TL;DR: In this paper, the energy consumption and environmental impact of a teaching building in Jiangsu province were conducted with life cycle assessment from its raw material production to the completion, and the assessment results help to optimize the scheme of design, production or transportation.
Abstract: Life cycle assessment(LCA)is used to analyze the impacts of the building on energy consumption and environment of the society. The analysis results assist the participants to understand impacts of each stage of the construction projects on energy and environment. The energy consumption and environmental impact of a teaching building in Jiangsu province were conducted with life cycle assessment from its raw material production to the completion. The assessment results help to optimize the scheme of design,production or transportation. The research direction was also proposed to extend the life cycle evaluation methods from the view of resource and energy saving and environment protection.

Abstract: Under the influence of modern information technology,project management has gradually changed to the management of project information.Meanwhile,the means of traditional information communication cannot satisfy modern large-medium projects.The existing problems were summarized according to the research of project management information system and practical application.The concept,characteristics and application prospects of the building information model(BIM) were introduced.The advantages of project management information system based on BIM were analyzed.Its structure and nine modules were presented.Finally,the system operation throughout the life cycle was discussed.

Abstract: In order to guide the building health diagnosis activity and to reduce the expense of building health diagnosis,the buildings information database was set up according to the human medical records in medical science.The content of building information database was designed,including basic information,problem list,SOAP progress note and attached reports.The role of the building information database was introduced as well as the process of its operation beginning from conceptual stage to decommissioning stage of the projects.Finally,the procedure of the building health diagnosis under the guidance of building information database was demonstrated.

Abstract: Earned value management is widely applied in project management as an effective method. The paper explored the deficiencies of progress analysis methods in traditional earned value theory,and presented a progress deviation method which distinguishes the critical and non-critical path. It analyzed the progress variance of the critical path and the non-critical path separately. Based on the construction units plan,the principle of Earned Time was introduced and a progress deviation model of the entire project was set up to calculate the progress of the project. The method enables the engineer to effectively evaluate the progress of the project and find out the source of progress deviation.

Abstract: Since China adopted formalized and standardized procedures of tender and bidding in the construction industry,many illegal actions have been prevented effectively. However,collusion tender,a new illegal activity,has recently emerged in many regions in China. It influences the fair competition and hampers the development in Chinese construction industry. The economic analysis on the anticipated profit for both collusion tender and accompany bidder were analyzed from the view of tender. The results show that the basic reasons of collusion tender are the system defects and the small penalty fee for the collusion bidders. The main measures for controlling the collusion tender were proposed,including increasing the cost of collusion tender, strengthening the inspection of tender and increasing the penalty fee.

Abstract: When a general contract project invites bidding,it faces three types of candidates. The types should be determined before bidding documents and evaluation criterions are work out. An evaluation index system was set up on the analysis of the characteristics of general contract project,procedure of bidding,and the characters of designer,construction enterprises and alliance. A hybrid double multiple attribute decision model for alternative projects was presented. The model was conducted by integrating fuzzy evaluation and Topsis. The weights distribution of each target by owner and the influence of change of β on the results were analyzed. The research results were validated by the data.

Abstract: With the growing of the energy crisis,building energy saving have been put on the agenda. It is more and more important to select suitable material and technology of building energy saving in the cost limitation. The building energy saving alternatives needs comparing to choose the optimal one in economy,environment and social benefit. From the view of building energy saving alternatives’ comprehensive benefits,a comprehensive assessment system was set up. The weights of indicators were identified using analytical hierarchy process. The value engineering was introduced to select the optimal building energy saving alternative from the life-cycle perspective.

Abstract: This paper analyzed the current situation and reasons of construction safety production in China,and pointed out the unreasonable safety investment is one of the major factors causing construction accidents. Based on the conception of safety investment and its formation,the gray relation model for safety investment was established using gray relation analysis theory to evaluate the relational degree of the safety system. The major factors which influence safety investment structure were found out to be as the preferred investment direction. This method provides theoretical basis for safety investment decision making of construction enterprises.
