Abstract: A busca por materias primas renovaveis e de baixo custo para a obtencao de diferentes insumos e crescente nos ultimos tempos, principalmente devido ao fato de possibilitar a reducao de custo de produtos alimenticios com alto valor nutritivo. O farelo de arroz com sua riqueza em nutrientes, principalmente como fonte de vitaminas e minerais e um subproduto da agroindustria brasileira com potencial para ser aproveitado na formulacao de alimentos. Entretanto, o aproveitamento biotecnologico do farelo de arroz abre perspectivas economicas de maior valor agregado para sua utilizacao em diferentes segmentos industriais. Neste trabalho sao apresentadas consideracoes sobre as caracteristicas e aplicacoes do farelo de arroz, bem como resultados de pesquisas sobre a sua utilizacao na suplementacao de meios microbiologicos.

Abstract: Com o objetivo de avaliar o efeito da omissao de macronutrientes no crescimento e no estado nutricional da couve-flor, bem como descrever sintomas visuais de deficiencia nutricional, foi conduzido um experimento em casa de vegetacao, em solucao nutritiva. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, com sete tratamentos, que corresponderam a solucao completa e a omissao individual de N, P, K, Ca, Mg e S, com tres repeticoes. Foram avaliados a altura das plantas, o numero de folhas, a area foliar, a massa seca da parte aerea, das raizes e planta inteira, os teores dos macronutrientes da parte aerea e raizes e descritas as desordens nutricionais. As omissoes individuais de N, P, K, Ca e Mg foram as mais limitantes para o crescimento vegetativo da couve-flor, reduzindo consideravelmente a altura, o numero de folhas, area foliar, assim como massa seca da parte aerea, raizes e planta inteira. Foram observados sintomas de deficiencia nutricional de cada elemento. Os teores dos macronutrientes na parte aerea do tratamento completo e com omissao dos nutrientes foram respectivamente: N = 36,3 – 11,0; P = 5,0 – 1,0; K = 37,0 – 4,7; Ca = 26,0 – 5,7; Mg = 5,3 – 1,0; S = 15 – 3,0 g kg-1.

Abstract: The sugarcane is one of the most important crops for Brazilian commercial terms. Nowadays the sugarcane agro-industry processes around 300 million tons of sugarcane a year, produced in approximately 5,4 million hectares. Although the mechanized harvested area is less than 25%, it tends to increase in nest years, especially due to governmental laws. The adoption of the mechanized harvesting system causes among others the raise of strange matter and loss of raw material in the field.

Abstract: According to the ecologist, the tropical rain Forest is a big ecosystem or a biome. Under the geographic optics, it is a type of sub continental vegetation that it is part of the humid tropical physiographic system, and occupies a considerable geographic space in Brazil and in some neighboring countries. Geographers, biologists and other scientists have been studying this evolution in geological time, under the focus of the paleoclimates of the Quaternary. However, it is transforming, in recent historical time, due to a considerable devastation and environmental impacts, in the same time, it has been attracting the researchers and ecotourists’ attention. For all this reasons, the government organs adopt the conservationist policies that aim to preserve what there is left. This article tries to approach these aspects concerning the Atlantic rain forest.

Abstract: SUMMARY: The experiment was conducted in the municipality of Ituverava, in the Estiva farm in the agricultural year of 07/08. The work used the soybean cultivar BRS Valiosa RR to evaluate the performace of the soybean with application of calcium chloride to 26% and boric acid to 17% in different stages of development of culture. The treatments consisted of applications in eight steps, as follows: prebloom, pre-bloom + flowering, pre-bloom + flowering + pod, pre - bloom + pod, bloomed, flowering + pod, pods and control. The evaluation used the experimental design of randomized blocks with 8 treatments and 4 replicates. It was evaluated the number of pods per plant, number of grain per pod, weight of 100 grains. It was observed that application of calcium chloride and boric acid by leaf in the different stages of development of soybean showed no significant difference.

