Abstract: The majority of recently demonstrated Deep-Learning Side-Channel Attacks (DLSCAs) use neural networks trained on a segment of traces containing operations only related to the target subkey. However, when the number of training traces is restricted such as in the ASCAD database, deep-learning models always suffer from overfitting since the insufficient training data. One data-level solution is called data augmentation, which is to use the additional synthetically modified traces to act as a regularizer to provide a better generalization capacity for deep-learning models. In this paper, we propose a cross-subkey training approach which acts as a trace augmentation. We train deep-learning models not only on a segment of traces containing the SBox operation of the target subkey of AES-128, but also on segments for other 15 subkeys. We show that training a network model by combining different subkeys outperforms a traditional network model trained with a single subkey, and prove the conclusion on two well-known datasets.

Abstract: Our planet faces a challenge of producing food to meet the demand of current population which is projected to increase by the year 2050. This implies producing more food from the existing fresh water resources which are already stressed. This is because agriculture accounts for 70% global fresh water consumption; the rest is domestic and industrial use. Yet, water is unevenly distributed globally, causing some countries to be water-rich and others water-poor. Agricultural water management provides opportunities to optimize crop yield from less water. This necessitates a shift from conventional crop production approaches which aimed at maximizing yield per unit area of land to more water conscious methods that seek to maximize crop yield per unit water consumption which is determined by evapotranspiration. Water Use Efficiency (WUE) and Crop Water Productivity (CWP) are water accounting metrics aimed at monitoring the efficiency with which water is supplied to the field and the rate at which the plant converts water into food respectively. This paper reviews these metrics by examining their differences, assessing their contribution to sustainable water management, factors affecting each of them and strategies for increasing both metrics. Findings from literature suggest that WUE and CWP are different terms, but often misused especially WUE which is wrongly applied in the contexts meant for CWP. Factors affecting CWP which must be also considered in devising strategies for increasing it can be grouped into crop specific factors, climate factors and management factors. The paper recommends a number of interventions aiming at increasing WUE and CWP from local to global scale. These include provision of technical and financial support to developing counties to enable reduce water wastage, benefit from rainfall through rain harvesting technologies and low cost irrigation

Abstract: Context: Since the transition to Dolutegravir (DTG) in 2019, several studies have been documented on People Living with HIV (PLHIV) in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and particularly in Kinshasa. Neverthe-less, no study was found on the socio-demographic and anthropometric profile of PLHIV who start treatment in Kinshasa after 2019. Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the Sociodemographic and Anthropometric profile of People Living with HIV starting AntiRetroViral treatment in Kinshasa in the Dolutegravir era. Method: This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study to determine the socio-demographic and anthropometric profile of PLHIV starting ARV treatment in HIV Outpatient Treatment Centers (OTC) in Kinshasa. group is that of 36 to 45 years with 37 patients (31.9%). The average height is 1.66 ± 0.08 meters. The average weight of the patients on D0 is 56.41 ± 13.30 kg. The average BMI value through work is 21.54 ± 5.17 kg/m 2 . The mean temperature of the patients at inclusion was 36.69˚C ± 0.68˚C. The majority of patients (46.1%) were married, followed by a single (33.0%), widowed (13.9%) and divorced (7.0%). Protestants were more numerous (70.7%) in the study population. More than three-fifths of patients (66.7%) have secondary education. Most of the patients (29.4%) in the study work in the informal sector. Conclusion: The majority of patients are female in the age group of 36 to 45 years, having an average height and weight of 1.66 ± 0.08 meters and 56.41 ± 13.30 kg respectively, with an average BMI of 21.54 ± 5.17 kg/m 2 . Almost half are married patients. A large part is Protestant, has a secondary education, and works in the informal sector.

