TL;DR: The proposed predictive analytics framework is a combination of K-means clustering and Decision Tree which is used to gain insights from patients and can be able to increase the lifespan of the diseased patient with proper treatments and medications.
Abstract: Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative movement disease where the symptoms gradually develop start with a slight tremor in one hand and a feeling of stiffness in the body and it became worse over time. It affects over 6 million people worldwide. At present there is no conclusive result for this disease by non-specialist clinicians, particularly in the early stage of the disease where identification of the symptoms are very difficult in its earlier stages. The proposed predictive analytics framework is a combination of K-means clustering and Decision Tree which is used to gain insights from patients. By using machine learning techniques, the problem can be solved with minimal error rate. Voice data sets obtained from the UCI Machine learning repository if given as the input for voice data analysis. Also our proposed system provides accurate results by integrating spiral drawing inputs of normal and Parkinson’s affected patients. From these drawings Random forest classification algorithm is used which converts these drawings into pixels for classification and the extracted values are been matched with the trained database to extract various features and results are produced with maximum accuracy. Also OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) a library of programming functions mainly aimed at real-time computer vision was built to provide an infrastructure for computer vision applications and to accelerate the use of machine perception in the real time. Thus our output will showcase the early detection of the disease and can be able to increase the lifespan of the diseased patient with proper treatments and medications leads to peaceful life.

Abstract: The study analysis of retirement benefits on socio-economic development of retirees was meant to find out the benefits of the retirement of retirees in Nyamagana District; to find out the level of socio-economic development of retirees; to find out the relationship between the retirement benefits, policies/regulations and the level of socio-economic development of retirees in Nyamagana. A survey conducted to 86 respondents was done in Nyamagana District to address the study objectives. The study's key findings include retiree’s dependent too much on their small retirement benefits (pensions) for the rest of their lives after retirement from service; The old-age benefit, disability benefit, and health benefit are significant benefits during retirement. The monthly old-age pension and lump sum are the common benefits that are used by retirees for buying food, medicine for their health, paying education for their families, building houses, buying clothes and other basic requirements. Though, retirees face a lot of problems in their lives since the benefits they get or receive do not match with the change of cost of living due to inflation. The monthly old-age pension is given on the flat rate basis without indexation of benefits due to economic changes such that they do not match with the relevant standard of living that makes the majority of the retirees live poorly. Some retirees fail even to get their basic requirements in life and become burdens to family members after retirement. The majority of them become frustrated, fall sick and even die just after their retirement. However, more classical and quantitative studies should be done about retirement benefits for good living standards of retirees. This shows, the retirement benefits, socio-economic development, policies, and regulations were proved to be closely related.

Abstract: The recent obsession of academia with SCOPUS and WOS indexed journals as proof of quality of the articles published by scholars is extremely problematic. The analysis of the work of a researcher has become more mechanical with respect to the bibliometric method used by these indexing agencies. The emphasis has shifted from quality to quantity which the exact opposite of what was intended. The fetish of the indexing agencies is forcing the universities and institutions based in the third world to pay hefty amounts of money to buy their subscriptions. The effect of this fascination is that these companies are making a lot of profits without the consequential increase in the ‘quality’ of academic articles. The researchers in this article would argue that this phenomenon is just another construct of neo-liberalism and neo-colonialism with which the third world countries are grappling. The underlying belief of ‘what is western is good’ is being reemphasized due to the fixation with SCOPUS and WOS. In fact, even the UGC has come up with a UGC CARE list wherein, journals indexed in SCOPUS and WOS are considered to be a part of its Group A list.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on the role and responsibility of the Head teacher in securing quality provision of the primary schools within a Bangladeshi context and explored the perception and practice of the practitioners in the primary education sector of Bangladesh.
Abstract: This study focused on the role and responsibility of the Head teacher in securing quality provision of the primary schools within a Bangladeshi context. Along with an investigation of quality, it is an attempt to explore the perception and practice of the practitioners in the primary education sector of Bangladesh. Bangladesh has made considerable progress in primary education sector for example greater enrolment rate; massive reduction of dropout rates; better recruitment of quality teachers; rigorous training programs for teachers; comprehensive infrastructure development; widespread IT facilities and so on, despite this the country is working hard to address issues of quality. This study has found that to ensure quality, the Primary School Head teacher plays the key role within and outside of the school. Effective planning for improving the quality provision of learning and teaching with active involvement of the wider range of community is necessary. Assistant Upazila Education Officer (AUEO) and chair of School Management Committee (SMC) also have to play vital roles in school planning and in securing better children's outcomes. It is found however that the issues surrounding accountability are less developed in improving performance. A qualitative approach has been used in this study. This includes questionnaires, semi-structured interview and focus group discussion as data collection tools. Data was collected from primary sources from 20 primary schools in an Upazila of Bangladesh. Research findings show that primary school Head needs to be more organised and systematic in whole school improvement planning; in ensuring the effective participation of the wider range of community and in improving the quality of learning-teaching practice. Also, children's continuous performance data should be maintained to compare with the local and national level achievement and for effective planning. As a result of this work a number of recommendations have been made which are cost neutral and involve a reconfiguration of current practice, training programs for Head teachers and other educational officers.

Abstract: A Mutual Fund is a trust that pools the savings of a number of investors who allocate a common financial goal. The money thus collected is then invested in capital market instruments such as shares, debentures, government and other securities. The income earned through investments and the capital appreciation realised is shared by its unit holders in proportion to the number of units owned by them. Thus a Mutual Fund is the most suitable investment for the common man as it offers an opportunity to invest in a diversified, Multidimensional professionally managed basket of securities at a relatively low cost. The large amount of money collected by mutual funds from 2004 onwards indicates that they have emerged as an important savings vehicle of investors and with their war chests of money. they also became significant institutional investors in the capital market. The accelerated growth of mutual funds highlights a need for Comparative Analysis of Mutual Fund and Traditional Investment.
