Abstract: The objective of this research was to describe the epidemiological characteristics of suicide in the regions of SDRs in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, during the year of 2009. Investigating the relationship of the HDI, the host cities of SDRs, the suicide rate and public policies aimed at suicide prevention. Data were collected using the Datasus, Mortality Information System (MIS) - External Causes. The results showed that more men commit suicide, the age group with the highest number of suicide deaths comprise 40 to 50 years, the hanging appeared as the most widely used method in both sexes and more married people commit the act of suicide.

Abstract: The Cloze Oriented System (COS) is a procedure that adequate texts due to their level of difficulty in order to evaluate the reading comprehension. This study evaluate the reading comprehension of middle school students. There were 331 students from the 6th to the 9th grade, 51,7% of them female. Three texts, in which the COS was applied, were used with different omission criteria. The students answered the instruments collectively, in two sessions. The results showed significant differences due to gender and grade, the girls and the higher grade students had the best performance. There were found correlation of moderate magnitude and highly significant between the tests, showed a direct relation between the different types of test.

Abstract: When we talk about building objects in any specialty called scientific, we usually to rule out certain elements of our experience which are considered too uncertain to be part of the constitution of the field of research and/or intervention: sensations, emotions, unique experiences, nebulae possibilities, tensions incoherent, etc. However, all this virtual cloud of deceit is fundamental part of our worldly articulation, giving concreteness to our encounters with the world. How to speak of these elements in our research? This article aims to discuss the possibilities of a onto-epistemological hybridizing politics of the knowledge strategies from Arts and Social Psychology.

Abstract: This study aims to present and discuss the process of producing a socio-clinical research on parenting, developed in Gennevilliers, France during 2011 and 2012. The theoretical framework was based on institutional analysis, socio-clinical perspective. The devices for the production of research data include participant observation, discussion groups with professionals and parents, household interview, informal interviews and restitution sessions. The development of this kind of research indicates a constant tension to be explored between the intentionality of claimants and researchers which makes the analysis of implication indispensable.

Abstract: This article aims to share analysis on the ways of life of the homeless. The research encompassed three stages: the first aimed to get closer from the groups of homeless people to map the policies that cross the life in the streets; the second aimed to map the groups on the streets, highlighting the urban landscapes in which this population makes social relations; a third time we talked in more detail with some homeless people about the tactics and gimmicks that they weave in their daily life. Research has shown that the homeless population reinvents spaces and objects in their daily life on the streets, dodging bans and limits, re-signifying objects, places and uses, as well as producing various designs in the urban tissue. The survey also highlighted the practices of intolerance and violence against the homeless population, as well as the violation of their social and political rights.

Abstract: O presente estudo objetiva discutir os aspectos contextuais que condicionam e possibilitam a pratica profissional do psicologo no campo da Assistencia Social, utilizando como recorte a fala dos psicologos que atuam nos Centros de Referencia Especializados de Assistencia Social (CREAS) do estado do Rio Grande do Norte (RN). Coloca-se em debate a atuacao do psicologo nesses espacos, pensando a sua contribuicao na consolidacao da politica publica em questao. A analise dos dados demonstra a necessidade da construcao de uma identidade do psicologo como trabalhador social, apontando para a importância de mudancas no corpo conceitual e tecnico da Psicologia.

Abstract: This research analyzes how public school students identify and evaluate experiences of violence in a domestic environment and within their communities. This is a snip of a larger research on risk and protective factors in youth populations. Of the 1.140 participants, 529 were students from both genders with ages between 14 and 24. The results revealed that punching and spanking occurred more frequently in the familiar environment, whereas threatening and humiliation within the community. It was applied a survey with 77 questions concerning those experiences in everyday situations. As for the negative perceptions on the types of abuse regarding the environment where they occurred, the study indicates that undergoing domestic violence had a stronger impact. The results on self-esteem and self-efficacy revealed protective aspects of personal nature. The perception of violence as a risk factor should be understood based on the context of the subject’s role and their life story.

Abstract: The children and youth sexual abuse is configured as a global problem, and marked by numerous historical determinations, although their effective coping became a public policy concern only in last decades. This article, qualitative, conducted from literature, discusses the main perspectives of psychologists against this violence, outlining the main aspects that govern the exercise of professional who is housed at the Center for Social Assistance Specialized Reference (CREAS). The results show that it is a complex demands, often contradictory, which requires interdisciplinary, intersectoral action, family-centered, free of taboos, prejudgementes and stereotypes.

