minimal gradation on $\mathfrak{g}$ The corresponding minimal $\mathcal{W}$-algebra $\mathcal{W}^k(\mathfrak{g}, e_{-\theta})$ introduced by Kac and Wakimoto has strong generators in weights $1,2,3/2$, and all operator product expansions are known explicitly The weight one subspace generates an affine vertex (super)algebra $V^{k'}(\mathfrak{g}^{ atural})$ where $\mathfrak{g}^{ atural} \subset \mathfrak{g}$ denotes the centralizer of $\mathfrak{s} \mathfrak{l}_2$ Therefore $\mathcal{W}^k(\mathfrak{g}, e_{-\theta})$ has an action of a connected Lie group $G^{ atural}_0$ with Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}^{ atural}_0$, where $\mathfrak{g}^{ atural}_0$ denotes the even part of $\mathfrak{g}^{ atural}$ We show that for any reductive subgroup $G \subset G^{ atural}_0$, and for any reductive Lie algebra $\mathfrak{g}' \subset \mathfrak{g}^{ atural}$, the orbifold $\mathcal{O}^k = \mathcal{W}^k(\mathfrak{g}, e_{-\theta})^{G}$ and the coset $\mathcal{C}^k = \text{Com}(V(\mathfrak{g}'),\mathcal{W}^k(\mathfrak{g}, e_{-\theta}))$ are strongly finitely generated for generic values of $k$ Here $V(\mathfrak{g}')$ denotes the affine vertex algebra associated to $\mathfrak{g}'$ We find explicit minimal strong generating sets for $\mathcal{C}^k$ when $\mathfrak{g}' = \mathfrak{g}^{ atural}$ and $\mathfrak{g}$ is either $\mathfrak{s} \mathfrak{l}_n$, $\mathfrak{s}\mathfrak{p}_{2n}$, $\mathfrak{s}\mathfrak{l}(2|n)$ for $n eq 2$, $\mathfrak{p}\mathfrak{s}\mathfrak{l}(2|2)$, or $\mathfrak{o}\mathfrak{s}\mathfrak{p}(1|4)$ Finally, we conjecture some surprising coincidences among families of cosets $\mathcal{C}_k$ which are the simple quotients of $\mathcal{C}^k$, and we prove several cases of our conjecture

Abstract: We classify filtered quantizations of conical symplectic singularities and use this to show that all filtered quantizations of symplectic quotient singularities are spherical Symplectic reflection algebras of Etingof and Ginzburg. We further apply our classification and a classification of filtered Poisson deformations obtained by Namikawa to establish a version of the Orbit method for semisimple Lie algebras. Namely, we produce a natural map from the set of adjoint orbits in a semisimple Lie algebra to the set of primitive ideals in the universal enveloping algebra. We show that the map is injective for classical Lie algebras.

TL;DR: In this paper, a tensor vertex superalgebra is defined as the intersection of kernels of the screening operators, acting on the tensor vertices of an affine vertex super-algebra and a neutral free superfermion vertex super algebra.
Abstract: Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a simple finite-dimensional Lie superalgebra with a non-degenerate supersymmetric even invariant bilinear form, $f$ a nilpotent element in the even part of $\mathfrak{g}$, $\Gamma$ a good grading of $\mathfrak{g}$ for $f$ and $\mathcal{W}^{k}(\mathfrak{g},f;\Gamma)$ the $\mathcal{W}$-algebra associated with $\mathfrak{g},f,k,\Gamma$ defined by the generalized Drinfeld-Sokolov reduction. In this paper, we present each $\mathcal{W}$-algebra as the intersection of kernels of the screening operators, acting on the tensor vertex superalgebra of an affine vertex superalgebra and a neutral free superfermion vertex superalgebra. As applications, we prove that the $\mathcal{W}$-algebra associated with a regular nilpotent element in $\mathfrak{osp}(1,2n)$ is isomorphic to the $\mathcal{W}B_{n}$-algebra introduced by Fateev and Lukyanov, and that the $\mathcal{W}$-algebra associated with a subregular nilpotent element in $\mathfrak{sl}_{n}$ is isomorphic to the $\mathcal{W}^{(2)}_{n}$-algebra introduced by Feigin and Semikhatov.

