Abstract: This paper aims to understand the ways of appropriation and use of digital media in the academic practices of university students. With a qualitative approach, an exploratory form and characteristics of the intervention research, the search was made with a group of 41 students of the Pedagogy course that participated in a didactic proposal of developing an active and autonomous position in the search for scientific knowledge. Distributed cognition theory was taken as a unit of analysis of the data collected through participant observation, dialogues in social networks and documentary analysis of the productions in the collaborative environments and treated from the perspective of content analysis. The data show that young people have appropriated digital media in different ways and for different purposes. Thus, two main categories emerged: as a mediator in conceptual formation through dialogue, cognitive confrontation and sharing and as a tool for the joint construction of meanings through intellectual partnership, collaboration and mutual aid. The study also emphasizes that when experiencing challenging and differentiated experiences with digital media, students appropriate these media as mediators of the training processes, and this benefits conceptual training at the university.

Abstract: Este artigo apresenta o relato de experiencia do uso do SCALA - Sistema de Comunicacao Alternativa para Letramento de pessoas com Autismo, no modulo narrativas visuais, com uma turma de inclusao da Educacao Infantil de uma escola da rede privada de ensino de Porto Alegre. O aluno incluido tem autismo e deficits na comunicacao oral, razao pela qual realiza-se um estudo teorico em torno do Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) e da Comunicacao Alternativa (CA), com diferenciadas pesquisas de autores que aglutinaram as duas areas em prol do desenvolvimento de individuos com autismo. Na sequencia apresenta-se a tecnologia assistiva SCALA. A metodologia utilizada tem embasamento socio-historico, com uso de acoes mediadoras utilizadas na turma de inclusao do aluno com TEA, com o recurso de CA, Scala, no modulo narrativas visuais. Obteve-se como resultados a interacao, entusiasmo e satisfacao nao so do aluno com TEA mas de toda turma, comprovando-se o sistema como efetiva ferramenta de apoio a comunicacao.

Abstract: A educacao escolar deve ser concebida como uma pratica social, que possui um papel especifico atribuido pela sociedade: a socializacao do saber sistematizado. Contudo, a realizacao efetiva desta importante tarefa e questionavel, na medida que se verifica na escola a existencia de acoes que ao inves de oferecerem ao aluno um ensino de qualidade, promove preconceitos e reforcam desigualdades. Estas caracteristicas que podem ser observadas nao so nos indices de reprovacoes e na evasao escolar, mas tambem na formacao inadequada dos alunos, comprometem um dos objetivos da educacao: a formacao do cidadao critico. Com efeito, embora, nao seja este, o unico objetivo da educacao, uma vez que esta nao esta imune aos conflitos e interesses dos diferentes segmentos sociais, entende-se que se torna necessario buscar caminhos para uma educacao voltada a transformacao social, ou seja, a superacao desta sociedade desigual. E fato que a educacao escolar sozinha, nao e "o remedio" para as mazelas da sociedade, mas nao se pode negar a contribuicao fundamental que esta pode oferecer aqueles individuos desprovidos materialmente, que representam a maior parcela da populacao, se cumprir o seu papel social e garantir a todos um ensino de qualidade que resulte numa aprendizagem significativa e solida dos conhecimentos produzidos historicamente pela sociedade. Para tanto, e necessario que haja uma preocupacao do educador com relacao ao processo de ensino-aprendizagem, que nao pode ser mecânico, mas uma acao reciproca que envolva o contexto social escolar e nao somente o interior da sala de aula.

This is a project that happens through an association among a college study and research group and public schools, in the perspective of Teaching Oriented Activity (Atividade Orientadora de Ensino - AOE) (MOURA, 1996). The objective of the work is to appease considerations about the appropriation of the concept of scoring by assembly within a dynamics that has as the fundamental base the sharing acts. The activity related in this article embraces three moments from AOE – the historical synthesis of the concept – through the guiding and actions that involved the children in the construction of the scoring by assembly concept and in the collective resolution of a problem presented from a dramatization. Among other aspects, it was possible to notice that the sharing of the actions was important for the process so that it could collaborate on the appropriation of the concepts by the students and also for the formation of the teachers and training teachers involved in the process. It is emphasized the importance of teaching situations that are intentionally organized by the teacher to be established as learning problems to allow a general organization of actions, giving a chance to understand concepts.
