Journal ArticleDOI

Atomic resonance fluorescence and mass spectrometry for measurements of the rate constants for elementary reactions: O 3PJ+ NO2→ NO + O2 and NO + O3→ NO2+ O2

TL;DR: In this article, the rate constants k1 and k2 were determined in two independent discharge flow systems, one using atomic resonance fluorescence and the other using mass spectrometry, under pseudo first-order kinetic conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetics of the O + O3 Reaction

TL;DR: In this paper, the gas phase reaction O+O3 → 2O2 was studied directly in a flow system under conditions of excess ozone, with O atoms produced by thermal decomposition of Ar-O3 mixtures on a Nernst glower, and measurement of the spatial O atom decay by O+NO chemiluminescence with small variable NO additions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photochemistry of the gaseous hydrogen peroxide-carbon monoxide system: Rate constants for hydroxyl radical reactions with hydrogen peroxide and isobutane by competitive kinetics

TL;DR: In this article, the reaction between hydrogen peroxide and carbon monoxide initiated by absorption of 254 nm light at 298 K in a static system has been studied and the rate constant ratio was found to be kH2O/kH2 = 3.0 ± 1.0.
