TL;DR: In this article , an accelerometer was used on the rider's head to detect head tilt and prevent motorcyclists from drowning during a motorcycle ride, which is called accelerometer accelerometer detector.
Abstract: The purpose of the project is to develop a device that can detect and prevent motorcyclists from drowning during a motorcycle ride. The idea of building the project is because the rate of accidents for motorcyclists every year is very high. Additionally, safety issue issues for motorcyclists are less than advanced technology on wheeled vehicles. This device is designed by using the sensor input on the rider's head to detect head tilt; it was called an accelerometer. One of the drowsiness and sleepy symptoms is head drooping or lose muscle tone. The project is divided into two parts, namely the detector circuit and the operating control circuit. The detector circuit is to detect the inclination of the head by using an accelerometer detector. It will transmit data to the control circuit which will release the vibration and sound output as it prevents drowsiness and warns users. Next, the project uses Arduino Nano microcontrollers to control the detector circuit and the control circuit. Between the two circuits, it is connected to the wireless transmission medium which is Bluetooth. The development process used is based on a waterfall model which contains five phases namely analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. Three types of analysis have been done which are engineering analysis, expert analysis and user analysis. First, the circuit analysis is performed on the output of the voltage in the vibration motor and the buzzer using the oscilloscope. Second, expert analysis is done based on the design and functionality of the product. As the result, it is shown that the average level for the result stated in good level. Third, the analysis of users who give feedback from the five users that used the product. Overall, this project has achieved its objectives, and it works fine.

TL;DR: The wireless transfer system proposed in this study was experimentally verified for practical application in a structural health monitoring system and yielded almost identical values at a tilt angle greater than 1°.
Abstract: This paper proposes a wireless inclinometer sensor node for structural health monitoring (SHM) that can be applied to civil engineering and building structures subjected to various loadings The inclinometer used in this study employs a method for calculating the tilt based on the difference between the static acceleration and the acceleration due to gravity, using a micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS)-based accelerometer A wireless sensor node was developed through which tilt measurement data are wirelessly transmitted to a monitoring server This node consists of a slave node that uses a short-distance wireless communication system (RF 24 GHz) and a master node that uses a long-distance telecommunication system (code division multiple access—CDMA) The communication distance limitation, which is recognized as an important issue in wireless monitoring systems, has been resolved via these two wireless communication components The reliability of the proposed wireless inclinometer sensor node was verified experimentally by comparing the values measured by the inclinometer and subsequently transferred to the monitoring server via wired and wireless transfer methods to permit a performance evaluation of the wireless communication sensor nodes The experimental results indicated that the two systems (wired and wireless transfer systems) yielded almost identical values at a tilt angle greater than 1°, and a uniform difference was observed at a tilt angle less than 042° (approximately 00032° corresponding to 076% of the tilt angle, 042°) regardless of the tilt size This result was deemed to be within the allowable range of measurement error in SHM Thus, the wireless transfer system proposed in this study was experimentally verified for practical application in a structural health monitoring system

TL;DR: The design and development of a Multi Model PI Controller (MMPIC) using classical controller tuning techniques for a single spherical nonlinear tank system and comparision of the results of PI tuning methods used for an MMPI Controller are described.
Abstract: In this paper a real time Single Spherical Tank Liquid Level System (SSTLLS) has been chosen for investigation. This paper describes the design and development of a Multi Model PI Controller (MMPIC) using classical controller tuning techniques for a single spherical nonlinear tank system. System identification of these different regions of nonlinear process are done using black box modeling, which is identified to be nonlinear and approximated to be a First Order Plus Dead Time (FOPDT) model. A proportional and integral controller is designed using LabVIEW and Chen-Hrones-Reswick (CHR), Zhuang-Atherton (ZA), and Skogestad’s Internal Model Controller (SIMC) tuning methods are implemented in real time. The paper provides the details about the data acquisition unit, shows the implementation of the controller, and comparision of the results of PI tuning methods used for an MMPI Controller.

TL;DR: A straightforward, proficient and propelled framework for ending of vehicles with the help Internet of things (IoT) that makes straightforward catch of persons who deregulates the traffic signals and also sends the area of vehicle with the assistance of GPS module for taking after.
Abstract: Background/Objectives: As the quantity of urban vehicles develops rapidly comes about development of traffic, the deregulation of traffic signs has turned into a common sympathy toward all police furthermore it prompts the mishaps close to the activity signals. Lately the halting of vehicle is finished with the assistance of the GSM module and by versatile Apps by sending a control sign to the vehicle and stops the vehicle. These frameworks are very little effective in light of the fact that the scope of the sign is so less and the sign send by the GSM module relies on upon the signal to the GSM module. Methods/Statistical analysis: Our exploration introduces a straightforward, proficient and propelled framework for ending of vehicles with the help Internet of things (IoT). The system happens in a way that the individual who deregulates the activity flags his/her vehicle enlistment number is entered into the database manually, then an exceptional code which is as of now present in the database is sent to the vehicle through the IOT and it ends the vehicle by blocking the throttle valve, the correspondence process happened in this procedure is Internet to vehicle (I to V). Findings: This system makes straightforward catch of persons who deregulates the traffic signals and also sends the area of vehicle (where it is halted) with the assistance of GPS module for taking after (Where the vehicle is stopped). Improvements/Applications: The present work can be developed with the integration of a mobile application interface. It would serve many automotive safety needs if launched along with the CAN and LIN bus technologies.

TL;DR: The Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) and Health Belief Model (HBM) were used in predicting the behavioral intention toward proper helmet usage among motorcyclist and the good-of-fit models were used for interpreting the implication of intervention strategy toward motorcyclists injury prevention program.
Abstract: In Malaysia, according to road accidents data statistics motorcycle users contributes more than 50% of fatalities in traffic accidents, and the major cause due to head injuries. One strategy that can be used to reduce the severity of head injuries is by proper usage of helmet. Although the safety helmet is the best protective equipment to prevents head injury, majority motorcycle user did not use or did not fasten properly. In understanding this problem, the behavioral sciences theory and engineering aspect are needed to provide better explanation and comprehensive insights into solutions. The Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) and Health Belief Model (HBM) were used in predicting the behavioral intention toward proper helmet usage among motorcyclist. While, a new intervention approach were used in Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that based on the perception of a conceptual system called Safety Helmet Reminder System (SHR). Results show that the constructs variables are reliable and statistically significant with the exogenous and endogenous variables. The full structured models were proposed and tested, thus the significant predictors were identified. A multivariate analysis technique, known as Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used in modeling exercise. Finally, the good-of-fit models were used in interpreting the implication of intervention strategy toward motorcyclist injury prevention program.