Abstract: Brazilian Public Policies seek to reduce the severity of motorcycle messengers work accidents, prioritizing individual dimensions of piloting. Their results are limited by not satisfactorily consider collective dimensions of work and its effects on profession. Moreover, there is lack of research in this field. Cooperating to movement of understand↔transform, was aimed to verify how professional collective has been developing within motorcycle messengers’ professional milieu. Guided by Ergology, in the research were mobilized clinical approaches of work: Psychodynamic of Work and Clinic of Activity. Was observed the existence of professional collective in formation, verified by practical knowledge, defensive systems, professional languages, values and rules of craft, which began to be produced and shared among workers. However, was found that individualism and low solidarity among peers undermine the work’s collective in formation, reducing its ability to respond to degrading working conditions. It is understood inevitable its strengthening to pursue safer professional practice.

Abstract: We discuss in this article relevant issues in modern society, from the perspective of Bauman and Giddens, with a cutout for the issue of drugs. Reflected in the Projeto Consultorio de Rua as a product of health policies with social practice inclusive of the homeless population in Brazil. It examines the categories, capital and habitus, as transversal themes in professional practice Projeto Consultorio de Rua, through the theoretical Pierre Bourdieu. In consequence, the goal is to contribute to this discussion from the different practices of professionals in health, regarding the use and abuse of psychoactive substances.

Abstract: Based on the Michel Foucault’s studies about the ascesis as an ethical exercise and the paraskeue as an instrument of this exercise, the possible relations of these theoretical elements with the methodological strategies proposed by the research’s intervention and the photographic intervention were traced. The theoretical thinking of this study suggests that these strategies are possibility conditions for the research’s process be constituted as an ethical exercise. The theoretical references are based on the book “The Hermeneutics of the Subject” by Michel Foucault and articles about the intervention research and photographic intervention, designating this methodology as an “instrument” of the research’s ascesis.

Abstract: This article discuss some vectors constituents of a genealogy of drugs like a politic problem articulating the concepts of biopolitics and governamentality. Articulate these two concepts with the contributions of research on the history of drugs in the West. From these crosses delimit some points that mark the process of incorporation of drugs as an object of political and state mainly. In this genealogy of drugs biopolitics we explore apparent contradictions about life and death. From the sexuality and racism theme can monitor changes and strategic functions that repressive policies on drug fulfilled throughout the twentieth century. Thus we draw a diagram that emerges with the birth of Christianity and is consolidated with the liberal art of government.

Abstract: O presente trabalho busca propor conceitos fundamentados no pensamento complexo para as dicotomias classicas de corpo-mente e individuo-social. Partindo de uma breve ilustracao clinica, destaca-se como os processos subjetivos sao encarnados na vivencia corporal das pessoas, por meio da nocao de subjetividade, e como existe uma flexibilizacao maior entre individual e social por meio da nocao de sujeito. Conclui-se que, para que essa nocao complexa e dialetica seja implementada, nao e suficiente que se proponha um novo conceito, mas um conjunto de conceitos que, irmanados dentro de uma logica complexa, proporcionem uma nova forma de pensar a clinica.

Abstract: This paper presents a research on the professor’s work at Universidade Federal Fluminense, in the context of higher education expansion. The methodological procedures adopted were the following: bibliographic and documentary research, application of questionnaires and conduction of 28 interviews with professors of different areas, campi and poles. The discussion focuses exclusively on the results of the analysis of interviews. In those carried out with “gestors” and “trade unionists”, polarized political positions about the educational policies, the process of expansion and interiorization and the underlying corporate projects were detected. In those carried out under the life history methodology, it was verified that life projects are mediated by work trajectories, involving the dimensions of ethics, affectivity and politics, as well as the biographic and institutional intertwining. In the face of work and university practices, limits were observed in the creative and particular forms of dealing with adversities, illness and mechanisms of refraction that did not result in evident illness, but involved strong conflicts and even subjective splits.

Abstract: The main objective of this study was to measure attitudes of university students in relation to health and body aesthetic. The theoretical basis was the Theory of Social Representations, in its dimensional approach. We built the Health and Beauty Attitude Scale – HBAS (construction and validation). 500 university students of Physical Education, Medicine, Nutrition, Fashion of Santa Catarina participated. These students have a slightly positive attitude towards health and body aesthetics. It is concluded that scale is a valid instrument, and may be useful as a complementary tool in evaluation of patients with body dysmorphic disorder and obesity.

