Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of high dose estrogen in prognosis of moderate or serious intrauterine adhesion(IUA) and correlation between estrogen receptor with prognosis.Methods Sixty patients with serious or moderate IUA underwent hysteroscopic adhesiolysis.They were randomly divided into two groups,the study group: applying Estradiol valerate(progynova) 10 mg per os quaque die for 3 months;the control group: Estradiol valerate 10 mg per os quaque die for 21 days,provera 8 mg per os quaque die with the last 10 days as one period,and taking three periods.All patients came back to the hospital for hysteroscopy in one month and three months post operation.Results Follow-up period was 6 to 12 months.The effective power was 88.3%(53/60) for all patients who uterine cavity recovered normal in 3 months postoperatively,the study group was 90%(healing rate 46.7%,improvement rate 43.3%),the control group was 86.7%(healing rate 46.7%,improvement rate 40%) respectively(P0.05).The effective power was 76.7%(46/60) for all patients who menstrual returned to normal in 6 months postoperatively,the study group was 90%(healing rate 46.7%,improvement rate 43.3%),the control group was 63.3%(healing rate 23.3%,improvement rate 40%) respectively(P0.05).The result of hysteroscopy post operation had positive correlation with ER positive express rate(r=0.339,P0.01).Ten patients had gesration,pregnancy rate was 41.7%(10/24).Conclusions Patients with serious or moderate IUA treated with high dose Estradiol Valerate could reduce re-adhesion effectively,admitting had advantage continuously than periodically.As the expression of ER increasing,the prognosis of IUA got improved markedly.

Abstract: Objective To observe and evaluate the effects of epidermal growth factor on the nuclear translocation of CacyBP / SIP in colon cancer cells transfected by the over expressed lentivirus vector of CacyBP / SIP.Methods Lentiviral recombinant plasmid containing CacyBP / SIP was constructed and transfected into SW480 colon cancer cells,then the localization and expression changes of CacyBP / SIP protein in the cytoplasm and nuclei were observed,before and after the stimulation of 100 ng / mL epidermal growth factor with laser confocal microscopy and Western blot analysis.Results CacyBP / SIP were mainly localized and expressed in the cytoplasm before the stimulation of epidermal growth factor,and mainly localized and expressed in the cytoplasm and nucleus after the stimulation of epidermal growth factor of 1 h.Conclusion The stimulation of epidermal growth factor to the colon cancer cells transfected by over expressed lentivirus vector of CacyBP / SIP can cause the translocation of CacyBP / SIP from cytoplasm to the nucleus.

Abstract: Objective To study the protection of mogroside(Mog) on liver fibrosis in rats.Methods Rat liver fibrosis was induced by 40% CCL4 twice a week for 12 week.Mog was used daily since the 7th week.The effects of Mog on the activities of ALT and AST,the content of PⅢP,CⅣ in serum,the activities of SOD,the content of MDA in liver tissue was observed.The effect of Mog on TGF-β1 expression in liver tissue was observed and the histological changes of liver were detected.Results Mog could significantly reduce ALT,AST,MDA,HA,CⅣ and PⅢNP contents,increase the level of SOD.Meanwhile,Mog could effectively reduce the degree of hepatic fibrosis and prevent the expression of TGF-β1.Conclusion Mog has protective effect on liver fibrosis.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effects and mechanism of aesculetin on the proliferation of human hepatoma cell HepG2 in vitro.Methods The proliferation effects of different concentrations of aesculetin on HepG2 were observed by MTT assay.The apoptosis and mitochondrial membrance potential were analysed by flow cytomettry(FCM).The activities of Caspase 3,Caspase 8 and Caspase 9 were detected by spectrophotometry.The protein expressions of Bax,Bcl-2 and Caspase 9 were studied by immunofluorescence method.Results Aesculetin inhibited the proliferation of human hepatoma cell HepG2 and induced its apoptosis,and also reduced its mitochondrial membrane potential,enhanced the activities of Caspase 3 and Caspase 9 by reducing mitochondrial membrance in a dose dependent manner;While there was no significant effect on the activity of Caspase 8.Aesculetin promoted Bax protein expression at the same time lowered Bcl-2 protein expression also in a dose dependent manner.Conclusions Aesculetin can inhibit the proliferation of HepG2;the mechanism may induce its apoptosis through mitochondrial pathway in vitor.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the roles of protein kinase C(PKC) and K-ras protein in the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer.Methods Immunohistochemistry method was used to detect the PKC-a and K-ras protein expression in 76 colorectal adenocarcinoma(adenocarcinoma group),15 colorectal adenoma tissue(adenoma group) and 10 normal colorectal mucosa(normal group),their relationship and correlation with clinical pathological features of the tumor were analyzed.Western blot method was used to detect the PKC-a and K-ras protein expression level in 30 colorectal cancer tissues and 10 adjacent mucosa(away from the tumor 10 cm).Results The positive rate of PKC-a and K-ras in adenocarcinoma group was 35.5% and 68.4%,the former was significantly lower than that in normal mucosa,adenoma,while the later was on the opposite(all P0.05).PKC-a and K-ras expression in colorectal carcinoma were correlated with clinical pathologic grading,with the increase of pathological grading,PKC-a expression rate reduced gradually,K-ras expression elevated;expression of the two indexes were not correlated with gender,age,lymph node metastasis and Dukes stage(P0.05).PKC-a and K-ras protein expression was negatively correlated(r=-0.930).Conclusion PKC-a protein and K-ras protein are correlated with the development and progression of colorectal cancer.

