TL;DR: A comprehensive review of the application research of AI in basketball through literature retrieval is presented in this article, where current research focuses on the AI analysis of basketball team and player performance, prediction of competition results, analysis and prediction of shooting, AI coaching system, intelligent training machine and arena, and sports injury prevention.
Abstract: Basketball is among the most popular sports in the world, and its related industries have also produced huge economic benefits. In recent years, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in basketball has attracted a large amount of attention. We conducted a comprehensive review of the application research of AI in basketball through literature retrieval. Current research focuses on the AI analysis of basketball team and player performance, prediction of competition results, analysis and prediction of shooting, AI coaching system, intelligent training machine and arena, and sports injury prevention. Most studies have shown that AI technology can improve the training level of basketball players, help coaches formulate suitable game strategies, prevent sports injuries, and improve the enjoyment of games. At the same time, it is also found that the number and level of published papers are relatively limited. We believe that the application of AI in basketball is still in its infancy. We call on relevant industries to increase their research investment in this area, and promote the improvement of the level of basketball, making the game increasingly exciting as its worldwide popularity continues to increase.

The conception of general adaptation reactions of organism (GARO), created by Garkavi LKh, Kvakina ЕB and Ukolova MA in 1977 on the base of Selye H classic conception of stress and developed then by them (1998), and also by Radchenko ОМ (2004), sufficiently successfully used in medicine and valeology for the estimation of general condition of organism. The downside the concept was qualitative assessment of GIRO. So Popovych IL (2000, 2006) proposed to quantify the various GARO Adaptation Index, which significantly correlated with the levels of key hormones adaptation and HRV parameters as well as phagocytosis. Another disadvantage of the concept is the lack of EEG markers GARO. We set a goal to analyze the relationships Popovych’s Adaptation Index with parameters of HRV and EEG. Methods. In basal conditions in 22 men, patients with chronic pyelonephrite and cholecystite in remission, recorded twice during 9-11 days HRV (“Cardiolab+VSR”, KhAI Medica, Ukraine) and EEG (“NeuroCom Standard”, KhAI Medica, Ukraine). In portion of blood counted up leukocytogram, on the basis of which determined Popovych’s Adaptation Index (PAI). Results. Registered 14 normal (harmonious) GARO, 20 premorbidic (disharmonious) GARO and only 9 reactions of superactivation, in the absence stress-reactions. Revealed the closest relationship between PAI and normalized Power Spectral Density (PSD) LF (r=0,44), Baevskiy’s Stress Index in Orthostase (r=0,41), Laterality Index PSD θ-Rhythm (r=-0,43), PSD β-Rhythm in Right Occipital locus (r=-0,40). Canonical correlation between PAI, on the one hand, and the parameters of HRV and EEG, on the other hand, is strong: R=0,846; R 2 =0,716; Adjusted R 2 =0,628; F (10) =8,1; χ 2 (10) =47,3; p<10 -5 . Conclusion. Popovych’s Adaptation Index reflects the activity of a number of regulatory nerve structures. Keywords: general adaptation reactions, leukocytogram, index of adaptation by Popovych, HRV, EEG, correlations.

Keywords: regular physical activity, elderly. Abstrakt W panstwach rozwinietych i rozwijających sie coraz wiekszą grupe spoleczenstw stanowią seniorzy. Bogate piśmiennictwo poruszające tematyke medycznych aspektow procesu starzenia, mowi o niezaprzeczalnym znaczeniu ruchu dla toczących sie w ludzkim ciele procesow inwolucyjnych. Ludzki organizm zaczyna starzec sie okolo 20-25 roku zycia. Zmiany dotyczą wszystkich ukladow ciala. Najbardziej odczuwalne w zyciu codziennym są te, ktore zachodzą w ukladzie krązeniowo-oddechowym i mieśniowo-szkieletowym. Trening fizyczny dla osoby starszej, aby byl skuteczny i bezpieczny, powinien byc skonstruowany i nadzorowany przez specjaliste. Abstract In developed and developing countries an increasing group of societies are seniors. Awareness of the problem has led to widespread discussion of experts and practitioners from the fields of medical devices on the need for the measures necessary to ensure that societies successful old age. For a long time, indicates that the lack of motor activity is dangerous to health. Aging of the cardiovascular system is accompanied by a lot of adverse structural changes and biochemical function. For typical of this period of change is believed to be weakening the possibility of relaxation of the muscle fibers, which may cause diastolic heart failure. Training of health-is a type of physical activity performed for medical reasons. The goal is to get mental and physical effects against reducing the adaptability of the body. Experts are finding older people about the benefits of a physically active lifestyle. Rich writing evocative theme of medical aspects of the aging process, speaks of undeniable importance for traffic in human flesh involutional processes. Physical activity appropriately dosed is able to clearly reduce the negative impact of these changes and as long as you can afford to maintain the physical, mental and social health. It was noted that systematically dosed exercise reduces the risk of many diseases, eg. diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease. Numerous scientific studies and extensive external links gerontologiczne submit the latest reports of professionals about how to properly prepare and conduct physical training with the elderly. The human body begins to age about 20-25 years of age. The changes apply to all body systems. Most felt in everyday life are the ones that occur in the breathing cardiopulmonary and musculo-skeletal. Physical training for older persons, in order to be effective and safe, should be designed and supervised by a specialist.
