Abstract: Character education is a growing discipline with the deliberate attempt to optimize students’ ethical behav- ior. The outcome of character education has always been encouraging, solidly, and continually preparing the leaders of tomorrow. The promotion of character education should not just a leap service but has an action plan for practice. In order words, education policy should take the lead to actualize moral education. Taken together, parents, teachers, and administrators as stakeholders, should join this camp to encourage students to manifest those good values in their lives. The outline of this paper is that first the definition of character education is provided. Then, the historical perspective of character education is reviewed. Third, the issue of context in character education is disclosed. The challenge and controversy of implementation of character education is also presented. Finally, the implication and further research are discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, two learning models are compared: Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) models for improving students' thinking skills.
Abstract: The development of the revolution era 4.0 which increasingly rapidly demands the wider community to have the ability to think creatively mathematically. One effort to improve the ability to think creatively is through quality education. Quality education can be improved through to train thinking using the right learning model. This study aims to see which results are more effective in improving students' thinking skills between the two learning models applied. The two models are Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) models. This research method uses quasi experimental method with a posttest only control test design not control group. This study uses two group subjects with two experimental classes. The analysis of the data used the hypothesis testing of the non-correlated 2-sample t-test. Based on the research results obtained Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) models have a better effect on students' creative thinking abilities compared to Problem Based Learning (PBL) models.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the effectiveness of STEM on the physics concepts understanding seen from gender differences using a type of quasi-experimental design with 2x2 factorial design and saturated sampling technique.
Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of STEM on the physics concepts understanding seen from gender differences. The research method used is a type of quasi-experimental design with 2x2 factorial design and saturated sampling technique. The data collecting technique used a tested method to see the results of students’ concept understanding. Hypothesis testing was done using two-way ANOVA 2 x 2 factorial designs. The results of the study are: (1) there are differences in STEM and conventional learning on concepts understanding and the use of STEM learning is more effective than the conventional one; (2) there are differences in the results of understanding the concept between male and female students where male students are higher than female students; and, (3) there is no interaction between learning and gender towards concepts understanding. The research recommends designing the STEM-integrated ESciT learning to be relevant with the indicator measurements and to manage the learning effectively to obtain optimum learning outcome.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provided an extensive bibliometric literature review on low carbon education, using the Google Scholar database and a reference manager software namely Zotero, to classify and visualize the database using VOSviewer.
Abstract: The concept of low carbon education is one solution to provide knowledge to students related to low carbon behavior. The purpose of this paper is providing an extensive bibliometric literature review on 'low carbon education'. Articles found by Publishing or Perish (PoP) software with the Google Scholar database. There were 55 out of 97 articles found from Google Scholar data base ranging from 2014 to 2019 analyzed in this study. The chosen references were then managed using a referencing manager software namely Zotero. After managing the database, this study classified and visualized it using VOSviewer software. Overall, this review provides an appropriate reference point for further research on 'low carbon education'.

TL;DR: E-Modules developed in this study are highly recommended for use by Lecturers, students, and Teachers in the major of Early Childhood Education and are stated in the valid category based on the results of the validation of the e-module material and the e -module design which obtains excellent criteria.
Abstract: This study aims to produce e-modules based on valid and appropriate local wisdom in the Central Learning Model at kindergartens in Jambi. The product of this research is realized in the form of an electronic module using 3D Pageflip Professional software to determine the feasibility of e-modules as well as knowing the teacher's response to e-modules based on local wisdom in Central Learning Model at kindergartens in Jambi city. The type of this research is developing research that refers to the ADDIE model. After the e-learning module was created, the e-learning module was validated by the expert. Validation was carried out by two material experts and an e-learning module expert until the e-learning module is declared feasible. After the e-learning module has been validated and revised, a trial was then conducted by the respondent to see the perception results. The developed e-modules are stated in the valid category based on the results of the validation of the e-module material and the e-module design which obtains excellent criteria. The results of the questionnaire perception of 62 respondents (lecturers, teachers and students) on emodules showed an average rate of 83% which is included in the excellent category. These results indicate that the e-module developed in this study is very feasible to use. E-Modules developed in this study are highly recommended for use by Lecturers, Students, and Teachers in the major of Early Childhood Education. Keywords: Development of e-modules, central learning model, local wisdom.
