Abstract: Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)for COPD at stable phaseMethods:Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were identified from Cochrane Library(issue 4,2005),CBM(1995-2006),CNKI(1994-2005)and TCM(1995-2005)All trials of clinical therapeutic studies on COPD at stable phase by TCM were included and analyzed according to the criteria of the Cochrane HandbookRevMan 4210 software was used for data analysisResults:Eleven RCTs involving 1110 prtients were includedMeta-analysis indicated:TCM was more effective than western medicine on effective power [RR合并=17,95%CI(129,224),P=00001],reducing total accumulated points of cardinal symptoms such as cough,stethocatharsis,gasp,short breath,anorexia and debilitation[WMD=-350,95%CI(-473,-226),P000001],relieving cough [RR合并=155,95%CI(140,172),P000001] and stethocatharsis[RR合并=145,95%CI(132,160),P000001],elevating FVC[WMD=024,95%CI(015,033),P000001] and FEV1[WMD=024,95%CI(007,040),P=0005]Conclusion:TCM may have positive effect on COPD at stable phase,and slow down clinical symptoms such as cough and stethocatharsis,and raise breathing capacityHowever,the evidence is not strong enough fue to the general low methodological quality,so we can't draw a reliable conclusion about the effects of TCM for COPD at the momentMore high quality trials are needed

Abstract: To investigate the mechanisms of Duhuo to delay cerebral aging through studying inhibitory effect of Duhuo water granula on immune injury in AD model of Wister rats.Method:To use Aβ-amyloid protein injection method of Wister rats and Hippocampus to shape AD model,traditional Chinese medicine Duhuo,Western medicine indomethacin,and saline were administered.ELISA method is used to detect expression of cytokines in serum IL-4 and TNF-α in different groups.Results:The content of IL-4 in AD model Wister rats was lower(P0.01)than that of general Wister rats,whereas the content of TNF-α was higher(P0.01).Compared with model group,IL-4 secretion in the Chinese medicine group was higher(P0.01).whereas the content of TNF-α was lower(P0.01).Conclusion:Duhuo could inhibit the inflammation of central nerves of AD model Wister rats.Duhuo water granula could delay cerebral aging and the mechanism is to regulate immune function so as to prevent and trent immune injury.

Abstract: The yin deficiency models in mice were induced by oral administration of thyroid tablet and reserpine,the blood deficiency models in mice were induced by intraperitoneal injection of cyclophosphamide,the diabetes models in mice were induced by caudal intravenous injection of alloxon.Rehmaionoside D was used in treating the models,the levels of weight,contents of plasma cAMP and cGMP,blood routine examination and platelet count,reticulocyte count,spleen index,contents of bone marrow DNA and blood sugar were detected.Results:①Rehmaionoside D could significantly increase the weight,reduce the contents of plasma cAMP in yin deficiency model mice.②Rehmainonoside D could obviously raise the counts of white blood cell,platelet,reticulocyte,the contents of bone marrow DNA and the weight in blood deficiency model mice.③Rehmainonoside D had the trend to reduce the blood sugar in diabetes model mice.

Abstract: This paper discussed the selfcharacteristic of meridian lines and the relationship between mast cells and nerve-body fluidimmunity networks. It was confirmed that mast cells are one of key factors of amplifying acupuncture effect signal. This research result provides theoretical basis for further exploring mechanism of mast cells in acupuncture effect.

Abstract: According to 66 domestic clinical articles reported during the year 1990 to 2000,a statistic analysis is made on the frequency of herbs used in primary hepatocellular carcinoma.The results show that the most frequently used herbs are those having the function of spleen invigorating with Qi strengthening,blood activating with phlegm dissipating,heat clearing with toxic expelling,heat dampness cleaning as well as Yin nourishing.The used frequencies of tuckahoe,large headed atractylodes,Chinese thorowax,Bayuezha and milk veteh are 79%,71%,71%,43% and 43% respectively;root of red rooted salvia,Chinese agnelica,zedoary furmeric,yanhusuo and root tuber of aromatic turmeric are 86%,64%,64%,57%,50% and 50%;Baihuasheshecao and sun plant used in Qi stagnation with blood stasis,liver stagnation with spleen deficiency,deficiency of liver Yin and kidney Yin are 57% and 36%,36% and 29%,29% and 14%;root of rehmannia,root bark of peony,turtle shell,tortoise plastron and rhizome of wind weed are 71%,57%,50%,43% and 43%.