Abstract: A conventional shaped charge comprises a conical metal liner projecting a hyper velocity jet of metal that is able to penetrate to great depths into steel armour. However, misalignment problems exist in tandem with jet break up and spewing particles that greatly diminish its penetration power. An EFP, on the other hand, has a liner in the shape of a geometrical recess. The force of the blast molds the liner into a number of configurations, depending on the geometry and the explosive detonation characteristics. This paper presents comparative parametric numerical simulations of materials used as liners in the explosively formed projectiles EFPs. Numerical simulations are carried out using AUTODYN 2D hydrocode to study effects of liner’s materials on the shape, velocity, traveled distance, time, pressure, internal energy, temperature, yield stress, divergence or stability, density, compression, and length to diameter (L/D) ratio of EFPs. These parameters are estimated at the instants of maximum as well as at stable velocities. The parametric study reveals that aluminum has maximum velocity in shortest time among the liner materials. From this reason, it was concluded effective standoff was greater for aluminum than more denser metals. Maximum velocity and traveled distance of Tantalum EFP is found to be minimum which may be due to low thermal softening exponent and larger hardening exponent. The simulated yield stress and pressure developed in the Fe EFP reaches at maximum. The L/D ratio for Copper is found to be maximum which supports maximum penetration. From the stability point of view, 1006 MS is found to be the most reliable liner material due to minimum divergence. Generally all liner materials have similar effects of all parameters like pressure, internal energy, temperature, yield stress, divergence or stability, density, compression at the instants of maximum as well as at stable velocities except L/D ratio of EFPs. At the instant of maximum velocity, L/D ratio of Ta and AL EFPs have minimum and maximum L/D ratio respectively whereas Fe and Cu EFPs have minimum and maximum L/D ratio respectively. The velocity attenuation laws for liner materials from maximum to stable velocities are determined and plotted. The EFPs observed at maximum velocities are profilic except tantalum which shows a straight profile one due to higher density. The velocity attenuation laws show material for which maximum and stabilized velocity come earlier than other materials whereas tantalum is the liner’s material for which maximum and stabilized velocity take more time than other materials due to lower and higher densities respectively.

Abstract: The aim of the present research was to study the effects of temperature and light on seedlings development of two cultivars of corn (Zea mays. L.), Zeneca-8392 and Exeler/Ciba. The experiment was done under climatic chamber conditions with light and temperature control. Eighteen treatments consisted of combinations of constant temperatures (10, 25 and 35 C) or alternate temperatures (10-25, 10-35 and 25-35oC) with different photoperiodic regimes (0, 8 and 24 hours of light). Plants were grown in pots with 16 plant/pot and 5 replications per treatment. Seedling were evaluated for subcrown internode length, coleoptile length and plant height, starting at the four true leave stage. The tratment that promoted the lowest subcrown internode length was the combination of alternate temperature (10-35oC) with constant light for both cultivars. Temperature, light and genotype have some effects on the development of corn seedlings. Plants and subcrown internode etiolation was not only due to light absence but also to combinations of photoperiodic and temperature regimes.

Abstract: The goal of this work was to study the diet of Astyanax lineatus from the Taquaracu Stream, in the region of Serra da Bodoquena, State of Mato Grosso do Sul, central Brazil. The fish were caught using a combination of electric fishing, seines and hoop nets. The stomach contents of 15 specimens was analyzed using the frequency of occurrence, in which the number of fish that contain certain item is expressed as percentage of total number of fish examined with the content. Our results indicate that A. lineatus is an euryphagic species, with a tendency to insectivory, with a predominance of aquatic insects in its diet

Abstract: Objective of this experiment was to evaluate the effect of the depth of the seeds in the profile of the ground and the presence of the straw in the regularity and intensity of emergency, as well as the dormancy and survival of seeds of Ipomoea quamoclit, Ipomoea nil and Merremia cissoides. The research was installed in embedded ceramics pipes in the ground. The adopted delineation was complete randomized, in the factorial project 3x3x2, with three repetitions: 3 species, 3 depths, 2 coverings. After one year of buried, the ground was removed and the recouped seeds had been submitted to the test of germination, and viability for the tetrazolio test. For Merremia cissoides, the percentage of plant emerged and recouped seeds was bigger in the depth of 0 - 5 cm. Had a lesser percentage of lost seeds in the depth of 0 - 5 cm, being that it did not have influence of the covering deceased., Ipomoea quamoclit, the emerged percentage of plant was bigger in the depth of 0 - 5 cm, with or without covering deceased, whereas the percentage of recouped seeds was lesser in the depth of 10 - 15 cm with or without covering presence deceased. The depth of 10 - 15 cm presented greater percentage of lost seeds, with or without covering deceased, Ipomoea nil, the biggest emerged percentage of plants was in the depth of 0 - 5 straw cm, with or without, being that the biggest percentage of recouped seeds was found in the same depth in the straw presence. The depth of 10 - 15 cm with covering presence deceased presented greater percentage of lost seeds.