TL;DR: In this article, the rationality properties of reductive group actions over an arbitrary field of characteristic zero were studied. But the main tool is a k-version of the local structure theorem.
Abstract: In this paper, we study rationality properties of reductive group actions which are defined over an arbitrary field of characteristic zero. Thereby, we unify Luna's theory of spherical systems and Borel-Tits' theory of reductive groups. In particular, we define for any reductive group action a generalized Tits index whose main constituents are a root system and a generalization of the anisotropic kernel. The index controls to a large extent the behavior at infinity (i.e., embeddings). For k-spherical varieties (i.e., where a minimal parabolic has an open orbit) we obtain explicit (wonderful) completions of the set of rational points. For local fields this means honest compactifications generalizing the maximal Satake compactification of a symmetric space. Our main tool is a k-version of the local structure theorem.

TL;DR: In this article, Morita invariant versions of Eilenberg-Watts type theorems were obtained for finite linear categories, relating Deligne products to categories of left exact as well as of right exact functors.
Abstract: We obtain Morita invariant versions of Eilenberg-Watts type theorems, relating Deligne products of finite linear categories to categories of left exact as well as of right exact functors. This makes it possible to switch between different functor categories as well as Deligne products, which is often very convenient. For instance, we can show that applying the equivalence from left exact to right exact functors to the identity functor, regarded as a left exact functor, gives a Nakayama functor. The equivalences of categories we exhibit are compatible with the structure of module categories over finite tensor categories. This leads to a generalization of Radford's $S^4$-theorem to bimodule categories. We also explain the relation of our construction to relative Serre functors on module categories that are constructed via inner Hom functors.

Abstract: We construct a long exact sequence involving the homology of an FI-module. Using the long exact sequence, we give two methods to bound the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of an FI-module which is generated and related in finite degree. We also prove that for an FI-module which is generated and related in finite degree, if it has a nonzero higher homology, then its homological degrees are strictly increasing (starting from the first homological degree).

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the heart of a cosilting t-structure is a Grothendieck category if and only if the (co)silting object satisfies a purity assumption.
Abstract: In the setting of compactly generated triangulated categories, we show that the heart of a (co)silting t-structure is a Grothendieck category if and only if the (co)silting object satisfies a purity assumption. Moreover, in the cosilting case the previous conditions are related to the coaisle of the t-structure being a definable subcategory. If we further assume our triangulated category to be algebraic, it follows that the heart of any nondegenerate compactly generated t-structure is a Grothendieck category.

As an application, we show that the depth introduced by the second author coincides with a more classical invariant from commutative algebra, and obtain upper bounds of a few important invariants of FI_G-modules in terms of torsion degrees of their local cohomology groups.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors introduce and survey a Betti form of the geometric Langlands conjecture, parallel to the de Rham form developed by Beilinson-Drinfeld and Arinkin-Gaitsgory, and the Dolbeault form of Donagi-Pantev, inspired by the work of Kapustin-Witten in supersymmetric gauge theory.
Abstract: We introduce and survey a Betti form of the geometric Langlands conjecture, parallel to the de Rham form developed by Beilinson-Drinfeld and Arinkin-Gaitsgory, and the Dolbeault form of Donagi-Pantev, and inspired by the work of Kapustin-Witten in supersymmetric gauge theory. The conjecture proposes an automorphic category associated to a compact Riemann surface X and complex reductive group G is equivalent to a spectral category associated to the underlying topological surface S and Langlands dual group G^. The automorphic category consists of suitable C-sheaves on the moduli stack Bun_G(X) of G-bundles on X, while the spectral category consists of suitable O-modules on the character stack Loc_G^(S) of G^-local systems on S. The conjecture is compatible with and constrained by the natural symmetries of both sides coming from modifications of bundles and local systems. On the one hand, cuspidal Hecke eigensheaves in the de Rham and Betti sense are expected to coincide, so that one can view the Betti conjecture as offering a different "integration measure" on the same fundamental objects. On the other hand, the Betti spectral categories are more explicit than their de Rham counterparts and one might hope the conjecture is less challenging. The Betti program also enjoys symmetries coming from topological field theory: it is expected to extend to an equivalence of four-dimensional topological field theories, and in particular, the conjecture for closed surfaces is expected to reduce to the case of the thrice-punctured sphere. Finally, we also present ramified, quantum and integral variants of the conjecture, and highlight connections to other topics, including representation theory of real reductive groups and quantum groups.

