TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the factors that influence the adoption of cloud ERP in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by combining the Diffusion of Innovation theory (DOI) and Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework.
Abstract: Cloud ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems have represented a paradigm shift in the information systems domain. They can provide flexibility, cost efficiency, scalability, adaptability, availability and configurable data to any type of company. This system has enjoyed rapid growth around the world. However, the adoption of cloud ERP in developing Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia is still in its infancy, and little research has been done to investigate this issue. This study examined the factors that influence the adoption of cloud ERP in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by combining the Diffusion of Innovation theory (DOI) and Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework. The study found that a competitive environment, complexity, ICT infrastructure, observability, relative advantage, regulatory environment, ICT skill and top management support had a significant influence (p < 0.05) on the adoption of cloud ERP, while compatibility, organizational culture and trialability had no signi...

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated factors that influence the adoption and use of educational technology by students of a higher education institution in developing countries, and determined that Facilitating conditions and behavioural intentions were salient factors that positively influence the actual usage of Canvas by the students.
Abstract: The aim of the study is to investigate factors that influence the adoption and use of educational technology by students of a higher education institution in developing countries. The study employed the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT). The online survey method was used to collect data from 286 students of a higher education institution in Nigeria. The maximum likelihood method based on structural equation modelling (SEM) using IBM Amos 22.0 application was used to analyse the data. The study determined that performance expectancy and effort expectancy (p 0.05). Facilitating conditions and behavioural intentions were determined to be salient factors that positively influence the actual usage of Canvas by the students. The results from the data obtained partially support the ...

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the impact of individual differences in mindfulness on nomophobia and found that mindfulness had a significant negative correlation with nomophobia for both men and women, while those who had lower scores in mindfulness showed higher anxiety when they were unable to communicate.
Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the impact of individual differences in mindfulness on nomophobia. We developed and validated two structural models to identify the relationship between mindfulness and nomophobia. The ‘Nomophobia Questionnaire’ and the ‘Mindful Attention Awareness Scale’ were used to obtain data from the subjects. One-way MANOVA results suggested a statistically significant difference in nomophobia based on higher versus lower mindfulness. Further, a multi-group analysis was conducted to test the hypothesized relationships in the structural models for men and women. The results revealed that mindfulness had a significant negative correlation with nomophobia for both men and women. As scores in mindfulness increased, subjects exhibited less nomophobic tendencies. Further, those subjects who had lower scores in mindfulness showed higher anxiety when they were unable to communicate. However, subjects who scored higher in mindfulness showed lower anxiety when they could not access desired info...

Abstract: Due to the social networking relationship, users’ continuance of social networking sites (SNS) may receive social influence from their peers and referents. This research identified the effect of social support on social influence in mobile SNS. Social support consists of both informational support and emotional support. Social influence is reflected by three factors: subjective norm, social identity and group norm. The results suggested that social support has a significant effect on social influence. The results imply that service providers need to build a supportive climate in order to facilitate social influence and users’ continuance usage.