Abstract: SUMMARY: The maturation of the sugarcane is a physiological process that involves the synthesis of sugars in the leaves, translocation of the products formed and storage of sucrose in the stem. The different chemical ripeners differ not only in formulating but also in the time between application and harvest and weather conditions required. This review aimed to make a survey of the effect of chemical ripeners in the sugarcane (Saccharum spp). The specific methodology used sought to understand the publications on the effect of chemicals applied to matured crop of sugarcane. Were matured addressed the various chemicals applied to the culture of sugarcane, and the effects of these, the concept of maturity, flowering and the use of inhibitors and the results and recommendations on the use. It was concluded that the chemicals ripeners in the sugarcane enabled improved productivity when used technically, combining increased plant growth and maximum accumulation of sucrose.

Abstract: The sunset of the constitucionalismo is resulting from the transition for to powders-modernity that, between other phenomena, it is realized by a new society that reduces his political universe because of adopting a speech of efficiency and individualism. In this environment the immediate hypothesis is of crisis for the practice of citizenship, in his sense classic and definite in the democratic liberal constitutions. But the format of the Modern, cohesive and uniform State around the concept of sovereignity, also is today questioned and the constitution, like document and instrument that symbolizes this power, it is hypothetically discredited. But the modern constitution, with his symbols of ceremony, rationality and it forces, it is a tangible and important instrument of resistance. When the constitution allied to the idea of which there is inherent in the society a set of beginnings that governs it, it will survive under a new perspective. A perspective that has to consider the globalized world and the bases of the powders-modernity.

Abstract: RESUMO: O trabalho experimental foi conduzido no Campus da FAFRAM, Faculdade “Dr. Francisco Maeda”, localizada no municipio de Ituverava, SP, no periodo de 14 de novembro de 2007 a 12 de fevereiro de 2008, com o objetivo de avaliar a produtividade de materia verde nas culturas de girassol, milho, milheto e sorgo em diferentes espacamentos, para silagem. O delineamento experimental foi o de blocos ao acaso em um esquema fatorial 4 x 4 com duas repeticoes. Cada parcela foi constituida por tres metros lineares, com espacamentos de 0,50, 0,60, 0,70 e 0,80 metros. Os resultados foram significativos para o peso do colmo, peso do capitulo e peso total de materia verde (PTMV) na cultura do girassol. Ja para o peso da folha observou-se diferenca significativa para a cultura do milho. Nos espacamentos de 0,60, 0,70 e 0,80 metros, os pesos de colmo, espiga, panicula e PTMV nao apresentam diferencas significativas. Ja para o peso de folha, o espacamento de 0,80 proporcionou melhor media. Quanto ao peso do colmo nas culturas de girassol, milheto, milho e sorgo nos espacamentos de 0,50, 0,60, 0,70 e 0,80 m, obtiveram resultados significativos nos quatro espacamentos a cultura do girassol registrando 28.166,66 Kg, 31.526,51 Kg, 43.450,20 Kg e 39.062,49 Kg respectivamente. Concluiu-se que a producao total de massa verde para a cultura do girassol, milheto e milho foi maior com o espacamento de 0,80 m, enquanto a cultura do sorgo a producao foi maior com o espacamento de 0,60 metros. Used too, like source of information the application of questionnaires to teacher professionals who work with depressive children. The Children Depression Inventory was used too, like identify pupils with depression symptoms.

Abstract: Objetivou-se analisar parametros de fixacao biologica do nitrogenio em cultivares de soja em resposta a inoculacao e aplicacao de cobalto e molibdenio via pulverizacao foliar. O delineamento foi em blocos ao acaso, com testemunhas adicionais com tres repeticoes, consistindo de 18 tratamentos: 15 cultivares tratadas e mais tres cultivares eleitas entre as 15 e utilizadas como testemunhas (nao tratadas). No estadio V6 avaliaram-se em 5 plantas ao acaso por parcela util os parametros: numero de nodulos (NNOD), massa seca de nodulos (MNOD), da raiz (MRAIZ) e parte aerea (MFOL). Os dados obtidos foram submetidos a analise de variancia pelo teste F e as medias comparadas pelo teste de Scott Knott (p.0,05). Pelos resultados obtidos foram verificadas que as cultivares diferiram entre si quanto aos parametros de fixacao biologica do nitrogenio. Os maiores valores de NNOD e MNOD foram obtidos nas cultivares IAC 23 e M-SOY 5942. Para a MRAIZ destacaram-se as cultivares BRS 133 e BRS 184, e para MFOL a BRS 184. Em relacao as estimativas de correlacoes os melhores resultados foram obtidos para NNOD x MNOD e MRAIZ x MFOL.

