A standalone data logger for fibre optic vibration measurement system using Beaglebone

Abstract: The task of monitoring the machine vibration is a challenge in the current industrial scenario. The precision and the monitoring technology confront the state-of-the-art in mechanical vibration. To monitor the number of vibrations a complete functional performance model is to be provided. The number of vibrations generates a PWM signal which is acquired through Beaglebone Black and is logged over for a period of time. Logging into a database uses the visual programming language. more

Abstract: A business associate in an organization may represent fraud as a series of disappointing business practices to help individuals. Therefore, it is an act to mask the other by covering real facts and presenting fake information and statements. Online manipulation is the biggest field that has been opened up. Online fraud has been more widespread as technical innovation coupled with internet penetration and resulting improvements have arisen. In terms of internet sales and valuation, e-commerce development is expressed. During the eight-year duration from 2008 to 2014, the overall volume of the trade rose from $268 billion to $ 1.5 trillion. The study carried out the quantitative approach in a questionnaire distribution across a given number of data collection respondents and has shown that financial crime and its success contribute directly. The findings indicated that the greater the fraud, the poorer the bank's performance, the more the online fraud appears to impact the financial performance of banks adversely. more

Abstract: Blockchain is the prominent security that provides more security to critical information. Blockchain provides a shared, immutable and transparent history for all the transactions built with the help of Blockchain technology that has trust, account and transparency. Blockchain technology is used to protect data and gives reliability. An AES algorithm is used to encrypt the data. The aim of the paper is that to provide better communication between the patients and doctors to share their opinion and viewpoint on different kinds of problems and put the patients in control according to their clinical data, providing them with the legal rights to share the data, the clear, understandable version of their data with the medical network of every organization, if needed. more

Abstract: All companies aspire to compete against their rivals, retain a strategic edge in the industry, gain the largest market share and be inspired to bring out their utmost to achieve their desired goals at work. Few businesses think they will gain growth and wealth by important assets for their workers. Unfortunately, most companies appear to exploit the dismissal of their workers and talented applicants. Recognizing the critical position of workers appears to have a major effect on operational performance as most companies aim to maintain staff by empowering and enhancing the working standards of their employees. Therefore, it is necessary to enforce certain techniques to retain high quality and ensure performance and efficiency. The research examined the influence of organizational participation and encouragement in banks' work results. A study of 100 participants was tested, and findings were evaluated using the chi-square analysis. The findings revealed a substantial level below 5% which indicates that the study variables are closely linked. The quantitative approach and qualitative framework have been used to analyze their perception of the effects of job retention on the success of workers. Approach a single case study for various branches by implementing a similar case study and addressing a larger number of samples. This allows the researcher to remove the survey challenge and hold evidence from a larger community with a deeper comprehension of the idea of encouragement and how it influences workers' output. more

Abstract: The system proposed in this paper aims at monitoring the torque and efficiency in induction motors in real time by employing wireless sensor networks (WSNs). An embedded system is employed for acquiring electrical signals from the motor in a noninvasive manner, and then performing local processing for torque and efficiency estimation. The values calculated by the embedded system are transmitted to a monitoring unit through an IEEE 802.15.4-based WSN. At the base unit, various motors can be monitored in real time. An experimental study was conducted for observing the relationship between the WSN performance and the spectral occupancy at the operating environment. This study demonstrated that the use of intelligent nodes, with local processing capability, is essential for this type of application. The embedded system was deployed on a workbench, and studies were conducted to analyze torque and system efficiency. more

Abstract: An intensity-based fiber-optic liquid-level gauge for continuous measurement is described. The sensing principle is based on the total internal reflection of light within the fiber optic, and for this, a measurement is made of the power attenuation which occurs in the fiber optic immersed in the liquid tank when the liquid level varies. The light from a LED is modulated before being directed into the fiber to minimize measurement errors. The device contains an alarm programmable to signal any liquid level in the tank (high or low), and data can be sent via Internet in real time to a distant point. more

Abstract: We present a monitoring system for the field test of photovoltaic modules. The system is designed for the monitoring of individual modules under maximum power point (MPP) conditions that allow the extraction of the energy yield of different modules under optimum conditions. It can also be used to monitor the performance and long-term stability of modules under realistic field conditions. The monitoring system consists of an individual MPP tracker attached to each module under test. The measurement data are transmitted to a central multichannel data logger by means of analog voltages proportional to the current at MPP, i.e., Imp, and voltage at MPP, i.e., Vmp, of the modules. more

Abstract: This paper presents design details of SEAL, a general-purpose low-cost spatial-temporal data logger. The SEAL module includes GPS, Lithium-ion polymer battery, high-density flash memory and a USB interface. The main features include: low cost, very large size XML-based data logs, low power consumption, flexible sensor attachment, and an optional Wi-Fi interface for Internet-enabled data. It is compact, self-contained and light-weight-suitable for a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) payload. In fact, our general-purpose SEAL module can turn any mobility platform into a mobile sensor. For example, we have interfaced CO2 and NH3 sensors with a SEAL module and attached the pack to a car which can be driven to map the CO2 and NH3 in a region of interest. The XML-based data logs allow interoperable post-processing in every modern computer operating system and display in desktop mapping applications such as Google Earth and NASA WorldWind. more
