Abstract: Il libro affronta sia i processi nei quali i migranti mantengono e producono reti trasnazionali, sia il ruolo che l’antropologia oggi e chiamata a svolgere nel descrivere le diverse “scenografie” che il fenomeno della migrazione a fatto arrivare nelle nostre realta urbane. Si analizzano alcune terminologie usate dai senegalesi per indicare gli europei in Senegal come “toubab” oppure “vucumpra” usato dagli europei per denigrare gli ambulanti in Italia.

Abstract: Come riusciamo ad afferrare immediatamente il significato delle azioni degli altri? Come ne comprendiamo intenzioni ed emozioni? Alle gia importanti risposte psicologiche, antropologiche e filosofiche, la neurofisiologia, in tempi recenti, aggiunge un innovativo elemento di conoscenza: i “neuroni specchio” dotati di una sorprendente proprieta. Essi si attivano sia quando compiamo una data azione in prima persona sia quando vediamo che altri la compiono. Questa importante scoperta, i presupposti teorici e le ricerche sperimentali che l’hanno resa possibile, vengono per la prima volta affrontati in un libro. Il libro, infatti, racconta, la storia della loro scoperta, nonche le implicazioni che essa avrebbe sul modo di intendere l’architettura e il funzionamento del cervello umano.

Abstract: Telematic Groups and Virtual Communities: potenziality and risk de-riving from the use of new interactive instruments With the increasing spread of the new information and communication tech-nologies, more and more people are accessing various on-line resources each day. The use of computer-supported interaction has become a primary feature of communication among group members. Because groups communicate via the use of computers in many personal, educational, and professional settings, it is important to continue and encourage the study of group processes in such environments. In psychoanalytic terms, computers and cyber-space may become a type of “transitional space”, an intermediate zone be-tween self and other, that is part self and part other. Under less than optimal conditions, people use this psychological space to simply vent or act out their fantasies and the frustrations, anxieties, and desires Even though the net semplify our life, for some people ,the socalled addicted, these benefits are becoming detriments. In many case the Internet provides an escape from reality and everyday problems just like alcohol or drugs: the internet addiction is a disorder involving tolerance, withdrawal and abstinential symptoms, affective disturbances and interruption of social relationships and job’s activi-ties. Internet rappresents an enormous social and individual resource, but it’s important to know its dangers and limits as well as its potensialities to increase the capability of ruling the technological innovation without being overwhelmed by it.

Abstract: The role of language in the social construction of post-modern reality Between representational systems of common usage, daily language and, nonetheless, that of various scientific communities, establishes the more powerful instrument with which the several configurations of reality we participate are constantly realized: different scenes within which embodying roles and charachters coherent (or not) with the interactive context in which we take part, a context made of codes, languages, highly specific symbols that concur to create a sense and a meaning to name the experiences that therefore are turned into objectivity The language structure in itself carries out one reassuring function: at the base of the daily main routines the we find a continuous correspondence between our meanings and those of the others; it’s just during the daily routine that we share with others a common sense In the process of reality social construction the individual surely comes to life with a certain social lean but he’s not directly a member of the society He gradually takes part in it, through a step by step evolution in which the internalization of a common and shared language with the own belonging human community sets the first moment At the same time, nowadays, we assist to a pluralism of languages due to the cohabitation, in the same urban context, of various cultures in interaction between them, and due to the mass media that invite us to give the right value to the differences and not to mystify the diversity