TL;DR: In this article, simple transitive representations of Soergel bimodules over the coin-variant algebra have been investigated in finite Coxeter types, and it has been shown that in most cases, in most of the cases, simple transitives are exhausted by cell $2$-representations.
Abstract: In all finite Coxeter types but $I_2(12)$, $I_2(18)$ and $I_2(30)$, we classify simple transitive $2$-rep\-re\-sen\-ta\-ti\-ons for the quotient of the $2$-category of Soergel bimodules over the coinvariant algebra which is associated to the two-sided cell that is the closest one to the two-sided cell containing the identity element. It turns out that, in most of the cases, simple transitive $2$-representations are exhausted by cell $2$-representations. However, in Coxeter types $I_2(2k)$, where $k\geq 3$, there exist simple transitive $2$-representations which are not equivalent to cell $2$-representations.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors consider the question of when a lift of an element of a reductive algebraic group lifts to a Cartan subgroup of the Weyl group.
Abstract: Suppose $G$ is a reductive algebraic group, $T$ is a Cartan subgroup, $N=\text{Norm}(T)$, and $W=N/T$ is the Weyl group. If $w\in W$ has order $d$, it is natural to ask about the orders lifts of $w$ to $N$. It is straightforward to see that the minimal order of a lift of $w$ has order $d$ or $2d$, but it can be a subtle question which holds. We first consider the question of when $W$ itself lifts to a subgroup of $N$ (in which case every element of $W$ lifts to an element of $N$ of the same order). We then consider two natural classes of elements: regular and elliptic. In the latter case all lifts of $w$ are conjugate, and therefore have the same order. We also consider the twisted case.

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that most supercuspidal representations of a tamely ramified reductive p-adic group arise from pairs (S,\theta), where S is a tame elliptic maximal torus of G, and \theta is a character of S satisfying a simple root-theoretic property.
Abstract: We show that, in good residual characteristic, most supercuspidal representations of a tamely ramified reductive p-adic group G arise from pairs (S,\theta), where S is a tame elliptic maximal torus of G, and \theta is a character of S satisfying a simple root-theoretic property. We then give a new expression for the roots of unity that appear in the Adler-DeBacker-Spice character formula for these supercuspidal representations and use it to show that this formula bears a striking resemblance to the character formula for discrete series representations of real reductive groups. Led by this, we explicitly construct the local Langlands correspondence for these supercuspidal representations and prove stability and endoscopic transfer in the case of toral representations. In large residual characteristic this gives a construction of the local Langlands correspondence for almost all supercuspidal representations of reductive p-adic groups.

TL;DR: In this paper, a Koszul duality theorem between the category of weight modules over the quantized Coulomb branch (as defined by Braverman, Finkelberg and Nakajima) attached to a group $G$ and representation $V$ is proven by relating both categories to an explicit, combinatorially presented category.
Abstract: We prove a Koszul duality theorem between the category of weight modules over the quantized Coulomb branch (as defined by Braverman, Finkelberg and Nakajima) attached to a group $G$ and representation $V$ and a category of $G$-equivariant D-modules on the vector space $V$. This is proven by relating both categories to an explicit, combinatorially presented category. These categories are related to generalized categories $\mathcal{O}$ for symplectic singularities. Letting $\mathcal{O}_{\operatorname{Coulomb}}$ and $\mathcal{O}_{\operatorname{Higgs}}$ be these categories for the Coulomb and Higgs branches associated to $V$ and $G$, we obtain a functor $\mathcal{O}_{\operatorname{Coulomb}}^!\to \mathcal{O}_{\operatorname{Higgs}}$ from the Koszul dual of one to the other. This functor is an equivalence in the special cases where the hyperkahler quotient of $T^*V$ by $G$ is a Nakajima quiver variety or smooth hypertoric variety. This includes as special cases the parabolic-singular Koszul duality of category $\mathcal{O}$ in type A, the categorified rank-level duality proposed by Chuang and Miyachi and proven by Shan, Vasserot and Varagnolo, and the hypertoric Koszul duality proven by Braden, Licata, Proudfoot and the author. We also show that this equivalence intertwines so-called twisting and shuffling functors. This together with the duality discussed confirms the most important components of the symplectic duality conjecture of Braden, Licata, Proudfoot and the author in this case.

TL;DR: The main result is an isomorphism between the shard intersection order of the oriented flip graph and the lattice of noncrossing tree partitions that deduce a simple characterization of c-matrices of type A cluster algebras.
Abstract: In this paper, we study the lattice properties of posets of torsion pairs in the module category of a family of representation-finite gentle algebras called tiling algebras, introduced by Coelho Simoes and Parsons. We present a combinatorial model for torsion pairs using polyogonal subdivisions of a convex polygon. We use this model and the lattice theory to classify 2-term simple-minded collections in the bounded derived category of the corresponding tiling algebra. As a consequence, we obtain a characterization of c-matrices for any quiver mutation-equivalent to a type A Dynkin quiver. Our model is developed using the dual tree of a polygonal subdivision. Given such a tree, we introduce a simplicial complex of noncrossing geodesics supported by the tree which we call the noncrossing complex. The facets of the noncrossing complex may be given the structure of an oriented flip graph. Special cases of the oriented flip graphs that may be expressed in this way include the Tamari order, type A Cambrian orders, oriented exchange graphs for quivers mutation-equivalent to a path quiver. We prove that the oriented flip graph of any noncrossing complex is a polygonal, congruence-uniform lattice. To do so, we express the oriented flip graph as a lattice quotient of a lattice of biclosed sets. The facets of the noncrossing complex have an alternate ordering known as the shard intersection order. We prove that this shard intersection order is isomorphic to a lattice of noncrossing tree partitions. The oriented flip graph inherits a cyclic action from its congruence-uniform structure. On noncrossing tree partitions, this cyclic action generalizes the classical Kreweras complementation on noncrossing set partitions. We show that the data of a noncrossing tree partition and its Kreweras complement is equivalent to a 2-term simple-minded collection of the associated tiling algebra.

