TL;DR: In this article, the authors conducted the correlation and analysis of wide/narrow azimuth surveying effects in view of wide-angle seismic data acquired in Junggar basin of the west China and taking the lighologic reservoirs as the explored targets.
Abstract: In recent years, the people has gradually had comprehensive knowledge of superiority of implementing wide azimuth survey but flinched from more expensive acquisition cost because of higher folds and smaller bin size for wide azimuth survey For that reason, through wide azimuth seismic data practically acquired in Junggar basin of the west China and taking the lighologic reservoirs as the explored targets, the paper conducted the correlation and analysis of wide/narrow azimuth surveying effects In studyings, we adopted processing techniques improving resolution in which the amplitude is strictly relative preserved and appreciated the ability of wide/narrow azimuth in exploring lithologic reservoirs on the basis of the difference of seismic attributes along the reservoirs The studied results showed that in view of lithologic seismic exploration, the wide azimuth (aspect is greater than 0 5) has better spatial imaging resolution than narrow azimuth while is unnecessary to keep high folds that are 60-80 folds being enough to meet exploration demand on lithologic exploration in conditions of the areas having flat beds (hinterland of basin) and seismic data having certain S/N ratio

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper discuss a few key methods for reservoir characterization and production improvement, which will pay an important role in shale gas EP in the future. But, the exploration and development in our country is still in the primary stage.
Abstract: As the needs of low carbon economics and the demands of clear energy keep increasing, shale gas exploration has greatly developed in recent years, especially in North America. With enormous potential reserves and bright prospect, shale gas exploration in China draws more attention of the industry. At present, the exploration and development in our country is still in the primary stage.Functions of exploration geophysics in the domains remain unclear. With analysis of requirements of geophysical technologies in shale gas EP,this paper discuss a few key methods for reservoir characterization and production improvement, which will pay an important role in shale gas EP in the future.

TL;DR: In this paper, the pickup technique of seismic attributes based on referential marker horizon and described in detail the pickup method of horizon attributes was applied to seismic data interpretation in Qian'anbei area of Songliao Basin to predict sedimentary facies and channel body.
Abstract: Study and application of seismic attributes is throughout the each link of seismic interpretation. Combination of seismic attributes with inversion technology is able to effectively improve the precision of oil/gas reservoir interpretation. The paper introduced the pickup technique of seismic attributes based on referential marker horizon and described in detail the pickup method of horizon attributes. The technology was applied to seismic data interpretation in Qian'anbei area of Songliao Basin to predict sedimentary facies and channel body as well as their distribution by correlation of different kinds of seismic sections, calibration of synthetic seismogram and analysis of seismic attributes and amplitude envelope. The resulted key maps gained by analyses and correlations showed the good application prospect of the method.

TL;DR: In this article, a spectral modeling deconvolution has better adaptivity for non-white noise reflection coefficient, with the method the better results can be obtained in the processing in which the residual wavelet was compressed so the resolution was raised.
Abstract: Compared with the routine deconvolution, the spectral modeling deconvolution has better adaptivity for non-white noise reflection coefficient, with the method the better results can be obtained in the processing in which the residual wavelet was compressed so the resolution was raised. However the method has following limitations:(1)The polynomial used in fitting limits the shape of the wavelet amplitude spectrum;(2)It does not consider the color characteristics of the reflection coefficient, the expected blue characteristic of the reflection coefficient amplitude spectrum was not seen in the deconvolution results. In order to compensate the defects,a new way to realize spectral modeling deconvolution was proposed in this paper:(1)Do not use polynomial fitting, regarding the amplitude spectrum of the seismic records as a real sequence,a filter was used to smooth the sequence so the wavelet amplitude spectrum could be estimated;(2)Considering the color characteristic of the reflection coefficient sequence, before modeling the wavelet amplitude spectrum, the color influence of the reflection coefficient sequence was compressed. The theoretical experiment and processing results for the field datasets show that the method is simple and easy to realize, with the method the wavelet amplitude spectrum can be accurately estimated, better deconvolution results can be obtained.

TL;DR: In this article, the velocity regularities of seismic waves in sandstone have been comprehensively analyzed by comprehensively analyzing previous authors' velocity results of P and S-waves in various rocks.
Abstract: This paper reports on the velocity regularities of seismic waves in sandstone that are emphatically studied by comprehensively analyzing previous authors' velocity results of P and S-waves in various rocks. The velocity regularities of P and S-waves in water-saturated and gas-saturated sandstones have been derived from the comprehensive analysis and study. They can be expressed as two parabolas and four empiric V{sub p}-V{sub s} formulas. It is pointed out that some researchers; linear fitting of velocity data is only applied to a particular area or a particular formation while the parabola formulas have wide adaptability. Four empiric formulas and the relevant figures in this paper favor AVO analysis, lithology regularity recognition in multiwave exploration, and the discovery of hydrocarbon accumulation area.