Abstract: Since the discovery of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus in December 2019, it has spread rapidly affecting numerous people globally and World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a pandemic in March 2020. As cases of COVID-19 continue to rise daily, there are increasing concerns and controversies regarding the best methods to curb the coronavirus pandemic. Since there are no proven drugs that are completely effective for prevention or treatment of SARS-CoV-2, vaccines are considered to be the most favorable choice to control the spread of this disease and reduce severe morbidity and mortality from COVID-19. Therefore, this evidence-based intensive literature review aims to further identify and tho-roughly understand the mechanisms of actions of the primary vaccines developed against the SARS-CoV-2, aiming to provide the latest information available on current COVID-19 vaccines, touching on the viral characteristics of SARS-CoV-2, vaccine development and platforms which may be beneficial to the advancing research of novel SARS-CoV-2 vaccines.

Abstract: Fault diagnosis based on time-domain signals has become mainstream in re-cent years. Traditional methods require signal processing to extract fault features before feeding them into a neural network for diagnostic classification, which is a cumbersome process. This paper proposes an adaptive fault diagnosis model based on a one-dimensional convolutional neural network, and the structure and parameters of the model are analyzed and designed in de-tail. The segmented pre-processed vibration signal is fed directly into a convolutional neural network, where fault features can be extracted adaptively, and finally classify the diagnostic results using a Softmax classifier. This method directly processes the vibration signals in an end-to-end way, which im-proves the timeliness of diagnosis. The effectiveness of the method is verified through bearing experiments and compared with KNN, SVM, LSTM and AlexNet models. The results show that the model is accurate for fault diagnosis of bearings.

Abstract: Our work investigated the relationship between carbon dioxide emissions and economic development in 10 different countries from 2010 to 2019, using a panel data technique. The growth of the economy in different countries in-volves greater use of energy, which leads to more CO 2 emissions; hence pollution is intimately related to the growth of the economy and development. By applying the ECM analysis, we confirmed the long-run correlation between Gross Domestic Product and the emissions of CO 2 is positive, due to the sluggish adoption of new low-carbon policies, which makes it difficult to at-tain the same output level with lower carbon dioxide emissions in the long run. The short-run relationship between GDP and the emissions of CO 2 is negative, while coherent energy policies are due to help in accomplishing a quick development through more intensive energy consumption, yet our findings show that growth slows as carbon dioxide emissions rise.

Abstract: The disaster prevention function of urban parks plays a role in disaster prevention, refuge, rescue and reconstruction when the city is faced with disasters. Taking 32 urban parks with the function of disaster prevention and hedging in Yuhang District as the research object, the spatial layout of urban parks in the research area was analyzed by using the road traffic network accessibility and facility service area analysis tool of ArcGIS. The results showed that the distribution of urban parks in Yuhang district was concentrated in the east and south, and the number of urban parks in the northwest was small. Under the influence of traffic accessibility, the service domain of urban parks in northwest China is obviously smaller than that in eastern and southern China. Even within the service radius of urban parks, affected by the accessibility of traffic, there will be the situation that urban parks cannot be effectively covered. In view of the unreasonable layout of urban parks in Yuhang district, the following suggestions are put forward: the spatial layout of disaster prevention parks should be balanced layout considering accessibility factors; the space layout pattern of park green space nested with each other; Establish linkage mechanism of urban green space.

Abstract: This paper uses a multiple linear regression analysis to predict the final price of a house in a big real estate dataset. The data describes the sale of individual properties, various features, and details of each home in Ames, Iowa, USA from 2006 to 2010. The dataset comprises of 80 explanatory variables which include 23 nominal, 23 ordinal, 14 discrete, and 20 continuous variables. The goal was to use the training data to predict the sale prices of the houses in the testing data. The most important predictors were determined by random forest and kept in the analysis. The highly correlated predictors were dropped from the dataset. All assumptions of the linear regression were checked, and an optimal final predictive model was achieved by keeping the most influential predictors only. The model accuracy assessments produced very good results with an adjusted R-squared value of 0.9283, a residual standard error (RSE) of 0.094, and a root squared mean error (RSME) of 0.12792. In addition, the prediction error (Mean Squared Error, MSE) of the final model was found to be very small (12%) by applying different cross validation techniques, including the validation set approach, the K-fold approach and the Leave-One-Out-Cross Validation (LOOCV) approach. Results show that multiple linear regression can precisely predict the house prices with big dataset and large number of both categorical and numerical predictors.

