Abstract: Some of the key services for 2020+ timeframe involve smart city applications requiring smart grid, smart transportation, smart medicine with connected cars, connected homes, moving robots, and sensors creating the environment of Internet of Things. 5G is the foundation access technology for IoT applications. It is being defined to handle extremely high capacity, high bandwidth, robust integrity, and low latency. It incorporates a range of innovative and disruptive technological advances. Radio and antenna system innovations include improvement in spectral efficiency, evolution of access schemes, utilization of carrier aggregation, and advances in antenna techniques. Spectrum support will not be the traditional static allocation based approach but will involve dynamic spectrum sharing and operations in the centimeter and millimeter frequency range. 5G network enhancements include ultra-lean design, separation between control and user planes, flexible duplex method, adaptable resource management, small cells, Coordinated Multi Point networking, and Heterogeneous Networks.

TL;DR: The features of quantum walk are utilized to construct a new S-box method which plays a significant role in block cipher techniques for 5G-IoT technologies and a new robust video encryption mechanism is proposed.
Abstract: Fifth generation (5G) networks are the base communication technology for connecting objects in the Internet of Things (IoT) environment. 5G is being developed to provide extremely large capacity, robust integrity, high bandwidth, and low latency. With the development and innovating new techniques for 5G-IoT, it surely will drive to new enormous security and privacy challenges. Consequently, secure techniques for data transmissions will be needed as the basis for 5G-IoT technology to address these arising challenges. Therefore, various traditional security mechanisms are provided for 5G-IoT technologies and most of them are built on mathematical foundations. With the growth of quantum technologies, traditional cryptographic techniques may be compromised due to their mathematical computation based construction. Quantum walks (QWs) is a universal quantum computational model, which possesses inherent cryptographic features that can be utilized to build efficient cryptographic mechanisms. In this paper, we use the features of quantum walk to construct a new S-box method which plays a significant role in block cipher techniques for 5G-IoT technologies. As an application of the presented S-box mechanism and controlled alternate quantum walks (CAQWs) for 5G-IoT technologies a new robust video encryption mechanism is proposed. As well as to fulfill needs of encryption for varied files in 5G-IoT, we utilize the features of quantum walk to propose a novel encryption strategy for secure transmission of sensitive files in 5G-IoT paradigm. The analyses and results of the proposed cryptosystems show that it has better security properties and efficacy in terms of cryptographic performance.

TL;DR: This paper presents the detailed survey about how 5G has revolutionized the medical healthcare with the help of IoT for enhancing quality and efficiency of the wearable devices and proposes state-of-the art 5G-based sensor node architecture for health monitoring of the patients with ease and comfort.
Abstract: 3D ultra high resolution videos can be downloaded within seconds by deploying state-of-the art 5G technology. It handles big data with lesser delay and provides more bandwidth. The Internet of things (IoT) is the physical networks which different technologies together Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Cellular on a one platform. The IoT for medical healthcare which is IoMT requires high data, high speed and long battery life with reliable connectivity. The 5G fulfills these requirements with its superfast capabilities and supports IoMT for human health such as, diagnosis and treatment. This paper present the detailed survey about how 5G has revolutionized the medical healthcare with the help of IoT for enhancing quality and efficiency of the wearable devices. Besides, state-of-the art 5G-based sensor node architecture is proposed for the health monitoring of the patients with ease and comfort.

TL;DR: It is shown that filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) could be a more effective solution to the shortcomings of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing in certain applications and in other applications.
Abstract: As of today, orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has been the dominant technology for broadband multicarrier communications. However, in certain applications such as cognitive radios and uplink of multiuser multicarrier systems, where a subset of subcarriers is allocated to each user, OFDM may be an undesirable solution. In this article, we address the shortcomings of OFDM in these and other applications and show that filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) could be a more effective solution. Although FBMC methods have been studied by a number of researchers, and some even before the invention of OFDM, only recently has FBMC been seriously considered by a few standard committees.

TL;DR: A meaningful approach of a public user allocated space in the shared commercial network results in maximizing the frequency spectrum use as well as ensuring that the public safety priority requirements are met.
Abstract: In order to provide nationwide broadband access to public safety users especially during emergencies, it is an imperative that the public safety user has access to a shared commercial network This document provides a summary of a proposed LTE based architecture and presents the results for ensuring that the spectrum usage is maximized and public safety requirements are fully met. Simulation based results for various scenarios show the guaranteeing of the radio admission and traffic bearer assignments for the public safety users based on the LTE radio admission control mechanisms and allocation and retention priority schemes. A meaningful approach of a public user allocated space in the shared commercial network results in maximizing the frequency spectrum use as well as ensuring that the public safety priority requirements are met.