Abstract: Objective To observe the effects of emodin in type 2 diabetic KKAy mice blood glucose,insulin levels and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3-K) signal transduction pathway.Methods 16 specific pathogen free(SPF) KKAy mice were divided randomly according to plasma glucose level into model group and treatment group,8 normal C57BL/6J mice were selected as normal group.Mice of normal group and model group were fed with 20 mL/(d · kg) of sterile water,treatment group were given 50 mg/kg emodin orally.8 weeks later,all animals were tested fasting plasma glucose(FPG),fasting insulin level for caculating insulin sensitivity index(ISI),total triacylglycerol(TG),total cholesterol(TC).The expression of IRS-1,PI3-K and Akt Ser473 in the musle tissue and adipose tissue were determined by Western blot.Results Compared with normal group,model group showed higher FBG,TG and TC,lower ISI(all P0.05),and lower expression of IRS-1,PI3-K and Akt Ser473 in the musle tissue and adipose tissue(all P0.05).Compared with model group,treatment group showed lower FBG,TG and TC higher ISI(all P0.05).The expression of IRS-1,PI3-K and Akt Ser473 in the musle tissue and adipose tissue of treatment group is up-regulated as compared with model group(all P0.05).Conclusion Emodin can increase the expression of IRS-1,PI3-K and Akt Ser473 in the musle tissue and adipose tissue,decrease FBG and improves insulin sensitivity of KKAy diabetic mice.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of liraglutide on the serum inflammatory markers in impaired glucose tolerance OLETF(IGT-OLETF) rats.Methods A total of 29 IGT-OLETF rats were randomly divided into four groups.They were treated with a single intraperitoneal injection of either saline vehicle(NS group,n = 8) or liraglutide(50 μg / kg group,n = 8;100 μg / kg group,n = 6;or 200 μg / kg group,n = 7;respectively) twice daily for 12 weeks.Eight LETO rats received saline vehicle intraperitoneal injection twice daily for 12 weeks and served as the normal control group.After 12-week intervention,blood glucose,islet cell function and insulin sensitivity(including: fasting blood glucose,insulin,insulin sensitivity index,insulin resistance index and islet beta cell function),and inflammatory markers(including: IL-6,high-sensitivity C-reactive protein,plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 and fibrinogen) were measured.Results Compared with the NS group,the blood glucose,islet cell function and insulin sensitivity were significantly improved and the serum inflammatory markers were significantly decreased in liraglutide-treated group(all P 0.05).Conclusions Liraglutide has anti-inflammatory effect,can improve islet cell function and insulin sensitivity,and decreases theserum inflammation markers in IGT-OLETF rats,which has the potential role to prevent diabetes and cardioascular disease.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the protective effect of ginsenoside Rg1 jointed BMSCs on ischemia and reperfusion injury in rats.Methods A total of 25 SD rats were divided into normal control group(group A),model group(group B),BMSCs treatment group(group C),ginsenoside Rg1 treatment group(group D),BMSCs and ginsenoside Rg1 combination therapy group(group E),each group 5 rats.Model of cerebral ischemia and reperfusion was established by the method of middle cerebral artery occlusion.Intraventricular transplantation was done after BrdU labeling BMSCs.After 4W,single-blinded neurological deficit scores was detected.The expressions of BrdU and NSE protein were detected by Nissl staining counted cortical neurons and immunohistochemical staining.Results There was no neurological deficit symptoms in Group A.Deep purple Nissl bodies can be seen in the cortical neurons of the cytoplasm.It showed a significant neurological deficit symptoms in group B.Nissl bodies were significantly reduced or even disappear.Compared with group B,the neuronal number in the group C,D,E increased,especially in group E.BrdU positive cells can be seen around the infarcted area in group C and E.Expressions of NSE in group C,D and E were higher than those in group B,especially in group E.Conclusion Ginsenoside Rg1 jointed BMSCs can promote the repair of cerebral ischemia and reperfusion injury.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression and correlation of Per 2 and PCNA in glioma,and the relationship in Per 2 and PCNA with clinicopathologic features.Method The expression of Per 2 and PCNA in 37 cases of gliomas and nontumor tissues was detected by immunohistochemical ABC method.Results The positive rate of Per 2 was lower,and PCNA was higher in glioma tissue than that in nontumor one(all P0.05).There was a negative correlation between the expression of Per 2 and PCNA in gliomas(r=-0.492,P0.05).Conclusions The Per 2 is lowely and the PCNA is higherly expressed in glioma tissue,and there is a negative correlation.The expression of Per 2 and PCNA may be a mechanism in occurrence and progression of gliomas.

