Journal ArticleDOI
Hypoglycemic and β-cells regenerative effects of Aegle marmelos (L.) Corr. bark extract in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats.
TL;DR: Findings suggest that A. marmelos bark extract has the therapeutic potential in STZ-induced hyperglycemia; hence it can be used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protective Effect of Sesbania grandiflora Against Erythromycin Estolate-Induced Hepatotoxicity
TL;DR: The results of the study reveal that sesbania could afford a significant protective effect against erythromycin estolate-induced hepatotoxicity and was compared with that of silymarin, a reference hepatoprotective drug.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and pharmacological evaluation of condensed heterocyclic 6-substituted-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives of naproxen.
TL;DR: Several 6-substituted-1,2,4-triazolo derivatives showed significant activity and very low ulcerogenic index was observed for potent compounds.
Journal ArticleDOI
Deleterious effects of wastewater on the health status of fish: A field caging study
Jimena Cazenave,Jimena Cazenave,Carla Bacchetta,Andrea Silvana Rossi,Andrea Silvana Rossi,Analía Ale,Mirta Claudia Campana,Maria Julieta E. Parma,Maria Julieta E. Parma +8 more
TL;DR: It was showed that fish caged at the effluent showed a differential physiologic profile, suggesting a strong impact on fish health, and biomarkers allied to a caging strategy are recommended for future environmental monitoring assessments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hepatoprotective effect of tectoridin and tectorigenin on tert-butyl hyperoxide-induced liver injury.
TL;DR: Tectorigenin protected against the cytotoxicity of HepG2 cells induced by t-BHP and may have originated from the inhibition of apoptosis, which is much more potent than that of a commercially available dimethyl diphenyl bicarboxylate.
