Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, the authors give answers to the questions of timing, tectonic style and geodynamic interpretation of south China geologic development, which implies two successive suturings of oceanic domains during the Middle-Late Proterozoic: one about 1500 Ma and one about 950 Ma.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a geodynamic evolution of the South China Sea by subduction of the Izanagi plate beneath an east Asian Andean-type continental margin until middle Cretaceous, collision with the West Philippines Block around the early-late Cretagian boundary, post-collisional crustal extension and onset of rifting during the late Cretaged, prior to the India-Asia indentation process.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: Alkaline granites (RbSr ages 276-286 Ma) occur in the Baiyinula-Dongujumqin belt of the southern margin of the Siberian plate, and were generated in tensional tectonic environments.

TL;DR: A newly formed northwest-dipping subduction zone during the Sinian-early Paleozoic time was situated on the Shangyu-Zhenghe-Dapu-Lufeng fractural zone to the southeast of the Northwest Fujian terrane as discussed by the authors.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, 40Ar/39Ar radiometric age-dating results together with petrochemical studies of granitoid rocks from nearly all parts of Thailand strongly indicate that the granite belts (i.e. Eastern, Central and Western) form in different geological and geotectonic environments and show marked contrast in geochronological evolution.
