TL;DR: The aim of this study is to review the research work on concentration of heavy metals in drinking water sources by respective authors in their research papers and if water from these origins (region of their respective areas) are taken for drinking purposes, the physiological effects (damages) to human health have been noted.
Abstract: The levels of heavy metal contamination in various water sources as ground, surface, tap water etc. collected from various water origins (sources) of particular area in the research work (papers) of respective authors mentioned. The authors respective of their work determined the heavy metal concentration with the help of standard literature procedures. The methods in their research work were Atomic Absorption spectroscopy, Differential Pulse Anodic Stripping Voltammetry (DPASV), samples acidified to 1% with nitric acid and then stored in Double capped polyethylene bottles. The determination of the (concentration of) heavy metals found in their research work were as, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Pb, Co, Mn, Hg, Ni, Zn. The concentrations determined were more than the maximum admissible and desirable limit when compared with the National and International organizations like WHO (2008), USEPA, EUC, EPA . On account of the concentrations of heavy metals determined by the authors in their research work, the authors detected the adverse effects on human health. On account of the concentrations of the heavy metals(determined ) studied from their research papers , water samples are not suitable for drinking purposes unless it is treated with the water agencies. Thus the aim of this study is to review the research work on concentration of heavy metals in drinking water sources by respective authors in their research papers . If water from these origins (region of their respective areas) are taken for drinking purposes, the physiological effects (damages) to human health have been noted.

TL;DR: In this paper, an empirical study aimed at finding out the factors influencing use of ICT to make teaching learning effective in higher institutions of learning in Uganda and identifying the innovations that ICT has brought into teaching-learning process.
Abstract: The use of ICT in teaching-learning process is a relatively new phenomenon and it has been the educational researchers' focus. The effective integration of this technology into classroom practices poses a challenge to teachers and administrators. This empirical study aimed at finding out the factors influencing use of ICT to make teachinglearning effective in higher institutions of learning in Uganda and identifying the innovations that ICT has brought into teaching-learning process, particularly in higher institutions of learning in Uganda. A survey was employed and in order to empirically investigate the study. The findings of this study revealed that teaching staff and administrators had a strong desire to integrate ICT into teaching-learning processes. The innovations that ICT has brought in teachinglearning process include: E-learning, e-communication, quick access to information, online student registration, online advertisement, reduced burden of keeping hardcopy, networking with resourceful persons, etc. However, the presence of all these factors increased the chance of excellent integration of ICT in teaching-learning process. Therefore, the training of teaching staff in the pedagogical issues and administrators in administration should be increased if teachers and administrators are to be convinced of the value of using ICT in their teaching-learning process and administration

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of surface modification of cellulose nafibrils is presented, which is necessary in order to expand the horizon of their application towards water insoluble polymer matrices.
Abstract: Science and technology continue to choose the use of renewable raw materials and more environment friendly and sustainable resources and processes. Nanocellulose is an important addition for that movement. The development of nanocellulose has attracted significant interest in the last few decades due to their unique and potentially useful features. These novel nanocelluloses boost up the strongly expanding field of sustainable materials and nanocomposites. Surface modification of cellulose nafibrils is necessary in order to expand the horizon of their application towards water insoluble polymer matrices. This review organises the current knowledge on the surface modification of microfibrillated and nanofibrillated cellulose from plant sources. A detail of chemical and physical modification of fibril from cellulose has been reviewed.

TL;DR: In this article, a standard methodology is proposed to determine groundwater potential using integration of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (RS and GIS) techniques and a composite map is generated using GIS tools.
Abstract: Groundwater is an important resource contributing significantly in total annual supply. However, overexploitation has depleted groundwater availability considerably and also led to land subsidence at some places. Assessing the potential zone of groundwater recharge is extremely important for the protection of water quality and the management of groundwater systems. Groundwater potential zones are demarked with the help of remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. In this study a standard methodology is proposed to determine groundwater potential using integration of RS & GIS technique. The composite map is generated using GIS tools. The accurate information to obtain the parameters that can be considered for identifying the groundwater potential zone such as geology, slope, drainage density, geomorphic units and lineament density are generated using the satellite data and survey of India (SOI) toposheets of scale 1:50000. It is then integrated with weighted overlay in ArcGIS. Suitable ranks are assigned for each category of these parameters. For the various geomorphic units, weight factors are decided based on their capability to store groundwater. This procedure is repeated for all the other layers and resultant layers are reclassified. The groundwater potential zones are classified into five categories like very poor, poor, moderate, good & excellent. The use of suggested methodology is demonstrated for a selected study area in Parbhani district of Maharashtra. This groundwater potential information will be useful for effective identification of suitable locations for extraction of water.

TL;DR: In this article, the anatase structure of titanium dioxide was obtained after calcination using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and an X-ray diffractometer (XRD).
Abstract: 4 ABSTRACT: Nanosized Titanium dioxide (TiO2) powder was synthesized via sol-gel method using titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP) as the precursor. The as prepared nano powder was used for further characterization. The phase transformation was investigated by an X-ray diffractometer (XRD). The anatase structure of titanium dioxide was obtained after calcination. The microstructure was characterized by a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM).
