The material upon which this study is based was collected in the states of Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin, and consisted entirely of avian parasites. The laboratory work was executed mainly at the Institut de Zoologie of the Universite de Neuchatel (Switzerland). We take this opportunity to thank Dr. Jean G. Baer for making available to us his material and working space. Fourteen species have been identified, of which 7 are new:read more

A list of the parasitic protozoa, helminths and arthropoda recorded from species of the family Anatidae (ducks, geese and swans).
TL;DR: The following list, compiled during my tenure of a grant given by the Nuffield Foundation to the Wildfowl Trust, Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, records species of Protozoa, helminths and Arthropoda found in anatid birds, either by the authors of the papers listed in the References, or by others to whose work these authors refer.

Validity of the Diplostomoidea and Diplostomida (Digenea, Platyhelminthes) upheld in phylogenomic analysis.

TL;DR: Both ultra-conserved genomic elements and mt genomes support the monophyly of the Diplostomoidea and show congruent relationships within it, and Morphological traits of diplostomoid metacercariae appear to be more useful for differentiating clades than those of adults.

Species of Apatemon Szidat, 1928 and Australapatemon Sudarikov, 1959 (Trematoda: Strigeidae) from New Zealand: linking and characterising life cycle stages with morphology and molecules.
TL;DR: The status of Apatemon and Australapatemon as distinct genera is confirmed based on their respective monophyly, and genetic divergence between them is comparable to other well-established genera in the Strigeidae.
Journal ArticleDOI
Morphological description and molecular analyses of Tylodelphys sp. (Trematoda: Diplostomidae) newly recorded from the freshwater fish Gobiomorphus cotidianus (common bully) in New Zealand
TL;DR: Morphological and molecular results together support the distinct species status of Tylodephys sp.

Three New Species of Holostomidae
TL;DR: Leidy (1856) and Stiles and Hassall (1894:248) reported the occurrence of Strigea (Holostomum) cornu Nitzsch, a European species from the intestine of Ardea herodias.
