Journal ArticleDOI
Delineation of the role of metabolism in the hepatotoxicity of trichloroethylene and perchloroethylene: a dose-effect study.
TL;DR: The relationship among dose, metabolism and hepatotoxicity in mice which resulted from subchronic exposure to the chlorinated solvents trichloroethylene and perchloroethylenes were examined and pattern is consistent with formation of the toxic intermediate in the primary metabolic pathway of each compound.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kupffer cells are responsible for liver cirrhosis induced by carbon tetrachloride
Pablo Muriel,Yesenia Escobar +1 more
TL;DR: The present results suggest that Kupffer cells are needed for the production of CCl4‐induced cirrhosis, because their inactivation with GdCl3 prevents the disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Radioprotective effect of silymarin against radiation induced hepatotoxicity.
TL;DR: The radioprotective effect of silymarin using different modes of treatment against radiation (3 or 6 Gy) induced hepatotoxicity 1, 3 and 7 days post-irradiation was studied and it was attributed to its antioxidant and free radicals scavenging properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Serum enzyme changes as evidence of liver reaction to oral alcohol.

Journal ArticleDOI
Biochemical and subcellular changes in carp exposed to the organophosphorus methidathion and the pyrethroid deltamethrin
TL;DR: The observed changes in AChE indicate how serious the neuronal damage is, while the other parameters relate to the stressed state of the fish.