Abstract: The lettuce is a vegetable leafy of larger commercial value cultivated in Brazil, for about 75 commercial varieties. Plant of tranquilizing properties is considered, with high vitamin tenor A, B and C, besides calcium, match, potassium and others mine. The Present work had as objective evaluates the agronomic efficiency of the plant growth regultors on the physiologic and productive aspects of the culture of the lettuce curly variety “Veronica” and lettuce American variety “Lucy Brow”. The rehearsal was developed in commercial property of vegetables leafy, located in the municipal district of Fernao, state of Sao Paulo, in a completely randomized, with four replication and sixteen plants for plot, totaling six treatments, T1 - control, T2 - 75ml.100L-1, T3 - 100ml.100L-1, T4 - 125ml.100L-1, T5 - 150ml.100L-1, T6 - 175ml.100L-1 of plant growth regulator stimulate. The evaluation parameters were accomplished during the crop about the following determinations: Chlorophyll rates, diameter of the heads of lettuce, medium weight of the feet, number of leaves and incidence of it burns of boards. In a “Veronica”, significant increase was observed in a vegetative development and medium weight of the plants specifically in dosage of 150ml.100L-1, regarding elevation of the chlorophyll rates the American variety “Lucy Brow” presented larger rates in a concentration of 100ml.L-1 of Stimulate.

Este artigo pretende lancar um pouco de luz sobre o tema, discorrendo sobre o que e um ERP e quais as exigencias tecnicas para coloca-lo em operacao na empresa. Abstract: RESUMO: O milho (Zea mays, L.) e um produto agricola altamente cultivado em todo o territorio nacional, tendo sua utilizacao uso para consumo humano e animal, alem de inumeros derivados utilizados na producao e industrializacao de alimentos. Assim como outros graos cultivados no pais, sofre o ataque de inumeras pragas durante o seu desenvolvimento no campo e tambem durante o armazenamento, tendo entre os mais prejudiciais, os carunchos do genero Sitophilus ssp. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a resistencia ao ataque de S. zeamais MOTS., 1855, de sete genotipos de milho. Os resultados para as variaveis de reducao de peso, numero de carunchos ao final do ensaio, percentagem de ataque e reducao do teor de nitrogenio, indicaram que os hibridos que melhor se destacaram quanto a resistencia foram o C 701 (Cargill) e o AG3050 (Agromen), sendo os mais resistentes e indicados para locais com grande pressao de infestacao. Abstract: SUMMARY: The goal of this study was to analyze the diet of Moenkhausia intermedia (Eigenmann, 1908) from Diogo Lake, Rio Mogi-Guacu basin, municipality of Luis Antonio, State of Sao Paulo, southeastern Brazil. Sixteen stomachs were examined using the method of frequency of occurrence (%FO). According to our analysis 28.79% of the food items were autochthonous, 48.48% allochthonous and 22.73% from non identified origins. Our results indicate that M. intermedia belongs to the omnivorous food guild, with a tendency to insectivory. The allochthonous items were the most frequent, with seeds showing a 100% frequency of occurrence and terrestrial insects 68.75%. Hence, an intact riparian vegetation is considered of great importance as a source of food for most aquatic invertebrates and fish.

