TL;DR: In this paper, a complete assignment of the fundamental vibrational frequencies has been made based upon the normal coordinate analysis carried out using a simple Ureyi?½Bradley force field supplemented by the valence force constants for the out-of-plane vibrations of the planar molecular skeleton.

TL;DR: In this paper, the fundamental frequencies of oxazolidine-2-one (Oxo), -2-thione (Oxt) and their N-deuteriated derivatives have been assigned on the basis of normal coordinate calculations carried out using a Urey-Bradley potential function supplemented with valence type constants for the out-of-plane modes of the planar skeleton.

TL;DR: Two complexes formed from CuII acetate and thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid (4-TCA) have been prepared and characterized by magnetic and spectroscopic techniques.
Abstract: Two complexes formed from CuII acetate and thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid (4-TCA) and 2-amino-4-thiazoleethanoic acid (ATAA) have been prepared and characterized by magnetic and spectroscopic techniques. The influence of the nature of ligands and solvents upon CuII e.p.r. properties was investigated for these compounds, Spin-Hamiltonian parameters from these data enabled suggestions concerning the structure of these complexes and the binding ability of the ligands.

TL;DR: In this paper, the far-infrared spectra of 36 thiourea and ethylenethion-2-thione complexes, embracing several different stereochemical types, are assigned and discussed.
Abstract: The far-infrared spectra (70–400 cm.–1) of 36 thiourea and ethylenethiourea (imidazolidine-2-thione) complexes, embracing several different stereochemical types, are assigned and discussed. Metal–sulphur stretching frequencies, v(M–S), lie in the range 298–205 cm.–1 for the transition-metal complexes, and vary with co-ordination number and electron configuration in the manner now familiar from the behaviour of metal–hylogen stretching frequencies, v(M–X). For Group metals v(M–S) has been found as low as 170 cm.–1. The similarity between the spectra of thiourea complexes and those of thiocyanates has led to an assignment of the published data for thiocyanates. Some interesting variations in halogen-sensitive vibrations have been encountered.

TL;DR: Cobalt(II) halide complexes [CoX2•2L] (X = Cl, Br, I and L = 2-thiazolidinethione) and [CoL4] (ClO4)2 have been prepared and infrared spectral study suggests that the probable site of bonding in the ligand is nitrogen as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: Cobalt(II) halide complexes [CoX2•2L] (X = Cl, Br, I and L = 2-thiazolidinethione) and [CoL4] (ClO4)2 have been prepared The infrared spectral study suggests that the probable site of bonding in the ligand is nitrogen The results of electronic spectral study and magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate that the complexes are tetrahedral in structure The various ligand field parameters Dq, B′, and β show about 80% covalency in the complexes and suggest a weak ligand field