Abstract: Objective To explore the new method and effect of perioperative steroid supplement for Cushing's syndromeMethods We adopted the new and brief method of endocrine therapy for 34 cases of Cushing's syndrome diagnosed before operationNo steroid was used before the operation,but during removal of adrenal adenoma,100 mg hydrocortisone should be given by intravenous injection,followed by 100 mg given every 12 hours on the afternoon of the operation day,then 100 mg every 12 hours,100 mg given on the next two days after operationOral prednisolone 10 mg three times daily from on the second day,followed by a reduction of 5 mg every one week until a maintenance dosage(5 mg) was reachedClinical symptoms were observed,meanwhile,the plasma and 24 h urine cortisol concentration were intermittently measured after operation to evaluate the new steroid supplementResults The acute adrenal hypofunction was not distinct in the perioperative period for all patientsCompared with preoperation,the 24 h urine cortisol concentration was significantly increased on the 1st and 2nd day after surgery(P005),but declined slightly on the 6th day(P005),and decreased on the 7th day(P005)The plasma cortisol concentration declined slightly on the 1st day after operation(P005),but it significantly decreased on the 2nd,6th and 7th day after surgery(P005)Conclusions This method of steroid supplement is brief,safe and effectiveIt is a kind of practical scheme for Cushing's syndrome

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the dose distribution between three dimensional conformal radiotherapy(3D-CRT) and intensity modulated radiotherapy(IMRT) in tumor target area and organs at risks.Methods Twenty patients with thoracic esophageal carcinoma underwent CT simulation.The IMRT plan and 3D-CRT plan were designed for each patient.The prescription dose in 95%of PTV volume was 60 Gy.PTV and organs at risk in 3-DCRT and IMRT plans were compared.Results Dose parameters of PTV50 of IMRT plan was superior than those of 3DCRT(P0.01).The volume parameters V100 of PTV50 of IMRT plan was higher than those of 3DCRT plan.Dose and volume parameters of PTV60 were similar between the 3DCRT plan and IMRT plan.The mean dose of PTV60 of IMRT plan was lower than that of 3DCRT plan(P0.01).The conformity indexes of PTV50 and PTV60 in the IMRT plan were higher than those in 3DCRT plan.The V5,V10,V15,V20 of the total lung in the IMRT plan were all lower than those in the 3D-CRT plan(P0.01).The maximum dose of spinal cord of IMRT plan was higher than that of 3D-CRT plan;the mean heart dose was similar.But the doses of spinal cord and heart were limited in tolerant range.Conclusion Considering the target conformal degree and target dose,IMRT is superior to 3D-CRT.Additionally,it can reduce the exposure dose of the lung.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the mechanism of Jianpijiedu herb reversing multidrug resistance gene of cancer of colon,and to provide a theoretical basis for treatment of colorectal cancer.Methods The drug serum of Jianpijiedu Herb was prepared with SD rats.HCT-8/V cells were cultured in vitro.HCT-8/V cells growth inhibition with 5%,10%,15% and 20% of the drug serum was measured by MTT method.Results Jianpijiedu herb inhibited HCT-8/V cell growth in a time-and dose-dependent manner.The inhibition of cell growth rates were significantly different with 20% of the drug serum of Jianpijiedu Herb and VCR by 24 h,48 h and 72 h(P0.01).The killing effect on tumor cells was significantly enhanced with prolongeel time.Conclusion Jianpijiedu herb might reverse multidrug resistance gene of cancer of colon in the control of related gene.