Abstract: RESUMO: O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a qualidade e vida util de mamao ‘Formosa’ minimamente processado e tratados com agua bi-destilada, solucao de hipoclorito de sodio a 2%, solucao de cloreto de calcio a 1%, solucao de acido ascorbico a 1% e com solucao de acido citrico a 1% Apos o tratamento os produtos foram acondicionados em bandejas de polietileno tereftalato, revestidas externamente com filme plastico de PVC, esticavel e autoaderente de 0,012mm de espessura e armazenados a temperatura de 51oC com 85 a 90% UR e a de 91oC com 85 a 90% UR Os produtos foram avaliados, diariamente, quanto a perda de massa fresca, taxa respiratoria, acidez total titulavel, solidos soluveis totais, carboidrato soluvel, vitamina C, textura e aparencia Atraves dos resultados obtidos pode-se concluir que o mamao minimamente processado e tratado com agua bi-destilada e solucao de hipoclorito de sodio a 2% tiveram vida util de seis dias, independente da temperatura de armazenamento; a temperatura de 91oC foi a que proporcionou as maiores perdas de massa fresca; a taxa respiratoria variou durante todo o periodo de armazenamento; apos o corte, os valores de acidez total titulavel, solidos soluveis totais e carboidratos soluveis sofreram interferencia dos tratamentos e oscilaram durante todo o periodo de armazenamento; nos produtos armazenados a 51oC o uso de solucao de hipoclorito de sodio e nos armazenados a 91oC o uso de agua destilada sobressaiu na retencao dos teores de vitamina C ao final do periodo de armazenamento; a textura dos produtos minimamente processados, independente do tratamento e da temperatura de armazenamento, diminuiu; a aparencia externa do mamao minimamente processado e tratado com agua bi-destilada e solucao de hipoclorito de sodio a 2% apresentaram notas dentro do limite de aceitabilidade ao final do periodo de armazenamento, independente da temperatura de armazenamento

Abstract: Low-background gamma spectrometry was applied to analyze the uranium enrichment of the nuclear fuel used in the InSTEC Sub Critical ensemble. The enrichment was calculated by two variants: an absolute method using a Monte Carlo simulated detector volumetric efficiency, and an iterative procedure without the utilization of standard sources. The results show that the nuclear fuel of the ensemble is natural without any small enrichment degree. (Author)

Abstract: As organizacoes hospitalares vem passando por mudancas e, para se manterem num mercado cada vez mais competitivo, devem adaptar-se ao contexto no qual estao inseridas, direcionando suas acoes rumo a uma maior flexibilidade. Uma das consequencias dessa busca e a diversificacao da mao-de-obra, resultando em uma forca de trabalho cada vez mais heterogenea. Dessa forma, uma importante dimensao a ser estudada e a crescente participacao da mulher neste mercado de trabalho. Por meio deste artigo, buscou-se compreender a natureza da diversidade organizacional socialmente construida em torno das relacoes genero presentes em uma organizacao hospitalar do sul de Minas Gerais. Para tanto, buscou-se interpretar as representacoes sociais elaboradas por medicos, medicas, enfermeiros e enfermeiras em torno das relacoes de genero na organizacao estudada. Constatou-se que a representacao de profissoes tipicamente masculinas ou femininas ainda persiste nas relacoes de trabalho entre as classes profissionais pesquisadas, mesmo estando em igualdade de condicoes em termos de formacao especifica, cultura e competencia.

Abstract: A necessidade de busca da otimizacao dos recursos produtivos, o aumento da competitividade no mercado produtivo, a necessidade de aumento de produtividade e a reducao de custos levam a uma tendencia de adocao de tecnologias capazes de tornar a exploracao agricola cada vez mais competitiva e rentavel. A irrigacao exerce papel fundamental no agronegocio como uns dos principais instrumentos para modernizacao da agricultura brasileira, permitindo enormes beneficios, em especial no caso do cultivo da cana-de-acucar. A irrigacao e uma pratica ainda em estudo para a cultura da cana-de-acucar, no entanto, quando aliada as condicoes climaticas como temperatura e luminosidade, pode aumentar a produtividade e melhorar a qualidade, garantindo bons rendimentos ao produtor.

Abstract: The rational use of stillage as fertilizer for the sugarcane, is providing several benefits for units of production in Center-South and Northeast of Brazil. Besides to create conditions for an environmentally correct allocation of industrial waste, the fertigation improved agricultural income and spending with the economy generated by fertilizer. The practice is used by all the industries which have a technological and well defined knowledge, there are numerous tests that may confirm the positive results obtained in agricultural production associated with the economy of fertilizers. The great advantage of deploying the stillage is that it can replace some nutrients in large part of mineral fertilizer, a fact proven by numerous studies that show a increase in productivity of sugarcane due to its application. On another hand, the lack of more comprehensive studies that shows the effects of contaminants caused by high doses of application, lead us to recommend that the rates of application of stillage should be based on the need potassium and sulfur by the culture.
