Abstract: The utilization of chromed leather wastes in developing leather chemicals was biefly summarized. Chrome compounds recovered through incineration,oxidation or hydrolysis of the waste could be reused as tanning agent. Peptied separated from the hydrolysate of the waste was a kind of raw material in developing retanning agents,finishes and fatliqours and the mixture of chrome and peptide,with some modification,could be directly used in tanning process.

Abstract: In the preceding study,the two_power regression orthogonal design is determined to probe into the relation between composition of vinyl polymer tanning agent and properties. Six monomers (AN-acrylonitrile,AM-acrylic amide,MAA-methyl acrylic acid,MMA-methyl methacrylate,VAc-vinyl acetate,EA-ethyl acrylate) are chosen to copolymerize with acrylic acid(AA) to form bipolymers. Using these bipolymers as tanning agents,detecting ten proper indexes of retanning leather samples,e.g. thickness increment ratio,shrinking temperature increment,phy_mech properties,compressible factor,etc.,and regressing the data,the experimental cognitive equations related properties with composition are gotten. The form is y p=ax 2+bx+c(p,a,b and c are regressing parameters). In this paper,the hexapolymers composed with five monomers (AN,AM,MAA,MMA,VAc,EA) and acrylic acid are investigated. To nine indexes,nine equations are got,and the form is:y p=b 0+∑5i=1b ix i+∑5i=1,ijb ij x ix j+∑5i=1b ii x 2 i. And further discussions are also given.

Abstract: Methacrylate and dodecanol, in the proportion of 1.1-1.21 (on mol) are reacted at 120 for 2.5h to prepare methacrylic dodecanol ester and at (811) dropped by a certain amount of dodecyl sulfonate sodium and sulfated castor oil, followed by the redox reaction of initiator. The aqueous acrylic monomer is added, as many as 9 times, at the speed of 1 drop/3-5s. The obtained retanning fatliquor has better stabilities and electrolyte stabilities.
