TL;DR: It was shown that the deer liveweight gains were significantly influenced by the interaction between dietary energy and protein and the apparent di- gestibility of crude protein increased with increasing dietary protein level.
Abstract: The 69male deers were randomly assigned to 4 groups. The re- sults showed that the deer liveweight gains were significantly influenced by the interaction between dietary energy and protein( P0 .0 5) .The apparent di- gestibility of crude protein increased with increasing dietary protein level. The optimal dietary energy concentration and crude protein level were1 7.37MJ/ kg GE and2 2 .4 4 % CP respectively. The daily requirements of energy and crude protein per deer were37.0 0 MJGE and4 78g CP respectively during the antler growth period for yearling sika deer.
