TL;DR: The tetrahedral framework structure of zeolite beta is disordered along (001) planes as mentioned in this paper, and the disordered structure is related by a/3 and/or b/3 displacements on (1) planes to three ordered polytype structures with triclinic, monoclinic and tetragonal symmetry.
Abstract: The tetrahedral framework structure of zeolite beta is disordered along (001). The disordered structure is related by a/3 and/or b/3 displacements on (001) planes to three ordered polytype structures with triclinic, monoclinic, and tetragonal symmetry. Three mutually perpendicular 12-ring channel systems are characteristic of the three ordered polytypes and the disordered beta structure. The proposed framework structures are consistent with the known diffraction, sorption an cation exchange properties of zeolite beta.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the previously unreacted asphaltene was the fraction with the highest rate of thermal reaction but with the least extend of reaction, leading to the preferential conversion of the most associated asphatene to coke.
Abstract: Coke formation during the thermolysis of petroleum residua is postulated to occur by a mechanism that involve the liquid-liquid phase separation of reacted asphaltene to form a phase that is been in abstractable hydrogen. This mechanism provide the basis of a model that quantitatively describe the kinetics for the thermolysis of ColD Lake vacuum residuum and its deasphalted oil in a open fuse reactor at 400°C. The previously unreacted asphaltene were found to be the fraction with the highest rate of thermal reaction but with the least extend of reaction. Further evidence of the liquid-liquid phase separation was the observation of spherical particle of liquid crystalline coke and the preferential conversion of the most associated asphatene to coke

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the reduction rate of NO appears to be proportional to the partial pressure of NO, and the results can be expressed in terms of a rate constant (k) which is a function of temperature (T, Kelvin).
Abstract: Nitric oxide gas (NO) is effectively reduced by retorted oil shale. At 300/sup 0/C half of the NO in a gas stream is removed when the gas stream contacts a bed of crushed retorted oil shale for 0.4 s. The fraction removed in 0.4 s reaches 90% at a temperature of 375/sup 0/C. As long as the reducing agent, presumed to be char in the retorted shale, is not depleted, the rate of reduction of NO appears to be proportional to the partial pressure of NO, and our results can be expressed in terms of a rate constant (k) which is a function of temperature (T, Kelvin) as follows: k = Ae/sup -//sup E/RT/ (s/sup -1/), where A = 4.0 x 10/sup 5/ (s/sup -1/) and E = 59.7 kJ/mole. This rate is many times faster than the rate of reduction of NO by coal char as measured by Furusawa et al. (1983). The principal reduction reaction is unknown; it does not release CO/sub 2/.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors obtained kinetic data on a titania-supported catalyst under commercially-representative reaction conditions, and the effects of water partial pressure on the activity of Co/titania were also considered.
Abstract: The objective of this work was to obtain kinetic data on a well-characterized, titania-supported catalyst under commercially-representative reaction conditions. Effects of water partial pressure on the activity of Co/titania were also considered.

TL;DR: In this paper, the composition chimique and the maturation of huiles provenant du Bassin Adriatique have been investigated in order to find correlations entre the nature of hhiles and les roches meres.
