Abstract: Based on the spatial economy theory and the exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) technology, this paper studies the space-time dynamics of regional per capita GDP in the Yangtze Delta. A sample of 74 regions in the Yangtze Delta over the period of 1994 to 2004 provides clear evidence of global and local spatial autocorrelation as well as spatial heterogeneity in the distribution of regional per capita GDP. The dynamism of regions is investigated by exploring the spatial pattern of regional growth, compared with that before 1997, the economic growth disparities among Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces have decreased, so have the inside regions of Zhejuiang Province, while it is opposite to the inside regions of Jiangsu Province.

Abstract: While economists have been contributing to the discussion of various aspects of sustainability for decades,it is just recently that the term "sustainability economics" was used explicitly in the ecological, environmental, and resource economics communityYet,the contributions that use the term "sustainability economics" do not refer to any explicit definition of the term, and are not obviously joined by common or unifying characteristics, such as subject focus, methodology,or institutional backgroundThe question thus arises: what is "sustainability economics"? In this essay,we systematically define and delineate "sustainability economics" in terms of its normative foundation, aims, subject matter, ontology, and genuine research agenda

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors calculated the carbon emission caused by energy consumption, through the analysis of panel data of energy and economy, and found that there is a reversed U shaped curve between carbon emission and economic growth.
Abstract: Based on the calculation of the carbon emission caused by energy consumption, through the analysis of panel data of energy and economy, we find: 1) There is a reversed U shaped curve between carbon emission and economic growth; 2) There lies a U shaped curve between carbon emission and energy consumption intensity; 3) And There lies a N shaped curve between carbon emission and the ratio of second industry; 4) Provincial regions carbon emissions were significantly spatial pattern of low in southeast, high in north central and low in northwest.
