Abstract: Investigations show that rich wild ginkgo germplasm resources still remain in Wuchuan County of Guizhou Province.The discovery of a typical wild ginkgo forest community in Zhangjia Mountain of Fengle Town,as a sample plot,reliablely verified the congcontroversial hypothesis that there are wild ginkgo in China.In Liaojia Village of Huangyang Ping,a relic community of wild ginkgo with primarily male trees shows for the first time the specialty of the sex ratio and horizontal distribution of ginkgo;the widespread existence wild Ginkgo biloba around the Wuchuan County,particularly in the site of Shierpan,demonstrates that this species thrived in this area.Currently these trees are in the course of typical regressive sucdession going from large habitat to small habitat and heading toward extinction as represented by the relic communities,groups,groves and solitary ginkgo trees in various stages if decline.The morphologic and evolutionary features of the extant gingko vommunities in the county,it is odvious that Wuchuan is the native place and present reservation of wild ginkgo in China.This discovery is important for ginkgo evolutionary and conservation research.

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the basic fauna and geographical distribution of blackflies in Jiangxi Province.Methods: Immature stages of blackflies were collected from seven different representative areas of Jiangxi Province with conventional methods,and were reared in the lab to produce adults.After the identification of the slide and needle-fixed specimens,a list of blackfly species in Jiangxi and a discussion were given.Result: 24 species including 3 new ones of blackflies that are all from Jiangxi of China were reported.Conclusion: There is a rich diversity of blackflies in Jiangxi Province and it is showed that there is a fauna character of oriental realm.

Abstract: Guizhou karst mountain region is serious soil and water loss and rocky desertification area in China.The larger soil and water loss acreage is over 40%.Because of special natural environment such as geology,geomorphy,(limate) and vegetation,and gross popalation,Guizhou's soil and water loss becomes more and more serious.The soil erosion and rocky desertification have become the prominent problems.Since 1980,many Guizhou's science and technology workers have strived various soil and water conservation measures,which has gotten to rather a partial improvement than a overall one.Summarizing a lot of predecessor's works,and comprehensively considering the characteristics of soil and water loss and its influencing factors,this paper properly proposed a economical,effective and resonable prevent and administer measure suitable to Guizhou′s kast region.

Abstract: This paper studies the enrichment degree of metals in atmospheric aerosols of Guiyang City.It chooses Al,Fe,Mn as comparable elements,with enrichment factors judge the natural and man-made sources;the particle concentration distribution of atmospheric aerosols in Guiyang City proper is bimodal with one peak at 1.0μu(accumulative particles) and another peak at 6.0μm(coarse particles) in diameter less than 10μm.Morover,it takes on the trend that the peak value of big particle diameter is less than that of the small particle diameter.

Abstract: Based on the analysis and study on the physical properties of karst soil in Guizhou Wujiang river basin in different type of vegetation and different degree of erosion.It is thought that the degree of erosion is the main factor influencing the soil physical properties.Under the condition of unstrong erosion,the soil development of different types of vegetation is good,its layer is deep,and the organic content of the top layer is relatively high;the soil relies mainly on glueing loam and clay;its porosity is suitable,and structural property is good,which can play the role of conserving water and soil effectively;but has already been threatened by soil erosion and sandifity.However,under the situation of strong erosion,its various kinds of physical properties are very poor.Therefore,measures must be taken to improve the soil physical properties further.

Abstract: A phytoplankton survey was conducted in different periods from September 2003 to May 2004 in Shatuo Reservior of Wujiang River of Guizhou Province in China.117 species of phytoplankton were identified from the total 6 sorts of water samples.They belong to 53 genera,27 families,17 orders,10 classes and 8 divisions.Bacillariophyta was the most diversified division,while Cyanophyta was the abundant one.Resoults based on phytoplankton structure and three diversity indices revealed that Shatuo Reservior belonged to mesotrophic.

Abstract: LI-6400 photosynthesis measure system was used to measure the responses of Pn,Tr,Gs and WUE of Myrica nana and M.rubra to short-term elevated CO_(2),and the Rday、CCP、Amax、Vcmax and Jmax were calculated by photosynthesis assistant software according to Pn-CO_(2) curve.Results were summarized as follow: the Pn and WUE increased with the increase of CO_(2) concentrations,while Gs and Tr decreased with the increase of CO_(2) concentrations.There was an extremely significant correlation between Gs and Tr.Rday,CCP and Amax were no significant difference between M.nana and M.rubra,while M.nana was bigger than M.rubra in Vcmax and Jmax.The study showed that short-term increase of CO_(2) concentrations was of great advantage to strengthen the capacity of humidity guarantee,drought resistance and photosynthesis. Both M.nana and M.rubra showed positive responses to the short-term increase of CO_(2) concentrations,but the extent of response was different,M.nana was beyond M.rubra in the mass.
