TL;DR: This article tries to answer the following questions: is it worth making the effort of interrogating the history of the academic production about a given area of knowledge, choosing to read only bibliographic data and abstracts of works, and what does it man to read this institution of work dissemination (catalogues), taking it as a documental source to map the academicProduction in research called "state of art"?

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the contributions of the "policy cycle approach" to analyze educational policies and present a set of questions to the trajectory analysis of educational policies or programs, and argue that this approach is a useful analytical framework that allows a critical and contextualized analysis of programs and educational policies from their formulation to their implementation.
Abstract: This paper discusses the contributions of the 'policy cycle approach' to analyze educational policies. Formulated by Stephen Ball and Richard Bowe, such approach has been applied in different contexts as a theoretical and analytical framework to examine educational policies. This paper presents the main ideas of this approach, the debate surrounding it, and its contribution to the analysis of educational policies. Based on the five contexts of the policy cycle, namely: influence, text production, practice, outcomes and the political strategy; this paper also presents a set of questions to the trajectory analysis of educational policies or programs. It argues that this approach is a useful analytical framework that allows a critical and contextualized analysis of programs and educational policies from their formulation to their implementation in the context of practice as well as the policy effects.

TL;DR: In this paper, the present work conditions of teachers in the Brazilian public school system are discussed based on results from empirical research and on a biblio-graph review that demonstrates a context of restructuration of the pedagogical work.
Abstract: Based on results from empirical research and on a biblio- graphic review that demonstrates a context of restructuration of the pedagogical work, this paper discusses the present work conditions of teachers in the Brazilian public school system. It assumes that the very clear productive restructuration that has been occurring these last two decades brought has questioned the objectives of school education

TL;DR: This paper argued that different kinds of lit- eracy have resulted from different modalities of written communi- cation, and that literacy is not a single, homogeneous phenomenon.
Abstract: In the context of two different cultures - print cul- ture and electronic culture, or cyberculture -, this article seeks a clearer comprehension of literacy opposing typographic and digi- tal technologies of reading and writing. Through the differences regarding the writing space and the mechanisms of producing, re- producing and diffusing ideas, it argues that different kinds of lit- eracy - that is, different social, cognitive and discursive effects - have resulted from such different modalities of written communi- cation. Since literacy is not a single, homogeneous phenomenon, it finally suggests this word should be used in its plural rather than singular form: literacies.
