TL;DR: Conclusions taken from managing such a course regarding technology requirements, financial results and market possibilities are presented and aim at helping institutions willing to invest on similar web-based learning projects.
Abstract: This article presents a managerial experience with a web-based course on data base technology for enterprise management. The course has been developed and managed by a Department of Industrial Engineering in Brazil in a Public University. Project’s managerial experiences are described covering its conception stage where the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) was designed until the present moment with student’s enrolment and instructional activities. Managerial challenges related to carrying out the web-based course are discussed in this article and involve tasks such as advertising efforts to enroll new students, interaction with the web-environment, learning evaluation from instructional contents and customer satisfaction with the learning outcomes. Conclusions taken from managing such a course are presented regarding technology requirements, financial results and market possibilities are presented and aim at helping institutions willing to invest on similar web-based learning projects.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss some of these theories, with particular emphasis on the psychological theories that related to the game development and learning in children and seek to understand their value as well as how teachers use them in the classroom.
Abstract: This work has as main objetive to understand the perspetive of teachers on leisure activities (play and play) in the educational context of the first cycle and possible points of convergence and divergence between these perspetives with regard to its application in the process of teaching disabled children. The game is already a much debated topic in the field of Education. It is indeed inseparable from its history and its numerous explanatory theories and extensive debate about its educational value. Educators and psychologists have come to bring this issue an important contribution but there is still insufficient studies of its application in the area. In this dissertation we discuss some of these theories, with particular emphasis on the psychological theories that related to the game development and learning in children. This work focuses on the study of perception that teachers and educators have recreational activities in the context of classes with disabled children and seeks to understand their value as well as how teachers use them in the classroom. TL;DR: In this article, a didactic sequence for teaching diffraction and interference of light on an enquiry-based approach is presented, which is developed upon a Vygotskian perspective, favoring the interaction between the actors in the process, contributing to a meaningful learning.
Abstract: This paper describes the production and the development of a proposal for a didactic sequence for teaching diffraction and interference of light on an enquiry-based approach. Its main feature is the adaptation of the methodology Interactive Lecture Demonstrations (ILD), in order to engage students in active inquiry. Unlike other approaches, this proposal consists of a methodological innovation by focusing the didactic transposition in the conceptual evolution of the students during the process of teaching and learning. It is developed upon a Vygotskian perspective, favoring the interaction between the actors in the process, contributing to a meaningful learning. A simple experimental apparatus was developed using a laser diode. The apparatus allows the observation of light diffraction by a hair. By means of the construction of a "cognitive conflict", the didactic sequence induces the discussion of the concepts involved in this curricular topic, without losing sight of the context and its application beyond the school environment. It was used an applet of the PhET Physics Education Technology Project, in order to introduce the basics of waves and interference. The aim of the didactic sequence is the conceptual and experimental construction of the representation of light as a wave phenomenon. The theme is relevant, opening up possibilities for the introduction of modern physics topics in high school. It is a flexible sequence and it is easily adaptable to the reality of the school community. The proposal was applied on a secundary school and the analysis was done through research of students’ answers to the questionnaire of the didactic sequence, direct observation of the student behavior during the activity, audio records and field diary and a quantitative analysis of the perception of students through an evaluation test of the didactic sequence.
