TL;DR: In this article, when a vehicle meets with an accident immediately Vibration sensor will detect the signal or if a car rolls over, and Micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) sensor will detects the signal and sends it to ARM controller.
Abstract: The Rapid growth of technology and infrastructure has made our lives easier. The advent of technology has also increased the traffic hazards and the road accidents take place frequently which causes huge loss of life and property because of the poor emergency facilities. Our project will provide an optimum solution to this draw back. An accelerometer can be used in a car alarm application so that dangerous driving can be detected. It can be used as a crash or rollover detector of the vehicle during and after a crash. With signals from an accelerometer, a severe accident can be recognized. According to this project when a vehicle meets with an accident immediately Vibration sensor will detect the signal or if a car rolls over, and Micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) sensor will detects the signal and sends it to ARM controller. Microcontroller sends the alert message through the GSM MODEM including the location to police control room or a rescue team. So the police can immediately trace the location through the GPS MODEM, after receiving the information. Then after conforming the location necessary action will be taken. If the person meets with a small accident or if there is no serious threat to anyones life, then the alert message can be terminated by the driver by a switch provided in order to avoid wasting the valuable time of the medical rescue team. This paper is useful in detecting the accident precisely by means of both vibration sensor and Micro electro Mechanical system (MEMS) or accelerometer. As there is a scope for improvement and as a future implementation we can add a wireless webcam for capturing the images which will help in providing drivers assistance.

TL;DR: GSM based secured device control system using App Inventor for Android mobile phones, a latest visual programming platform for developing mobile applications for Android-based smart phones, which aims to make programming enjoyable and accessible to novices.
Abstract: Nowadays, the remote Home Automation turns out to be more and more significant and appealing. It improves the value of our lives by automating various electrical appliances or instruments. This paper describes GSM (Global System Messaging) based secured device control system using App Inventor for Android mobile phones. App Inventor is a latest visual programming platform for developing mobile applications for Android-based smart phones. The Android Mobile Phone Platform becomes more and more popular among software developers, because of its powerful capabilities and open architecture. It is a fantastic platform for the real world interface control, as it offers an ample of resources and already incorporates a lot of sensors. No need to write programming codes to develop apps in the App Inventor, instead it provides visual design interface as the way the apps looks and use blocks of interlocking components to control the app’s behaviour. The App Inventor aims to make programming enjoyable and accessible to novices.

TL;DR: In this article, a method to analyze electrocardiogram (ECG) signal, extract the features, for the classification of heart beats according to different arrhythmia is presented.
Abstract: 3 ABSTRACT - ECG conveys information regarding the electrical function of the heart, by altering the shape of its constituent waves, namely the P, QRS, and T waves. ECG Feature Extraction plays a significant role in diagnosing most of the cardiac diseases. One cardiac cycle in an ECG signal consists of the P-QRS-T waves. This feature extraction scheme determines the amplitudes and interval in the ECG signal for subsequent analysis. The amplitude and interval of P-QRS-T segment determine the function of heart. Cardiac Arrhythmia shows a condition of abnormal electrical activity in the heart which is a threat to humans. The aim of this paper presents analyses cardiac disease in Electrocardiogram (ECG) Signals for Cardiac Arrhythmia using analysis of resulting ECG normal & abnormal wave forms. This paper presents a method to analyze electrocardiogram (ECG) signal, extract the features, for the classification of heart beats according to different arrhythmia. Cardiac arrhythmia which are found are Tachycardia, Bradycardia, Supra ventricular Tachycardia, Incomplete Bundle Branch Block, Bundle Branch Block, Ventricular Tachycardia, hence abnormalities of heart may cause sudden cardiac arrest or cause damage of heart. The early detection of arrhythmia is very important for the cardiac patients. Electrocardiogram (ECG) feature extraction system has been developed and evaluated based on the multi-resolution wavelet transform.

TL;DR: A comparative study of two intelligent control methods in order to optimize the efficiency of the solar PV system is presented and results show the fuzzy logic controller exhibits a better performance compared to Incremental conductance.
Abstract: The Solar power varies mainly depends on the weather conditions. Many new algorithms have been projected to track the maximum power point (MPPT) of the solar system. This paper, presents a comparative study of two intelligent control methods in order to optimize the efficiency of the solar PV system. This paper presents in details comparative study between Incremental conductance algorithm and fuzzy Logic controller algorithm applied to a DCDC Boost converter device. The Boost converter increases output voltage, it is depends on the duty cycle of switch device. The proposed controllers are adjusting the duty cycle of the DC-DC converter switch to track the maximum power of a solar PV array. Finally performance comparison between Incremental conductance and Fuzzy logic controller method has been carried out which has result shown the effectiveness of Fuzzy controller to draw more energy, decreases fluctuations and fast response, against change in variable weather condition. The final result show the fuzzy logic controller exhibits a better performance compared to Incremental conductance.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have discussed smart grid infrastructure issues and challenges of integrating solar PV sourced electricity in the smart grid, which is the key for reliable and efficient use of distributed energy resources.
Abstract: Smart grid technology is the key for a reliable and efficient use of distributed energy resources. The recent resurgence of interest in use of renewable energy is driven mainly by the need to reduce the high environmental effects of fossil based energy systems and diminishing fossil fuel reserves. Amongst all the renewable sources solar power takes the prominent position due to its availability in abundance. From technological point of view, solar PV has reached maturity. The challenges faced by grid operators now have less to do with core technology and more to do with integrating PV system to the grid. Recently, the concept of smart grid has been successfully applied to the electric power systems. Smart Grids can integrate solar sourced electricity such as Rooftop solar PV along with traditional power generation allowing higher flexibility to have localized and right sized power plants with reduced transmission loss, zero environmental concerns and higher efficiency. This paper discusses smart grid infrastructure issues and challenges of integrating Solar PV sourced electricity in the smart grid.
