Vertical Differentiation and the Principle of Minimum Horizontal Differentiation in Hotelling's Model

Abstract: Supposed there is a certain of vertical differentiation between the duopoly in Hotelling's model,we have reached a SPNE in location-price game.As the existence of the vertical differentiation have increased the market power of the firms,and then weakened the firm's motivation of differentiation in the horizontal differentiation product space,we concluded that,in equilibrium,the duopoly's strategy in the horizontal differentiation space is consistent with the principle of minimum differentiation,which is apparently distinguished from the conclusion of all of the presented articles.

Abstract: In this paper,we sum up some methods of the reform and practice on"circuit analysis",they are:combining multimedia modern teaching method with tradition teaching method,combining class with internet class,combining teacher's school teaching with student's self-study,combining hardware with software emulation in experiment.Through these methods and means,we have good teaching effect.

Abstract: With the accelerating of globalization,the trend of foreignization in subtitling has become more and more apparent.The author is trying to prove the trend from three aspects: from the definition,from the characteristics of subtitling and from the information theory.Also,a number of examples from the Hollywood movies and TV series have been cited to prove the case.

Exploration and Practice in Teaching the Course of Communication Principles

Abstract: This paper discussed the practice of teaching reform in the course of Communication Principles at Zhejiang WanLi University.The discussion investigated different aspects including content integration,teaching methods reformation.In conclusion it proposed a method to integrate teaching contents,in which analog communication is considered as the start point,digital transmission for analog signal as the learning media,and digital communication as the learning key.New teaching ideas and a complete set of teaching methods are also given to improve the teaching effect,making full use of advanced technology as practice measures.