TL;DR: In this article, a new family of relaxed highest weight representations of affine vertex algebra (V_k(mathfrak{g})$ of type $A) was introduced, which are simple quotients of representations of the affine Kac-Moody algebra.
Abstract: For an admissible affine vertex algebra $V_k(\mathfrak{g})$ of type $A$, we describe a new family of relaxed highest weight representations of $V_k(\mathfrak{g})$. They are simple quotients of representations of the affine Kac-Moody algebra $\widehat{\mathfrak{g}}$ induced from the following $\mathfrak{g}$-modules: 1) generic Gelfand-Tsetlin modules in the principal nilpotent orbit, in particular all such modules induced from $\mathfrak{sl}_2$; 2) all Gelfand-Tsetlin modules in the principal nilpotent orbit which are induced from $\mathfrak{sl}_3$; 3) all simple Gelfand-Tsetlin modules over $\mathfrak{sl}_3$. This in particular gives the classification of all simple positive energy weight representations of $V_k(\mathfrak{g})$ with finite dimensional weight spaces for $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{sl}_3$.

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the scattering matrix on the space of Whittaker functions for a simple reflection coincides with the twisted $R$-matrix of the quantum group $U_{\sqrt{v}}(widehat{\mathfrak{gl))(n)).
Abstract: We will give new applications of quantum groups to the study of spherical Whittaker functions on the metaplectic $n$-fold cover of $GL(r,F)$, where $F$ is a nonarchimedean local field. Earlier Brubaker, Bump, Friedberg, Chinta and Gunnells had shown that these Whittaker functions can be identified with the partition functions of statistical mechanical systems. They postulated that a Yang-Baxter equation underlies the properties of these Whittaker functions. We confirm this, and identify the corresponding Yang-Baxter equation with that of the quantum affine Lie superalgebra $U_{\sqrt{v}}(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}(1|n))$, modified by Drinfeld twisting to introduce Gauss sums. (The deformation parameter $v$ is specialized to the inverse of the residue field cardinality.) For principal series representations of metaplectic groups, the Whittaker models are not unique. The scattering matrix for the standard intertwining operators is vector valued. For a simple reflection, it was computed by Kazhdan and Patterson, who applied it to generalized theta series. We will show that the scattering matrix on the space of Whittaker functions for a simple reflection coincides with the twisted $R$-matrix of the quantum group $U_{\sqrt{v}}(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}(n))$. This is a piece of the twisted $R$-matrix for $U_{\sqrt{v}}(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}(1|n))$, mentioned above.

TL;DR: In this paper, a bijection between the support τ-rigid modules over a given finite-dimensional algebra and the support tau-tilting modules over finite wild blocks with more than one simple module is given.
Abstract: We prove a theorem which gives a bijection between the support $\tau$-tilting modules over a given finite-dimensional algebra $A$ and the support $\tau$-tilting modules over $A/I$, where $I$ is the ideal generated by the intersection of the center of $A$ and the radical of $A$. This bijection is both explicit and well-behaved. We give various corollaries of this, with a particular focus on blocks of group rings of finite groups. In particular we show that there are $\tau$-tilting finite wild blocks with more than one simple module. We then go on to classify all support $\tau$-tilting modules for all algebras of dihedral, semidihedral and quaternion type, as defined by Erdmann, which include all tame blocks of group rings. Note that since these algebras are symmetric, this is the same as classifying all basic two-term tilting complexes, and it turns out that a tame block has at most $32$ different basic two-term tilting complexes. We do this by using the aforementioned reduction theorem, which reduces the problem to ten different algebras only depending on the ground field $k$, all of which happen to be string algebras. To deal with these ten algebras we give a combinatorial classification of all $\tau$-rigid modules over (not necessarily symmetric) string algebras.
