Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Five of the major GMP regulations for herbal products adopted in different countries and regions are studied to determine the differences in terms of principles, contents, supervision, and industrial influence.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: The results indicated that the relative high beta (RHB) activity increased significantly in the right temporal region and the EEG activity of isomers on human brain is highly related to the structural arrangement of individual compounds and gender difference.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: The current study showed significantly better outcomes for the leek group compared to the standard antihemorrhoid and placebo groups for bleeding severity and overall subjective improvement, however, there was no difference among topical use of leek, routine antihem orrhoids and placebo creams symptomatic relief of pain, defecation discomfort and itching.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: The present results suggest that yoga may be an effective treatment for CLBP and stress although the results should be confirmed with a large-scale randomized controlled trial.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Practicalising post-operative exercises does improve arm and shoulder morbidity following breast cancer surgery and the addition of a self-practise general yoga programme was well received and appeared to improve QoL at 6 months.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Immediate challenges are how to improve multidisciplinary management, research, professional training, address legal/policy issues and a scientific approach to the extents and limitations of TN-CAM both in conventional health care and in the society as a whole.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: These two new tools, CCCS and SEND, have good psychometric properties and may be useful to educators and researchers evaluating clinicians’ confidence in providing calm, compassionate care and self-efficacy in using non-drug therapies to relieve common symptoms.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Overall, findings on the effectiveness of acupuncture for cnLBP were consistent and future trials are needed to establish the standardization of acupuncture in terms of the length of treatment sessions, frequency of sessions, number of needles needed per treatment, placement of needle insertion, depth of needle inserted, and whether needle stimulation achieves De Qi.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: PDM effectively normalized dyslipidemia associated with streptozotocin-induced diabetes, and possessed significant antihyperglycemic, antihyperlipidemic and antioxidant potential which may prove beneficial in the treatment of diabetes and associated complications.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Most of the participants that have used herbal medicines were sufficiently aware of herbal medicine and had a general positive attitude toward their usage, according to the results of this study.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Clinical research in TTM in China shows that TTM might have potential benefit for the management of many diseases and more efforts should be made to improve the quality of RCTs in China and support TTM's further clinical applications.
