Abstract: Two species of the corticioid wood-decaying fungi: Hypochnicium caucasicum Parmasto and Jacksonomyces furfurellus (Bres.) Sheng H. Wu Z.C. Chen were collected from Hunan Province and Guangxi Autonomous Region respectively. Hypochnicium caucasicum is new to China, and Jacksonomyces furfurellus is newly recorded in Mainland China. The illustrated descriptions of them are given based on the Chinese collections.

Abstract: Grammothele lineata is newly reported from tropical China. It is characterized by resupinate basidiocarps, irregular to split pores, dextrinoid skeletal hyphae, and plenty of hyphal pegs in the tube walls and dissepiments. An illustrated description of the fungus is given based on the Chinese collections. Grammothele lineata is closely to G. fuligo, but the latter has smaller pores (8~16 per mm), larger basidiospores (7~9 × 2.5~3.5 μm), and growth on the substrate of monocotyledons.

Abstract: On the basis of a large amount of specimens,observation of field population and literatures,the taxonomic history of Epimedium is reviewed.The important classified character and evolution of small-flowered taxa of Epimedium are analyzed and a new system of classification for small-flowered taxa of Epimedium is proposed.The results show that 20 species of small-flowered taxa of Epimedium in China can be divided into 4 sections according to the character and evolutionary trend of flowers :1.Sect.Campanulatae,2.Sect.Gibbae,3.Sect.Sacciferae,4.Sect.Calcar.

Abstract: Known species and their names of genus Marasmius(Basidiomycota) from China are arranged, amended and briefly discussed in this paper. Up to now 141 names have been reported. They are distributed in 29 provinces and regions of China. Among them, 96 species,6 varieties and 1 forma are recognized , 29 are invalid, 9 are misspelled , 15 are suspicious, and 9 are endemic to China.

Abstract: A corticioid fungus, Thelephora caryophyllea (Schaeff.) Pers. is newly recorded from China, and it was found on sandy ground in angiosperm forest of Changbaishan Nature Reserve, Jilin Province, northeastern China. The illustrated description of the species is given in this paper. The relationships between it and its closely related species are discussed.

Abstract: Based on field and laboratory work,281 taxa(including subspecies and varieties) in 110 genera of 42 families have been found in Xiangzhigou karst area.Among them,44 species and subspecies in 22 genera of 15 families belong to Hepaticae,236 species and subspecies in 87 genera of 26 families belong to Musci,and 1 species in Anthocerotae.According to the investigation of bryophytes,there are 7 dominant families(over 10 species) and 11 dominant genera(over 5 species).The phytogeographical pattern can be classified into 12 types.

Abstract: Funalia gallica (Fr.) Bondartsev Singer has been reported from China previously, the voucher specimens of the species in the previous reports were examined, and they are in fact Funalia trogii (Berk.) Bondartsev Singer. Two specimens were collected from Hainan Province during summer of 2008, after microscopical eaximination, they turned out to be F. gallica. It should be the first record of the species in China. The illustrated description of the species is given according to our recent collections, and the relationships between it and related species are discussed.

Abstract: Calyptella capula (Holmsk.) Quel. is newly recorded from Hainan Province. The main characteristics of the species are the fruiting body consisting of a stalked, erect or pendant small cup, and its hyphae system is monomitic. Its illustrated description is given based on specimen collected on rotten palm wood from Jianfengling Nature Reserve. This is the first report of Calyptella from Hainan, China.
