TLDR
A new double sampling monitoring scheme, namely, the side-sensitive DS chart, to monitor the process mean is developed, and it was observed that the proposed chart presents a better overall performance than the existing DS chart.
Abstract
This paper develops a new double sampling (DS) monitoring scheme, namely, the side-sensitive DS X¯ chart, to monitor the process mean. The operational procedure is presented first followed by the e...

A side-sensitive double sampling X¯ monitoring scheme with estimated process parameters

TL;DR: In statistical process monitoring (SPM), most of the monitoring schemes are designed assuming that the process parameters for the underlying distribution are known (i.e., Case K) as mentioned in this paper.

Multivariate cumulative sum control chart and measure of process capability based on bivariate ranked set schemes

TL;DR: Results reveal that performance of proposed control chart based on bivariate ranked set schemes depends on the choice of the factors such as sampling scheme, sample size, magnitude of association between concomitant variable and study variables, and size of the shift.

A new double sampling scheme to monitor the process mean of autocorrelated observations using an AR(1) model with a skip sampling strategy

TL;DR: A side-sensitive double sampling (SSDS) scheme to monitor the mean of autocorrelated observations using a first-order autoregressive model is proposed and yields a run-length distribution that has uniformly better average run- length (ARL) and expected ARL values as compared to the existing non-side- sensitive double sampling scheme.

Combined effect of autocorrelation and measurement errors on the adaptive X¯ monitoring schemes:

TL;DR: It is shown that the combination of the two sampling strategies with the VSSI design reduces this negative effect considerably and improves the detection ability of the X ¯ scheme by a significant margin as compared with using the fixed sample size and sampling interval (FSSI), VSS and VSI designs.

X̄ charts with variable sample size

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the properties of the X chart when the size of each sample depends on what is observed in the preceding hours and the usual practice in using a control chart to monitor a process is to take samples of size n from the process every h hours.

Weaknesses of The Economic Design of Control Charts

William H. Woodall
- 01 Nov 1986 -
TL;DR: The Weaknesses of the Economic Design of Control Charts as mentioned in this paper, a survey of the economic design of control charts, is a good starting point for this paper. But it is incomplete.

Double sampling X charts

TL;DR: In this article, the double sampling X chart is proposed, which is the counterpart to double sampling plans, which offers better statistical efficiency (in terms of statistical efficiency) than double sampling plan.

Double Sampling X̅ Charts

TL;DR: The purpose of this paper is to propose a new control chart, the double sampling X chart, which is the counterpart to double sampling plans, which offers better statistical efficiency.
