Abstract: Fifty one living Malayan pangolins(Manis javanica) were obtained from Zhanjiang Forestry Bureau of Guangdong on August 23,2001The age structure and parasites of the animals were analyzed and examinedAccording to the wear degree of their claws,scales and hair,the behavior relationships between mother and baby,and body weight,they were divided into 4 age groups: cub,sub-adult,adult and senior,and were composted of 7(137%),21(412%),19(373%) and 4(78%) individuals respectivelySex ratio was 1∶097(♀∶♂)The epibiont and endoparasite in these pangolins were surveyed by naked eyes observation and examination of their droppingsOnly one species of tick parasite was found beneath scales of the animals,named as Amblyomma javanese SupinoThe infection rate was 6863%(35/51),but the juveniles were not infectedThe health conditions of infected individuals were poorWe also discussed the ecological security to release this species in China

Abstract: This study focused on the actuality of breeding the musk deer by enclosure culture in Shaanxi during 2008-2009.As is shown in result,the musk deer can adapt to the enclosure culture quickly.It was fed by enclosure culture.By doing this,it was better for eating frequency and kept more wild nature and strong activity.The crop of muskiness increased distinctly(P0.05).

Abstract: The paper reviewed the constituents and the pharmacological action of Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum,respectively.Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum are composed of amino acids,fatty acids,lipids,polypeptides,polysaccharides,polyamines,inorganic elements and other chemical compositions.They have pharmacological effects on nervous system,reproductive system,immune system,cardiovascular system and so on.The materials supplied in the paper would promote the development and use of Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum advantageously.

TL;DR: The effect of raising the musk deer altitude above 2 600 meters was poor, while among 1 200-1 500 meters is good for raising the deer as discussed by the authors, and the survival rate of young deer was 93% more than the former.
Abstract: In this study,we found that there were close relations between the farm site,the pen structure and the raising effect.The effect of raising the musk deer altitude above 2 600 meters was poor,while among 1 200-1 500 meters is good for raising the musk deer.Adult deer survival rate was over 95%,comparing with the former,it was increased by about 20%,survival rate of young deer was 93%,about 23% more than the former.Altitude,latitude,temperature,and vegetation are important factors for choosing the farm site.

Abstract: This study was initiated to assess the feasibility of motherless parentage testing by microsatellites in order to give help for family accuracy determination in bluefox(Alopex lagopus).15 genotypes of the most polymorphic microsatellites loci were detected in 6 families(6 female parents,61 offsprings)of bluefox.Gene frequency,expected heterozygosity(H),polymotphism information content(PIC),Exclusion Probability(EP),Cumulative Chance of Exclusion(CCE),Paternity Index(PI),Relative Chance of Paternity(RCP)were calculated by tested 67 bluefoxes in 6 families.The results showed that the Cumulative Chance of Exclusionof 15 microrsatellites loci was 0.999 996,the Paternity Index of Motherless Parentage Testing were between 850.521 3 and 966 160,and RCP were between 99.882 6% and 99.999 9%.The results of this study revealed that the microsatellite markers could be used in the Motherless Parentage Testing of blue fox with high assignment rate and accuracy.

Abstract: To study the development rules of Rana dybowskii,the growth of Rana dybowskii from 0 to 14 weeks old was analyzed and fitted with three kinds of nonlinear models(Gompertz,Logistic,and Von Bertalanffy).The growth curves were appropriately fitted with three models.But the Logistic growth model had the best effect on fitting with the growth curves.It is feasible to analyze and fit the growth curve of the Rana dybowskii using the three models.The results provided a reference for keeping abreast of the growth rule of Rana in northeast.

Abstract: Using epidemiology analysis,symptom observation,palpation, puncture,as well as bacterial isolation and identification,deep part abscess on the rearward of forest musk deer throat was diagnosed.The disease was mainly resulted from staphylococcus according to the isolated and identified bacteria.By surgery incision,the needle puncture,part and systemic administration,the disease was cured effectively.
