TL;DR: In this article, the future direction of power grid is defined by its successful performance, characteristics, key technologies and business functions and the relations between them, and illustrated the four components in detaile, and provided a whole picture of future smart grid.
Abstract: Because of the more complicated operation environment, which power system are confronting, and the continuous evolvement of power deregulation, the traditional power grids need to be enhanced again. With the development of materials, electronics, information and power technologies, a smart grid could then be constructed based on them. As the future direction of power grid, it can be clearly defined by its successful performance, characteristics, key technologies and business functions and the relations between them. The four components correspond to the future expected benefits, required special capability and related technologies support, the combination of technologies and businesses respectively. It was illustrated the four components in detaile, and provided a whole picture of future smart grid.

TL;DR: In this paper, a large-scale photovoltaic power generation system output model that has the total power of 30MW and analyzed the PV system output characteristics and the factors that impact the photiovoltaic output was established, and obtained the output based on the meteorological data of Baoding region and the radiation data provided by the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) for Baoding Region.
Abstract: This paper established a large-scale photovoltaic power generation system output model that has the total power of 30MW, and analyzed the PV system output characteristics and the factors that impact the photovoltaic output, and obtained the PV system output based on the meteorological data of Baoding region and the radiation data provided by the National Aeronautics and Space Agency(NASA) for Baoding region The complexity and non-linearity of the impact of factors contributed to the PV system decide the non-linear relationship between the forecast factors and the forecast object This paper established a photovoltaic system output forecast model based on the SVM regression method, the practical examples show that the SVM can provide an effective and feasible way to forecast PV system output

TL;DR: Based on several typical severe ice accidents occurring in China, Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper summarized and analyzed the characteristics and reasons for severe ice accident, and proposed the de-icing measures for preventing transmission lines from severe icing accidents.
Abstract: Ice deposits on transmission lines are of great danger to the security of service of electrical power system.Based on several typical severe ice accidents occurring in China, this paper summarized and analyzed the characteristics and reasons for severe ice accidents. The results show that the ice accidents occurring in China have such characteristics as long duration, high frequency of occurrences, large coverage area and great loss to national economy, etc.Drastic decrease of mechanical property and electric property as a result of severe icing is the main reason for ice accidents.Besides, the de-icing measures for preventing transmission lines from severe ice accidents are summarized.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed the limit factors of peak regulation, specially the character of wind power interconnected with grid, and a formula was deducted to calculate maximum wind power penetration of grid.
Abstract: The peak regulation capacity of grid is the primary limit to the wind power penetration level. In order to get a direct recognition to maximum wind power penetration, the limit factors of peak regulation, specially the character of wind power interconnected with grid, were analyzed and a formula was deducted to calculate maximum wind power penetration of grid. After applying the formula in calculating the maximum wind power penetration of a typical grid and analyzing the influence of several factors, the conclusion is that the maximum wind power penetration is affected by multi-factors and the maximum wind power penetration really varies with the economic expense, character of wind power cannot be neglected in calculating of maximum wind power penetration.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors used the Bass model to predict the inventory of electric vehicles in China under the condition of the baseline oil price and high oil price in 2020, and the results indicate that the electric vehicles will witness a rapid development in the next 10 years and the high oil prices can promote the spread of new products to some extent.
Abstract: Predicting the inventory of electric vehicles accurately for future 10 years in China is significant for adjusting relevant established industrial policies, achieving the orderly development of electric vehicles, and guiding the layout of the upstream and downstream industries reasonably. After a comprehensive analysis of the plan for electric vehicles in future 10 years, the Bass model, which has an advantage in taking full account of the internal and external factors in predicting the spread of new products,is used to predict the inventory of electric vehicles in China under the condition of the baseline oil price and high oil price in 2020.The results indicate that the electric vehicles will witness a rapid development in the next 10 years and the high oil price can promote the spread of electric vehicles to some extent.