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the antiviral activities of exopolysaccharide(EPS) from one kind of fungi strain PH0016 isolated from mangrove against HSV-1.Methods The EPS of strain PH0016 was identified and given analyses of ITS sequences;the toxicity and antiviral actions of EPS in vitro and vivo were observed.Results The strain was identified as Paecilomyces lilacinus.The EPS inhibited HSV-1 at the IC50 values of 195 μg/mL,and SI values of 11.45 in vitro.The survival time of the mice infected HSV-1 prolonged,and the survival rate increased,after the treatment of EPS.Conclusion The fungi strain PH0016 isolated from mangrove in Hainan province belongs to Paecilomyces lilacinus,the EPS from which has remarkable anti HSV-1 activity,this EPS con be utilized for the further research.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the changes of rat cerebral cortex blood flow(CBF)after acute severe traumatic brain injury(TBI) and the effects treated by taurine(Tau).Methods Forty SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group(group sham),brain trauma group(group TBI),Tau low dose group(100 mg/ kg),high dose of Tau group(200 mg/kg) equally.TBI models were made in left brain of rats by hydraulic shock,while sham group only opened bone window.Rats in group Tau were given Tau immediately after injury injected via tail vein;And group sham,group TBI was given the same amount of physiological saline.Laser doppler flowmetry was used to monitor the cerebral cortex CBF of each group in the time before trauma,30 min after injury and 24 h before puting to death.Results There was no statistical significance of CBF in each group before injury;CBF in group TBI was significantly lower than that in group sham on points 30 min or 24 h after injury(P0.05).The left brain: compared with TBI group,CBF in group Tau low dose showed no significant difference,whereas high dose of Tau group CBF significantly increased(P0.01);CBF on 24 h after injury was significantly higher than that on 30 min after injury in group Tau high or low dose(P0.05).The right brain: compared with group TBI,CBF in Tau low dose group was no significant difference on 30 min after injury,but increased obviously after 24 h(P0.05);CBF in Tau high dose group increased significantly on 30 min and 24 h after injury(P0.05);there was no statistical significance overall between group Tau high and low dose.Left and right brain: CBF TBI of left brain was significantly lower than that of right brain on 30 min after injury in all three groups,and there was no statistical significance between each group on 24 h after injury.Conclusions Tau treatment helps improve CBF after TBI,and its improvement is positively related to administration time,dosage.

Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between the expression of connective tissue growth factor(CTGF) and transforming growth factor-beta 1(TGF-β1) and the formation of intrauterine adhesion(IUA).Methods Fifty-nine women with moderate or severe IUA as the study group and forty-eight women with normal endometrium as the control group,all cases underwent hesteroscopic operation in Fuxing hospital.The expression of CTGF and TGF-β1 in the tissues of IUA and the normal endometrium were measured by immunohistochemistry method.The improvement of menstruation and recurrent adhesion were followed up.Results Positive expression of CTGF and TGF-β1 were found in the normal endometrium,the endometrium of IUA patients and the adhesive tissue with rates of 75.00% and 78.80%,80.60% and 82.20%,25.93% and 74.07%,respectively.The positive expression of CTGF and TGF-β1 in the secretory endometrium were higher than those in the proliferative endometrium.The average positive integral of CTGF and TGF-β1 in the endometrium of IUA patients were higher than those in the normal endometrium with significant difference(P0.01).The analysis of immunohistochemistry results in the endometrium of IUA patients showed positive correlation between the expression of CTGF and TGF-β1(r=0.452,P0.05).Conclusions The expression of CTGF and TGF-β1 are correlated with the occurrence and development of IUA.The expression of CTGF was correlated with that of TGF-β1 in the endometrium of IUA.

