TL;DR: This paper surveys the techniques for managing power consumption of embedded systems and provides a classification of the techniques on several important parameters to highlight their similarities and differences.
Abstract: Recent technological advances have greatly improved the performance and features of embedded systems. With the number of just mobile devices now reaching nearly equal to the population of Earth, embedded systems have truly become ubiquitous. These trends, however, have also made the task of managing their power consumption extremely challenging. In recent years, several techniques have been proposed to address this issue. In this paper, we survey the techniques for managing power consumption of embedded systems. We discuss the need of power management and provide a classification of the techniques on several important parameters to highlight their similarities and differences. This paper is intended to help the researchers and application-developers in gaining insights into the working of power management techniques and designing even more efficient high-performance embedded systems of tomorrow.

TL;DR: In this article, a web spider of intelligent information processing system is proposed to support the medical applications in terms of an agency for integration, diffusion and archiving of medical information and the electronic medical record.
Abstract: Healthcare systems have to be understood in terms of a wide variety of heterogeneous, distributed and ubiquitous systems, speaking different languages, integrating medical equipment and being customised by different entities, which in turn were set by people living in different contexts and aiming at different goals. Therefore, architecture has been envisaged to support the medical applications in terms of an agency for integration, diffusion and archiving of medical information and the electronic medical record, a form of a web spider of intelligent information processing system, its major subsystems, their functional roles and the flow of information and control among them, with adjustable autonomy. With such web-based simulated systems, quality of service will be improved (e.g., the available knowledge may be used for educational and training purposes).

TL;DR: Simulation results confirmed that using the Bees Algorithm to optimise the membership functions and the scaling gains of the fuzzy system improved the controller performance.
Abstract: This paper focuses on using the Bees Algorithm in both its basic and enhanced forms to tune the parameters of a fuzzy logic controller developed to stabilise and balance an under-actuated two-link acrobatic robot (ACROBOT) in the upright position. A linear quadratic regulator (LQR) was first developed to obtain the scaling gains needed to design the fuzzy logic controller. Simulation results confirmed that using the Bees Algorithm to optimise the membership functions and the scaling gains of the fuzzy system improved the controller performance.

TL;DR: OntoCommerce is an e-commerce system that incorporates semantic algorithms for product recommendation that uses the enriched normalised pointwise mutual information measure for semantic similarity computation and yields an average accuracy and a low false discovery rate.
Abstract: With the paradigm shift in business strategy in terms of online marketing and e-commerce and to comprehend the World Wide Web transforming into an intelligent semantic web, there arises a perpetual need for semantically driven e-commerce systems which gives preference to the users. In this paper, OntoCommerce which is an e-commerce system that incorporates semantic algorithms for product recommendation has been proposed. The proposed strategy uses the enriched normalised pointwise mutual information measure for semantic similarity computation. OntoCommerce assimilates ontologies and recommends products based on the user query, recorded user navigation as well as the user profile analysis thereby encompassing personalisation. In order to make the recommendations more relevant, OntoCommerce uses parametric fuzzification to increase the number of relevant recommendable products. OntoCommerce yields an average accuracy of 88.68 % with a low false discovery rate of 0.13 which makes it a best-in-class semantically driven product recommendation system for online e-commerce.

TL;DR: In this reporting, generalised interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy numbers ordered weighted geometric average (GITFNOWGA) operator has been fruitfully and effectively applied for deliver important weights against measures based on set the expert panel subjective preference assessment (rating) in ascending order.
Abstract: In this reporting, an aforesaid CNC machine tool evaluation appraisement module (index) has been conceptualised from the resource of existing literature to evaluation and ranking order of preferred candidate CNC machine tool. In this reporting, generalised interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy numbers ordered weighted geometric average (GITFNOWGA) operator has been fruitfully and effectively applied for deliver important weights against measures based on set the expert panel subjective preference assessment (rating) in ascending order and then aggregate appropriate rating with following generalised interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy numbers rule. Finally, multi objective optimisation by ratio analysis (MULTI-MOORA) based on different parts of MULTI-MOORA, namely: ratio system, reference point, and full multification form has been explored coupled with aggregated interval valued trapezoidal fuzzy number set in perceptive to evaluating and benchmarking the CNC machine tool from preferred options/alternatives. Finally, a case study is shown to highlight the proposed procedure.
