Effect of wounding on the relations between vascular rays and vessels in Melia azedarach L

TL;DR: The axial and radial derivatives of the cambium showed contrasting wound responses in Melia azedarach L: vascular rays became larger, less spaced, and their shapes were modified following wounding, while vessels became smaller, and fibres were not formed.
