TLDR
In this paper, a complete framework for an effective theory of cosmological perturbations with corrections from canonical quantum gravity is presented, together with new treatments of higher-order perturbation and the specification of initial states.
Abstract
This article lays out a complete framework for an effective theory of cosmological perturbations with corrections from canonical quantum gravity. Since several examples exist for quantum-gravity effects that change the structure of space-time, the classical perturbative treatment must be rethought carefully. The present discussion provides a unified picture of several previous works, together with new treatments of higher-order perturbations and the specification of initial states.

Loop quantum cosmology: From pre-inflationary dynamics to observations

TL;DR: In this article, the authors summarize the current status of the ensuing two-way dialog between quantum gravity and observations, and conclude that "the theory has matured sufficiently to allow concrete calculations of the phenomenological consequences of its preinflationary dynamics".
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantum gravity phenomenology at the dawn of the multi-messenger era—A review

TL;DR: In this article , a review of the interdisciplinary expertise that is needed in the effective search of quantum gravity footprints in the production, propagation and detection of cosmic messengers is presented.

Detailed analysis of the predictions of loop quantum cosmology for the primordial power spectra

TL;DR: In this article, the authors provide an exhaustive numerical exploration of the predictions of loop quantum cosmology with a postbounce phase of inflation for the primordial power spectrum of scalar and tensor perturbations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pre-inflationary universe in loop quantum cosmology

TL;DR: In this article, the evolution of the background can be divided into three different phases prior to the preheating: bouncing, transition and slow-roll inflation, and the evolution is independent of not only the initial conditions, but also the inflationary potentials.

Cosmological perturbations in hybrid loop quantum cosmology: Mukhanov-Sasaki variables

TL;DR: In this article, a Born-Oppenheimer ansatz is employed to extract the dynamics of the inhomogeneous perturbations, separating them from the degrees of freedom of the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker geometry.

Quantum Gravity at a Lifshitz Point

TL;DR: In this article, a quantum field theory of gravity with dynamical critical exponent equal to $z = 3$ in the UV is presented. But this theory is restricted to satisfy the condition of detailed balance.

The Dynamics of General Relativity

TL;DR: This article appeared as Chapter 7 of an often cited compendium edited by L. Witten in 1962 as mentioned in this paper, which is now long out of print and is intended to provide contemporary accessibility to the flavor of the original ideas.

TL;DR: The Golden Oldie as discussed by the authors is an unretouched version of the Witten formulation of General Relativity, originally published as Chap. 7, pp. 227-264, in Gravitation: an introduction to current research, L. Witten, ed.