Abstract: Long Covid, now also reported in children, has become increasingly alarm-ing. Perhaps a third of those who develop MIS-C go on to experience Long Covid. Etiology is elusive. The role of vitamin D in bone and immune health has been recognized but magnesium deficiency has escaped attention. A phy-siologic and biochemical argument for its culpability in Long Covid as well Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Epstein Barr Virus, and Cytome-galovirus is discussed.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the views of preschool general education teachers regarding the social, learning, and developmental benefits of inclusive education for both typically developing students and students with special educational needs. The present research was carried out through the conduct of the quantitative method and the use of the standard questionnaire. The research involved 60 teachers from 8 different structures of pre-school general education in the prefectures of Attica, Ioannina, Fokida, Heraklion, Lesvos, and Thessaloniki. The research questions were about the benefits of inclusive education for students with special educational needs, the consequences of inclusive education for students with special educational needs, the benefits of inclusive education for typically developing preschool students and the consequences of inclusive education for preschool students with special needs. According to the research results, all students studying in mixed educational settings seem to benefit in all the areas examined.

Abstract: The primary determinants of Covid severity are ACE genotype, the falciparum antigen (CD147), and vitamin D status. Specifically the I (insertion) and D (deletion) alleles, ACE polymorphisms determine the balance between the RAS (Renin Angiotensin System) and the KKS (Kallikrein Kinin System) in the response to SARS CoV2 (SARS2). CD147, the falciparum antigen, mediates the damage. Vitamin D modulates the immune response. The RAS and KKS connect Covid-19 to Kawasaki’s Disease (KD) and Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). Covid-19 pathogenesis is embroiled in a nature versus nurture debate, as it seems to target people of color, unless you live in sub Saharan Africa. There are only three plausible explanations for the latter and they have all been selectively ignored/suppressed by mainstream medicine. This article speaks to the genotypic nature of Covid-19. Angiotensin II, bradykinin, ACE2, ACE and its two polymorphic alleles play vital roles. They predict disease severity. They portend the ARDS variants. They portend extra pulmonary disease or not. The heavily glycosylated CD147 epitope on the spike protein S is key. It has been dismissed as non-existent by flawed studies. Yet its interaction with CD147 receptors on erythrocytes and T lymphocytes cannot be denied and is at the heart of the myocarditis conundrum. Using this key, multiple dots are connected and a red alert issued, whether Covid-19 or vaccine related. These include thrombosis, immune deficit, cancer progression, autoimmune disease, and ADE (Antibody Dependent Enhancement) for those at risk. In susceptible vaccinees its deleterious effects are accelerated. Assessment of this and preventative approaches are explored.

Abstract: This study aims to examine the extent of use of library electronic resources by postgraduate students at the University of Ghana Balme Library Research Commons to determine their level of awareness, the purpose of use, the training received, and the challenges of using the electronic resources. The target population was the postgraduate students who were using the Research Commons of the Balme Library during the study. A mixed-method was adopted for the study, questionnaires and interviews were the main in-struments used for data collection. The findings of the study revealed that the respondents mostly use electronic resources, especially the institutional repository (UGspace) as their first point of search for online journals. There was a high level of awareness of the electronic resources through library training programs and fresher’s orientations. The electronic resources were purposely used by the postgraduate students for their research, dissertation, assignment, and literature that support their studies. The major source of electronic resources training was the library. Some challenges such as many irrelevant search results, inability to identify the best resources, and too much time to identify resources were identified. It is recommended that information literacy skills training needs to be intensified to improve the usage of electronic resources.

Abstract: GDP is frequently used as a way of national evaluations, as well as a way of measuring economic progress. This paper analyses a combination of time series models that are both linear and non-linear in making forecast of Ghana’s GDP. Ghana’s GDP current prices data from 1980 to 2019 were used in the analysis. Based on the AIC values, the best model was determined to be ARIMA (2, 2, 2) in modeling our data, except that it is heteroscedastic. The combination with non-linear GARCH (1, 1) model is used to capture these variances over time. The diagnostics test further shows that the presented model is stable and quite reliable. The results of the study reveal that the GDP of Ghana will continue to increase for the next 10 years and this goes to show that the nation is moving forward.
