Abstract: The early 19 th century and 20th century is marked by a salient feature of close association between the economic progress and political freedom. This close association led to the phenomenon of globalization. Poor countries seek help from the rich countries and they too help them because, they also get benefit. Foreign direct investment play a key role in economic progress and this has a direct impact on employment level in any economy. This study focuses the impact of foreign direct investment on employment level in Pakistan. Data time span is 1970-2011. The variables in the study are employment level, foreign direct investment, exchange rate and GDP per capita. The study uses Johanson Co-integration approach to analyze the long run relationship between the dependent and independent variables. The result shows the existence of long run relationship. Abstract: Waqf is one of the sources of Islamic Economic system. It refers to the voluntary charity which has unique presence in Islam. Islamic law is the first law ever that defines and regulates Waqf as a civil societal institution. It started since the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) himself. Waqf before Islam was always a religious exercise when a rich person assigns a property to the temple and monks would use it for the temple expenses. In present, it has proved around the globe that Micro Credit and Safety Net Program are not successful in reducing poverty and income inequality. In this context, Waqf can be one of the vital alternatives alongside Zakah because early history indicates free education, scholarship, orphanage, free treatment etc as provided by Waqf based institutions. But current scenario shows that, Waqf based institutions are not growing at a considerable level. If we really want to do something for the needy and the poor, we have to revive this much needed institution. This paper shares and explores the current status of the Waqf sector in Bangladesh from socio-economic perspective and underlines the areas that need a fresh look for revitalization and proper utilization of Waqf . The paper also tries to assess the role of Waqf in sustainable economic development and reducing poverty in the context of Bangladesh. There are some specific suggestions and recommendations that deserve serious consideration for the development of Waqf in the country. Abstract: Domestic violence is severe human rights predicament that transcends cultural, economic, social and religious ranks. It hinders human dignity, health and in the long period become a main problem to socio-economic and political growth. This study examined the challenges undermining domestic violence victims’ access to justice in Mampong Municipality of Ghana Qualitative research designed was used for this study and sample size for the study was 80 respondents. The study population comprised all individuals who were presently residing at Mampong Municipality and have been a victim of domestic violence after the coming into force of the Ghana’s Domestic violence Act 732 of 2007 and the study used purposive and snowball sampling methods in selecting respondents. In-depth unstructured interview and observation were the research instruments used to collect the data. Interviewees said infidelity, polygamous relationships, and quarrels over maintenance, substance abuse including alcohol and limited economic opportunities as a result of unemployment are the major causes of domestic violence and all the respondents hold the belief that domestic violence is a private, family issue which discourages Ghanaian domestic violence victims’ from reporting their abuses to the justice system and this creates huge pressure on victims to settle domestic violence matters privately and this affects the response of the criminal justice system. The study concluded that domestic violence is a multifaceted process influenced by numerous factors and domestic violence is a pervasive problem in Ghana and recommended that an efficient approach should be adopted to expose the wickedness in domestic violence to the people. Policy makers should put in place programmes targeted at individuals to inculcate in them the culture of frowning on domestic violence without compromise. Abstract: The form of BUMN law in Indonesia based on Law Number 19 Year 2003 concerning BUMN only exists two, namely PERSERO and PERUM, however, in the said BUMN Law it is not regulated in detail regarding what business sectors may be carried out by PERUM and what business sectors may be carried out by PERSERO. Including in the field of business that controls the lives of many people, can it be done by PERUM or PERSERO. Based on that fact, this paper will be analyzed normatively based on primary legal material and secondary legal material, on how the ideal legal form of BUMN whose business field dominates the lives of many people. From the results of the analysis it was found that the ideal law, which is in line with paragraph IV of the Preamble of The 1945 Constitution and Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution, is PERUM, because PERUM is a Business Entity whose overall capital is owned by the state, which aims to hold public and non-profit services.
