Nonlinear vibration and dynamic stability analysis of composite plates

TL;DR: In this paper, large amplitude flexural vibration characteristics of composite plates under transverse harmonic pressure or periodic in-plane load were investigated using the shear deformable finite element method.

Buckling of FG-CNT reinforced composite thick skew plates resting on Pasternak foundations based on an element-free approach

TL;DR: Buckling behavior of functionally graded carbon nanotube (FG-CNT) reinforced composite thick skew plates is studied and the element-free IMLS-Ritz method is used to obtain the buckling solutions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vibration of FG-CNT reinforced composite thick quadrilateral plates resting on Pasternak foundations

TL;DR: In this article, the free vibration behaviors of functionally graded carbon nanotube (FG-CNT) reinforced composite thick straight-sided quadrilateral plates resting on Pasternak foundations were considered.

An element-free based IMLS-Ritz method for buckling analysis of nanocomposite plates of polygonal planform

TL;DR: In this article, the buckling behavior of polygonal planform composite plate reinforced by single-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is examined. And the authors derived the governing eigenvalue equation to this problem based on the first-order shear deformation plate theory (FSDT) with a set of element-free shape functions in approximating the displacement fields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic and static analysis of FGM skew plates with 3D elasticity based graded finite element modeling

TL;DR: In this article, a static and dynamic analysis of functionally graded skew plates based on the three-dimensional theory of elasticity is presented. But the results of the static analysis were not considered for uniform step loadings.

Free vibration of antisymmetric, angle-ply laminated plates including transverse shear deformation by the finite element method

TL;DR: A finite element formulation of the equations governing the laminated anisotropic plate theory of Yang, Norris and Stavsky, is presented in this article, which is a generalization of Mindlin's theory for isotropic plates to laminated aisotropic plates and includes shear deformation and rotary inertia effects.
