TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the general concept of responsibility, ethical responsibility and social responsibility with special reference to the public health system and particularly to the Public Health System in Romania.
Abstract: The present text examines the general concept of responsibility, ethical responsibility and social responsibility with special reference to the public health system and particularly to the public health system in Romania. A central issue is the analysis of the individual ethical responsibility and the problematic of the way ethical responsibility may be extended also to the level of organizations understood as distinct entities required behaving ethically and socially responsible. The concept of social responsibility extrapolates from the social responsibility of corporations to the responsibility of all types of organizations, and especially of the state understood as an organization that acts ethically and responsibly in the global system

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a branch of the communication discipline that has as unique practical aim the communicational intervention, the practical, direct and strict application of communication research.
Abstract: The study starts from evidence that several communication acts fail, but nobody is called to intervene and nobody thinks of intervening. Examining different branches (specialties) of the communication discipline and focusing on four possible practices, by comparison, differentiation, collating and corroboration, the current study brings arguments for a branch of the communication discipline that has as unique practical aim the communicational intervention, the practical, direct and strict application of communication research. Communication, as discipline, must create an instrument of intervention. The discipline which studies communication globally (General Communication Science) has developed a strong component of theoretical and practical research of communication phenomena (Applied Communication Research), and within a niche theory (Grounded Practical Theory – Robert T. Craig & Karen Tracy, 1995) took incidentally into account the direct, practical application of communication research. We propose Practical Communication Intervention, as speciality of communication as an academic discipline. Practical Communication Intervention must be a field specialty in the universe of communication.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the AI intervention in detail and then explore differences in each site that may explain differences in level of change, including relations between teachers and principals, credibility of local change agents, passionate and engaged leadership, and linkage to pre-existing, shared concerns.
Abstract: Eight different sites in a large, Canadian urban school district engaged in an appreciative inquiry into “what do we know about learning”. Data collected over the following year indicate that four of the sites experienced transformational changes, two sites had incremental changes and two showed little or no change. This paper describes the AI intervention in detail and then explores differences in each site that may explain differences in level of change. The level of positive affect and ratings of success of the AI Summits at each site showed no meaningful relationship to change outcomes. Level of change did appear to be related to how generative the inquiries were, how well the Discovery phase was managed and the quality of Design statements that came out of the summits. Other factors exogenous to the design of the AI also appeared to play a role. These included relations between teachers and principals, credibility of local change agents, passionate and engaged leadership, and linkage to pre-existing, shared concerns. Recommendations for AI practice are given.

TL;DR: In this article, a mediation model for the relationship between emotional intelligence and life satisfaction for students was examined, where self-esteem and social support were used as mediators, and it was found that both selfesteem and Social support partially mediated the relationship of emotional intelligence with life satisfaction.
Abstract: This study examines a mediation model for the relationship between emotional intelligence and life satisfaction for students. Self-esteem and social support were used as mediators. The participants were 131 Romanian undergraduate students. Data were collected by using the Wong Law Emotional Intelligence Scale, the Multi-Dimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale, and the Satisfaction with Life Scale. Bootstrap analysis showed that both self-esteem and social support partially mediated the relationship between EI and life satisfaction. Implications for future research and limitations of the present findings are discussed.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors study the stage of social economy development taking into consideration three forms of social economies which are present in Romania: the cooperatives, the non-governmental organisations and the mutual aid organisations.
Abstract: During the past 20 years, social economy became a subject of interest because its organisations had to assume an increasing role in the production and supply of social goods and services of public interest. In Romania, although forms of social economy existed for a very long time in society, we can not speak of an institutionally or juridical determined area, with actual outputs. This study5 shows the stage of social economy development taking into consideration three forms of social economy which are present in Romania: the cooperatives, the non-governmental organisations and the mutual aid organisations. The three types of organisations have a low potential for social economy activities. There is no specific legislative framework which to encourage the development of social economy activities, while the availability of the public institutions to support the organisations addressing the vulnerable groups is very limited. The cases in which the three forms of social economy address directly the higher employment of the disadvantaged groups are rather isolated. As a general characteristic, except for the NGOs, the other types of social economy organisations address indirectly the disadvantaged groups, without any kind of coherent supply of services.
