Abstract: In 1981,Lamport proposed the first well-known remote password authentication scheme using smart cards.A number of remote password authentication schemes with smart cards have been present since then.Recently Shen,Lin and Hwang pointed out a different type of attack on this scheme and presented a modified scheme to remove these defects.In this paper we present a new remote user authentication scheme which is the modified form of the Shen-Lin-Hwang's scheme.In this scheme the password is controlled by the user,and at any time can be changer.The scheme can withstand attack that similar to Chan and Cheng's attack and Chang and Hwang' attack in registration phase and authentication phase.

Abstract: Copper is required by all living systems. Cells have a variety of mechanisms to deal with this essential, toxic trace element. A recently discovered homeostatic mechanism is the protein-mediated, intracellular delivery of copper to target proteins. Copper chaperones play an important role in intracellular copper routing. The function and structure of metallochaperone and copper chaperones were summarized.

Abstract: The total carbon reservoir both of organic and inorganic carbon in soils of China is calculated using the analytical data published in “Soil Species of China”. The total pool of organic carbon is 50 Pg and that of inorganic carbon is 60 Pg, occupying 1/40～1/30 and 1/20～1/15 of the world pools respectively.

Abstract: The ant colony algorithm is a novel simulated evolutionary algorithm which shows many good properties. This paper presents the principle, the characteristics, the construction and realization method about the basic model AS (Ant System) of the ant colony algorithm. Experimental analyses are carried out on the reasonable selection on the parameters of this algorithm, and basic principles for the parameter selection are provided. The results from this paper are beneficial to the application and development of the ant colony algorithm in optimization problems.

Abstract: To eliminate the shortcoming of standard backpropagation algorithm, some modified BP algorithms in the MATLAB's neural networks toolbox are given in the paper. These high performance algorithms are discussed in the optimization techniques and compared with speed and memory. For most situations, the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is advised to use first, then the BFGS algorithm, or one of the conjugate gradient methods, or RPROP algorithm is considered.
