Abstract: Pealius mori is one of the pests causing serious damages in mulberry plant.Distribution,host plant,occurrence and damage of this pest was summarized in this paper.Methods of integrated pest management was also discussed,including utilization of agricultural,physical,biological and chemical controls,which was useful for the integrated management of Pealius mori.

Abstract: A survey was conducted for bird resource in Tuoda Nature Reserve in 2007-2008,which found a total of 85 species of birds belonging to 12 orders and 34 families.The survey discovered that distribution of a large number Reeves's pheasant in the core area now disappeared.Lady Amherst's pheasant and Common pheasant occupied the core area.This paper had a preliminary study on the causes for of Reeves's pheasant.

Abstract: A new forma of Juglans L.from Guizhou is reported.It is named Juglans regia L.f.luodianense Liu et Xu.To J.regia L.,it differs in the following aspects:nut diameter(3 to 4 cm) is short as well as stable,there are more leaflets(7 to 13) and lateral nerves(13 to 17) in compound leaf,florescence(Mar.to Apr.) and fruit period(Sep.) are earlier.

Abstract: The characteristics and species diversity of the Cephalotaxus oliveri community in Xiuwen were studied based on community investigation. The result showed that 92 species of vascular plants in 79 genera and 52 families were found in 7 plots of 800m. The shrub layer and the herb layer are the main compositions of the community,and C. oliveri,Schefflera arboricola,Jasminum elongatum are the main dominant species in the shrub layer. The physiognomy of the community was evergreen, The species diversity of the community is relatively poor with the Gleason index of 14,the Shannon-wiener index of 0.24, the Simponindex of 7.07 and the evenness index of 1.59. The species rishness pattern of every layers of the community is shrub layerherb layertree layerliana layer, the species diversity patteyn is shrub layer tree layerherb layerliana layer, and evenness pattern is tree layerliana layershrub layerherb layer.