Abstract: Objective To evaluate percutaneous puncturing 125Ⅰ seeds implantation by using SPECT/CT guided target localization technique in treating central lung cancer complicated by obstructive pulmonary atelectasis.Methods A total of 35 patients with suspected central lung cancer complicated by obstructive pulmonary atelectasis on preoperative CT were enroll in this study.As no clear distinction existed between the tumor and the atelectatic consolidation shadow on CT scanning,an additional SPECT/CT scanning was adopted.After ascertaining the location of the lung cancer,percutaneous puncturing implantation of 125Ⅰ seeds under SPECT/CT guidance was performed.The clinical data and the therapeutic results were evaluated.The carcinoma was scanned by CT and compared with 6 months after treatment.All the patients were followed-up for 6 to 18 months.Results A sharp distinction between the tumor and the atelectatic consolidation shadow was demonstrated on SPECT/CT scans in 35 cases.The mean volume of the targeted lesion reckoned from SPECT/CT and CT scans were 64 cm3 and 112 cm3,respectively,and the 125Ⅰ seeds were implanted.Among the 35 followed-up cases,the complete and partial remission rate was 91.4%(32/35),and no major complications.Conclusion SPECT/CT scans is more accurate than CT alone in the determining the radiation target volume in patients with central lung cancer complicated by obstructive pulmonary atelectasis.

Abstract: Objective To testify the expression level of the miRNAs encoded by EBV in the nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell line C666-1 and the relationship between of EBV BART-15 and the EBV immediate early gene BZLF-1.Methods The miRNAs encoded by EBV were amplified by the poly-A tailed PCR.The expression level of BZLF-1 was determined by real-time PCR after the transient transfection of BART-15 inhibitor.Results The PCR results suggested that the expression level of the BHRF family of the encoded miRNAs by EBV is lower than the BART family in C666-1 cells.The transfection rate of C666-1 cells treated with BART-15 inhibitor was 77.0%,expression of BART-15 decreased by 87%.After the expression of BART-15 miRNA were inhibited,the expression level of BZLF-1 in C666-1 cells was up regulated,expression of BZLF-1 increased 2.54 times.Conclusions There are difference with expression of different families of EBV miRNAs in the NPC cell line C666-1.The BART-15 family may be role in BZLF-1 by direct or indirect way,and impact the infection status of EBV.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the diagnostic significance of mutated citrulline vimentin(MCV)antibodies in patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods ELISA was used to detect anti-MCV and anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide(CCP)antibodies in 68 RA patients(RA group),62 patients with other connect tissue disease(disease control group)and 129 healthy people(normal contro1 group),the sensitivity and specificity of RA diagnosed by anti-MCV and anti-CCP antibodies were calculated;serum C-reactive protein(CRP) level was detected by rate nephelometry,the RA patient's numbers of tenderness joints(TJC) and swelling joints(SJC) were counted,and the disease activity score-28(DAS28) was calculated,as well.The relationship between the above two antibodies and DAS28(also inculding CRP,TJC,SJC) was analyzed by Spearman′s rank correlation analysis.Results The levels of serum anti-MCV antibody,anti-CCP antibody and DAS28 in RA group were significantly higher than those in the disease and the normal control groups;the sensitivity of anti-MCV and anti-CCP antibodies for diagnosing RA were 88.2%(60/68),75.0%(51/68),P=0.026;the specificity were 97.3%(186/191),95.8%(183/191),P=0.548.The serum anti-MCV antibody level was positively related to anti-CCP antibody(r=0.826,P0.05);anti-MCV antibody was also significantly related to the RA activity indexes such as DAS28,CRP and SJC.Conclusions Anti-MCV antibody has high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of RA,and it can be used as a good new diagnostic marker.There is a relationship between anti-MCV antibody and the activity of RA,high level of the antibody may predict activity of RA.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the expression of chemokine receptor 7(CCR7)and adhesion molecule L-selectin in human colorectal carcinoma,and analyze their correlation with lymph node metastasis.Methods The expression of CCR7 and L-selectin were tested by immunohistochemical method in 63 cases of colorectal carcinoma specimens(colorectal carcinoma group),44 cases of normal intestinal mucosa adjacent to carcinoma(adjacent group) and 31 cases of metastatic tumor tissue(metastasis group).Results The positive rate of CCR7 and L-selectin expression in the colorectal carcinoma group and metastatic tumor tissue were significantly higher than that in adjacent group and metastasis group(P0.01);There was significantly positive dependability between expression of CCR7 and L-selectin(r=0.653,P0.01).The expression in the tissue with lymph node metastasis was significantly higher than that in the tissue without lymph node metastasis(P0.05).Conclusions The expression of CCR7 and L-selectin are closely associated with development and metastasis of the colorectal carcinoma.CCR7 and L-selectin maybe participate together in the carcinogenesis and lymph node metastasis of colorectal carcinoma.Detection of the two marker conduces to judge the patient's prognosis.