Abstract: The proposal of this study is to think about another way of thinking the compulsions beyond that which interprets this phenomenon as something on the order of subjectivity. This other way is to follow at a new path that here called phenomenological-hermeneutics. It to begin the templates previously legitimized in the field of psychology. We will review the compulsions and its disorders, inspired by the methodological assumptions of hermeneutics phenomenology of Heidegger. Your idea is that human existence is building in conjunction with the world, thus, an interpretation of the compulsions outside the contours of historical horizon of the technique.

Abstract: A proposta deste artigo e tensionar, em fotografias produzidas por criancas com deficiencia visual, o que se ve e o que se deixa de ver, as visibilidades e invisibilidades objetivadas nas fotos. Sendo as fotografias concebidas como producao discursiva e dialogica, a leitura das mesmas possibilita problematizar a relacao que elas estabelecem com a realidade em que vivem. Como procedimentos metodologicos foram eleitos a producao de fotografias e o desenvolvimento de uma oficina estetica. Para a analise estabelecemos uma confrontacao das fotos no plano da significacao, com base na analise dialogica do discurso, a partir da concepcao do Circulo de Bakhtin (2010a). Os sentidos enfocados trazem a luz a realidade das criancas, independentemente de serem criancas com deficiencia visual. Este aspecto foi muito significativo: os modos de (vi)ver o mundo expressos nas imagens sao antes de tudo olhares de meninas e meninos.

Abstract: A teoria do apego tem como premissas que o apego da pessoa esta relacionado a qualidade das suas relacoes amorosas e que tende a ser reativado em situacoes estressantes. Baseado nisso, esse estudo investigou as relacoes entre apego individual e apego compartilhado pelos conjuges, em tres casais, cujo filho apresenta o Transtorno do Espectro do Autismo -TEA. O apego individual foi avaliado atraves do Attachment Script Assessment e o apego compartilhado, atraves de uma entrevista semiestruturada. Os principais resultados revelaram que em casais, nos quais um (ou ambos) dos conjuges, apresentaram acesso ao script de apego individual seguro, a relacao como parceiros, principalmente no aspecto parental, estava preservada, o que nao ocorreu quando os conjuges nao apresentaram estes indicadores.

Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the pro-social and pro-environmental approaches of the moral development in Psychology. Therefore, a literature review (2005-2010) from studies found in a worldwide referenced database (PsycINFO) was performed. The pro-social approach discussed the moral development in almost the whole human life cycle, analyzing acquisition of virtues and moral judgments. In contrast, the pro-environmental approach focused on adult age, searching for relations between psychosocial variables and the occurrence of a desired behavior. Both approaches are similar in considering altruistic motivations for moral behavior. It was discussed how the pro-environmental approach would benefit from the investigative view of the pro-social approach.

Abstract: The main goal of this article is to analyze how to construct the subjectivity of the teacher from initial series. For it we get the role of reason and sensibility in the construction of subjective subject, from Henri Wallon on building human feelings and emotions we consider how to construct the subjectivity of teacher from their narratives. Among the results, we observed that the subjectivity of the teacher is intertwined with other aspects of the social groups to which they belong, as being a mother and wife. This aspects of their ways of being are the language and affectivity, mostly.

Abstract: The aim was to analyze the possible condition of fear experienced regarding to solidarity and to resistance. The collectiveness history of meat plants workers from the Western region of Santa Catarina State was reviewed emphasizing the 90´s flexible management style, and their fight process for legitimate labor union representativeness, integrating the public sector and social movements. Bibliographical and documental research was carried out along with participative research, on behalf of the authors experience on activities promoted by this labor union. The analysis resulted, on one hand, on the understanding that the struggle of the meat plant workers of Chapeco region / SC was mainly for controlling of the work process, i.e., the normalization of the working hours, the shifts, breaks and room temperature. And on the other hand, this research showed that the word fear repeatedly, expresses a certain relation with their future death possibilities, indicating the need of further investigations comprising psychopathology.

Abstract: The article aims to analyze some relations between literary creation, living labor and processes of subjectivity. Living labor is characterized as a creation process that involves the power to feel, think and invent. The literary creation is analyzed as a critical reference of alienated forms of institutions to live. We propose the concepts of dead labor, alienated subjectivity, lively and poetic ethics of subjectivity. Based on these propositions, we seek to examine the poetic of subjectivity as an action that produces and is produced by living labor, and also its ethical-political resonances in the process of building the politically qualified forms of living.

Abstract: This article examines wayfinding behavior in an extended parking lot belonging to one of the largest shopping malls in Santiago, Chile. About 500 people were followed while going to the mall and returning from it, and their trajectories were mapped and analyzed. The results indicate that inbound paths were, in average, 10% shorter that outbound paths, and that people stopped three times more frequently when leaving the mall than when accessing it. It is argued that these results are in line with previous research on the subject, which stress the importance of environmental information in shaping people`s behavior.

