Abstract: For the thermochemical conversion of biomass fuels,fluidized-bed combustion technique of biomass has many special advantages.However,frequent agglomeration phenomenon of bed material takes place during the practical combustion application in fluidized-bed boilers,which influences the normal fluidizing state of boiler severely.The general situation of this phenomenon is introduced in this paper.Then the influencing factors and inherent characteristics are analyzed in lots of aspects,and the preventive measures are also proposed.

Abstract: Comprehensively utilization of the marginal land for energy crops and properly develop-ing high-yield energy crops could be an effective way for developing the alternative energy sources and for solving the problems stemmed from the fossil energy exhausting.Based on the nationwide investigation, this paper analyses the quantity and its regional distribution of different levels of wasteland which are suitable for energy exploitation, and also discusses the important exploitation areas.According to the grade and quantity of wasteland for energy exploitation,these exploitation areas were divided into eight different parts such as Wu-Ling Mountain Area, Southwest China Karst Area and Qin-Ba Mountain Area and etc.At last, proposed suggestions for the comprehensive exploitation and for the utilization of the was telands.

Abstract: The characteristics of wastes from breakfast,lunch and dinner were investigated and de-termined,including total solids(TS),volatile solids(VS),carbohydrate,protein,lipids,and inor-ganic salt concentrations.The digestibility of three kinds of kitchen wastes were tested in batch anaerobic digesters.The results showed that there were large differences between breakfast waste and lunch/dinner wastes,especially,the Na+,Ca2+ and Cl-contents in breakfast waste is higher than the other two.It was found that the characteristics of kitchen wastes influenced the biogas production performance and organic matter removal.The accumulative methane yield of breakfast waste,lunch waste and dinner waste were 212.2,331.6 and 362.4 ml/g VS,respectively.The biogas production from breakfast waste was 36% and 41.4% lower than lunch waste and dinner waste,re-spectively,which probably resulted from the high Cl-content in breakfast waste.