Abstract: Objective To explore the Maspin expression and its significance in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to assess the expression of Maspin in 99 cases of NSCLC,and the clinical pathological significance of Maspin expression was evaluated.Results The positive expression rate of Maspin in NSCLC was significantly lower than that in normal lung tissues(P0.05);Maspin expression showed a significant association with pathological type,histologic grade,lymph node metastasis and clinical stage(all P0.05).Cox regression analysis showed that Maspin negativity was an independent risk factor for survival.Conclusion Maspin protein play an important role in the invasion and metastasis of NSCLC,and the expression of Maspin can be used as a predictor of prognosis for NSCLC.

Abstract: Objective To evaluate the efficacy of the first radioiodine(131I) ablation of residual thyroid on differentiated thyroid carcinoma(DTC) after operation,and to analyze the influential factors for efficacy.Methods A total of 102 patients after the treatment of DTC were included,and stop to use thyroid hormone,After orally taking 100 ~ 120 mCi 131I ablation on an empty stomach for 3 to 5 days,thyroid hormone replacement therapy was taken,and then checking the rate of thyroid iodine uptake,and 131I thyroid imaging.Univariate analysis and binary Logistic regression analysis were performed to analyze the effects of gender,age,pathologic type,the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone(TSH),the level of thyrogloubulin(Tg) and rate of thyroid iodine uptake and 131I ablative dose on efficacy of thyroid remnant ablation.Results The clinical data from 102 patients were collected,among whom 37 cases(36.3%) achieved successful throid remnant ablation at first dose,but 65 cases did not.The treatment dose of 131I in patients with successful throid remnant ablation was lower than that of failed patients(P = 0.000).Univariate analysis revealed that the first used dose of 131I(P = 0.020).The level of TSH(P = 0.000) at the time of 131I therapy were influence factors of 131I successful ablation rate,and the low level of Tg accompany with the high treatment success rate(P = 0.000),while the patients’age(P = 0.119),sex(P = 0.315),histological subtype(P = 0.835),pre-treatment 131I uptake ratio of residual thyroid tissue(P = 0.375) had no evident influence on the first ablation result.Furthermore,binary Logistic regression analysis showed that the first used dose of 131I and the levels of TSH and Tg at the time of 131I therapy were influence factors of 131I successful ablation rate(P = 0.049,P = 0.014,P = 0.001).Conclusions The first used dose of 131I,the level of TSH and Tg at the time of 131I therapy were influence factors of 131I successful ablation rate.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of implanting slow-released 5-Fu during operation on early recurrence of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods One hundred patients with hepatocellular carcinoma undergoing hepatectomy were divided into two groups randomly.The observation group were implanted with slow-released 5-Fu on the liver sections and epiploon when the carcinomas were completely resected,while the patients in control group accepted hepatectomy alone.The serum level of alpha fetoprotein(AFP) 1 day before,1 month after the operation and the 1-year recurrence rate were compared between two groups.Results The serum levels of AFP after the operation were significantly lower than that before the operation in both groups,and which in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group,both P0.01.The 1-year recurrence rate was significant lower in observation group than that in control group,P0.05.Conclusions Implanting slow-released 5-flourouracil during hepatectomy can decrease the serum level of AFP and the early recurrence rate of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the cardioprotections and mechanism of taurine on experimental diabetes mellitus(DM) rats.Methods Thirty Wistar rats were randomly divided into control(CN)group,DM group and taurine(TAU) group with 10 in each,streptozocin(STZ) was administered to establish DM model in the latter two groups;Then taurine 300 mg/(kg·d) was given to rats in TAU group,the same volume of saline was given to rats in CN and DM group,which lasted for 8 weeks.Then the productions of MDA and NO,the activities of SOD and iNOS were examined in all rats.Myocardium apoptosis index(AI)was assessed by terminal deoxyribonucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP nick-end labeling assay.Results Compared with the CN group,productions of MDA and NO were increased significantly(P0.01 or 0.05),the activity of SOD was decreased(P0.01) and the activity of myocardium iNOS was increased significantly,myocardium apoptosis was potentized in DM group(P0.01);Compared with the DM group,productions of MDA and NO were decreased significantly(P0.05),the activity of SOD was increased(P0.05) and the activity of myocardium iNOS was decreased significantly(P0.05),myocardium apoptosis was also attenuated(P0.01) in TAU group.Conclusion Taurine can protect the experimental DM rats′ heart by decreasing the injury of oxidative stress and lessening myocardium apoptosis.