Abstract: Based on the semiotic and systemic perspectives and on the dialogical self approach, this paper analyzes the self configuration, through the developmental trajectories of young people living in social vulnerability conditions. The self is understood through narrative construction, as forms of negotiating interpersonal and intrapersonal meanings, dialogically, over time and space. Three narrative interviews with young people in different contexts of Salvador-Bahia, (NGO, Capoeira group and Socioeducative centre for adolescents in law conflict) were analyzed. The mobility of the network of meanings, configured through meetings with significant others provide re-signification of critical experience and the emergence of psychological novelty. The conclusions highlight the possibility of negotiating I-positions through the experience of narrating life trajectories, reconfiguring the self in a dialogical way and strengthening future expectations.

Abstract: Este artigo promove um debate sobre as lutas sociais e politicas a partir das pesquisas de Michel Foucault, em uma historia do presente, apontando contribuicoes das analises de arquivos e de ferramentas que nos inquietam pela forca do questionamento que produzem e tambem pela atitude critica e politica que possibilitam, bem como a postura etica que movem nos trabalhos em psicologia social, no Brasil. O legado de Foucault e vasto pela potencia de seus escritos e rupturas provocadas em diferentes areas entre pesquisadores e militantes, em muitos paises, o que diz de suas ressonâncias e da importância de escrever a respeito.

Abstract: This paper is part of a research-intervention project concerning the music and its articulations with identities, carried out in musical corporations from the region of Campos das Vertentes, specially Sao Joao del-Rei and near-by towns. In this region, the music has a significant role on the formation of citizens’ cultural identity and on the municipality history. This research cut presents an investigation about gender determinations, aiming to know how is the women musicians’ participation in bands and orchestras from the region. For that, it was employed the archeological discourse analysis to compare the women musicians’ speeches with men’s from the same corporations and also with masculine voices about woman in philosophy and utopias. It was observed that traditional gender differences are preserved covered in the daily life of the musical corporations. However, it was also observed that the women musicians begin to be recognized in the corporations and, above all, recognize themselves as able to take off.

Abstract: This research agrees to Freud’s concept: contextualizing the man in its surrounding social order and to analyze human relations that are established in the configuration of social bond. This article has the main objective to think about a different metapsychological articulation to help us to understand the relation of contemporary arrangements created to deal with the feeling of abandonment and its results within the desire condition. Therefore, we think about tensions between all three instances of the psychic apparatus: id, ego and superego. Analyzing relationships that structure the social bond, we can rethink psychoanalytic propositions, such as alterity, desire, pulsing and their vicissitudes.

Abstract: In the Freudian postulate, love and hate are the noted features of the mother-daughter relationship due to the destination of the phallus in women. Lacan proposes that women are not-all subject to the phallic logics and that it is at this point where devastation finds its path to develop. Owing to the fact that girls expect to get from their motherly figures more than they can provide them with – that is, a feminine identification – demand and resentment might set up. Therefore, I propose to discuss how both aspects of the women’s inscription – the phallic and the not-all phallic - contribute to devastation, also as I take a case to study aiming to articulate theory and practice.

Abstract: Apresento o conceito de ficcao como um recurso metodologico para as ciencias, partindo da proposta genealogica de Michel Foucault que compreende a ficcao como uma potencia de desestabilizacao dos regimes de saber/poder, assim como de interpelacao dos regimes de sensibilidade com que o presente e percebido. Nesse sentido, o termo ficcao constitui uma alternativa etico-politica ao conceito de utopia, uma vez que este faz funcionar estrategias macropoliticas e universalizantes, ao passo que a ficcao oferece uma alternativa micropolitica para a problematizacao da realidade atual para alem da configuracao historica com que ela se apresenta.

Abstract: We studied the way pressure inflicted by more or less powerful/recognized people in society is negotiated by ethnically identified participants. We considered these phenomena drawing on social influence theories or social action rhetoric. We worked with simulated pressure situations in order to recreate possible experiences of interaction. 207 public high school students identified with Black, White and Mixed people took part in this research. The results showed rhetoric/action of rejection, acceptation and non decision to pressures. The rhetoric/action anticipated were those of cordiality, own interest, hostility and other’s interest. Whites tended to accept more the pressure of powerful people; and Blacks, to a lesser extent, to reject it. Regarding minority people, we found that all groups accepted their pressure, pointing out there is less controversy. We discussed the results within the frame of intergroup relations in the dynamics in society.
